From what I can tell, the sims I live on must be constantly losing cpu cycles and never get them back. It's the only explanation I have for the horrid lag, failure to rez issues and failed inventory calls for changing avatars and copying items in my inventory. They need to better fine tune this soon because it is getting out oif hand how BAD SL is right now.

And this is most definately NOT a connection issue. My friend is on the exact same trunk as the Linden Labs servers are on in Dallas on a fiber optic line and is having the same issue. Conclusion: Not a connection issue. There are also zero reports of any outages or slow downs within the internet at this time. I have noticed that my inventory is constanting saying "Loading..." even though it seems as if all of my inventory items are available to me. Not to mention once after a crash where I was unable to fully change AVs and received the same error message, I LOST an inventory item upon logging back in. So I am betting this boils down to a database issue that needs to be fixed ASAP.

I am getting the same error on two different sims and it is driving me nuts. I dont crash but I DID rage quit after I was unable to change AVs after a dozen attempts. So I am now forced to walk around naked. Thanks devs! Good job! If anyone has any solutions or work-arounds I'd be very grateful.

Actually, getting any kind of feed back is very valuable to any software developement team. And to any company which produces anything or performs any service. This kind of feedback is just par for the course and it's up to Linden Labs to determine which feedback they consider to be valuable and what is just a lot of over blown whining. Thats why I gave a suggestion for the next banner compaign. Being a Software Quality Assurance Engineer myself, I can see lots of valuable feedback in these posts. From emotional responses to compliments to suggestions on improvements. This here forum is a goldmine I tell ya! A goooold mine!

Masquerade? Why not something relevent like "The Great Out Doors" or "Picnics" Or "Beaches" since it is summer now? LL seems to stick with the northern Hemisphere seasons so I'd like to suggest something of that nature for July

I think this has to do with the web crawler they are using for thier listings. Since you changed things which the crawler uses to determine it's relvancy, it takes a while for it to move back in the list. Thats why I rarely change a listing once I post it

Personally I feel it can not be over stated enough to the adults online. All it takes is one off hand comment to someone and the full force of the law swings into action. In this day of over political correctness and knee jerk reactions, it is best to protect yourself at all times from these kids who basically don't belong in an adult, over 18, virtual world.

AR him and get him banned from Sl immediately for the protection of others. I ahve encountered a 15 year old an a 16 year old in adult clubs and was pretty upset. Both were engaging in sexual talk with me. All it takes is for thier parents to see what they have done, check the chat logs on his computer and you WILL be arrested as a sex offender. The incident will also be splashed all over the newspapers and TVs that you have seduced a child and are now charged with a crime. This is serious stuff. If this ever happens to you, any employer you have in the future can just Google your name, see the articles about you being a sex offender and throw out your resume. Guilty or not, the sex offender accusation sticks with you for the rest of your life. I have had discussions with both of these kids and neither gave a darn about the rules and said they ahd a RIGHT to be in SL. Protect yourself and others, namely ME, and AR the little snot.

Hehe well, there is a limit to the spam people want. Now I receive a daily email from NewEgg that lists thier discounted products of the day. I tend to look at it most of the time in case I can snag a good deal. However the constant spam from Nordic Track and Yankee Candle can be annoying...So the way to please both types of people is to have one group thats for just questions and new product announcements and one for the daily/weekly deals/new product announcements

If your inventory of products is large enough and you have a group for your product line, you can do your very own "Deal of the Day" and reach all of the people who like your products.....all for free. So this dash deal is a waste of time and money for most merchants

Once upon a time, I had a rude neighbor place a store up at 2500m that encroached onto my land. Her store was such that here patrons were actually walking on MY parcel's airspace while the walked about part of the store. She became enraged when I placed a security device at the same level as her store that was set to only teleport home people who happened to wander onto my parcel. It caused much drama and yelling and screaming and eventually she convinced the sim owner that I was at fault and i was eventually banned. People can become extremely self righteous and make up all sorts of excuses for their "right" to place objects which encroach upon your land. But in the end they are basically rude and in the wrong no matter how much they whine and moan and state that it is not hurting anyone. Bottom line is that if your neighbor wants to place a security device or large prim on the border of thier parcel that cuts through your rudely placed object..good for the neighbor.. Take a hint and remove it.

Should have stuck with the browser based implementation. Imagine SL being used on the tablets and new smart phones...Way to tie us all to the PC Linden Labs..very short sighted in today's evolving portable computing craze

Hiyas, A lot of us furs start out at Rocket City Fur Meet to find our first avatars. Northstar Mall is another popular one as well for finding furry related things. As far as meeting other furs, there are a lot of places to go, all with slightly naughty names. Gay Yiffy Club is always populated as well as the Bondage and Yiff Club. Don't let the names scare you. There is more to life than naughty things and you can meet some great like minded friends at places like that. If you are a teen you will not be able to get in either place as they are adult only for their and our protection.

I completely agree that shopping inworld is more desireable than on the SLuM. I use SLM to search and make a list of places to visit. I also prefer to see the object rezzed inworld as opposed to a picture on a web site. Is the LOD acceptable? Was a flaw in the product hidden by the angle of the picture? Are there any other things he has that may suprise me? Are the animations and menus icky or are they good? I recently went shopping for a sculpty and didn't find it to be what I was looking for. Dejected, I walked out of the store and stumbled upon a sculpty bedroom set that was perfect for another project I have lined up. You never know what you will find if you don't go out and look. SLM is nice for research but I prefer to buy in world on site and pay in the store so the creator gets full price for thier creations and not lose that valuable 5%.

I think no matter how much we complain, Linden Labs is going to do this..So here is how I as an adult is going to react 1) Teen who offers me sex - AR 2) Teen showing genitals - AR 3) Teen in Adult area - AR 4) Teen in Mature area - AR 5) Teen seen engaging in sexual activity - AR 6) Teen on a dance pole or any adult object - AR Flood the support team with legitimate ARs and maybe, just MAYBE LL will understand why it is a bad idea to have these individuals outside of their Teen Grid. Start costing them money to have to deal with this issue because thats the only way they will give a $%^&.

exactly. The teens will need their SL fix and by March the ones who were kicked off SL for being under 16 will be on here in droves as age verified 18 year olds. Look how addicted they are to facebook and texting in general. No way will they be able to resist.

There is a very simple solution to all of this that everyone here seems to be ignoring..Stay off mainland. Mainland is ugly, over laggy and soon to be inhabited by children who can cause you to be arrested for interacting in an adult manner with them. So abandon mainland completely and stay on the private mature and adult rated islands. I personally very rarely veture onto mainland and only go there on a need only basis. And even then I am only there to shop for about 10 minutes and then LEAVE. If you insist on living on mainland..well...you get what you pay for don't you? So stop your complaining, evacuate ALL of mainland and living happily on a private mature or adult sim just like I have for the last 3 years.
