It is really funny when you run into a friend who has online status hidden, in a club somewhere.

I have done all of that 5 times, a clean install of the viewer, whitelisting the viewer in the antivirus program, nothing works. WHen I reset modem and router the double texting goes away for about 2 minutes then comes back

I know this is a super old thread, but this is now starting to happen to me and I do not know how to fix it. I do not use Norton, I use McAffee

Muff pubic hair is prims, I love them but mesh would be nicer to have mesh pubes. I don't understand why no one has made mesh pubic hair, or if they have I don't know how to do a search for them.

I always check for rules, I like in the land description and I look in the covenant when I get to the sim.

I get that, but it is seriously frustrating to pop into a sim that doesn't even have the rules posted clearly and be told to leave cuz your boobs are showing. Then they say it's against the rules but they don't show the rules or even give you the rules. It just would be a nice public service to say no topless avi's. Though I still think it is such a double standard. Men can be topless but women are shamed by being topless.

On a similar kind of subject, why are places that forbid nudity showing up in adult land? Why don't they mention that in the descriptions of the land or have rules that state it? It is frustrating.

So one of my most favorite vampire places is called No Salvation. When I first joined SL it was a pretty popular place. Now there is never anyone there, well I still go there an wander around, but its always empty. Anyway here is a picture of part of it.

I actually think there are tons of us that feel lonely in SL, always trying to find people who we can connect with. Sometimes it seems like it will never happen. I have tons of people on my list but I can't really say any of them are my friends. I not really sure why.

I have a serious love hate relationship with mesh clothes. I don't have a standard size body, but even if I did I have found out that there are at least 50 versions of what they call standard sizes.They typically will offer XXS, XS, S, M, L. So I am not even gonna go off on the XXS size, I could go on and on bout that, butttt the 5 standard sizes aren't even standard. I don't even think they are standard with the same creator. In one case I had to change my shape 3 times for the same creator. I hate having to change my shape for every piece of clothing. I have a hard time buying clothes in RL cause of my non standard shape. I am not super tall an so skinny that I look like an extra from a zombie movie (Rrrr arrrr) with next to no boobs in rl. Now with mesh it seems that creators think the same way as rl clothes makers. You adjust to us, cause we can't or won't adjust for you. Yes I know there is limitations on what the creators can do, and I know I certainly can not do any better, so why am I bitching bout this? I have recently aquired a mesh body that is great and is beautiful, and lush, the textures are rich an vibrant. The shape when attached to my normal shape is curvy and beautiful. The issue is, this mesh body is a beta model. It was/is being given away. There is currently no method of putting on traditonal clothes layers like the tango appliers for those breasts. I am limited to mesh or prim clothes for right now. so thats what started alla this anguish. and yes I know its my choice to wear this body but I even have the same problem with mesh clothes when I use my non mesh body. thats why its a love hate relationship after all, some mesh clothes are stunning and I really wish I could wear them, but I seriously do not think I should be forced to change my shape every time I want to change clothes. Thank you so much for the advise. I do plant myself there and greet every single person that comes by. Of course I do go to bed and go to work in rl and go out and do all the rl things too, so I am not there 24 hours a day. Yes of course its the people that make a place nice. My attitude is not negative, I'm usually very very happy and bouncy and giggly. I guess I just suck at doing this all. People seem to read more into things than are there. Its kinda of interesting. I have talked to lots of people who run sims that have no people going there. All of them do this stuff too, that you suggested. They too are very friendly and are just as baffled as me as to why one place is really popular and another place which provides all the same things is not. They too are just as baffled on how to get people to come to their place as I am. I don't even want a place that has huge numbers in traffic. My friends do pop over from time to time, pretty much the same amount that they did when I just had a private not open to the public place. My best wishes to you and its awesome that you have a popular sim now. Not all of us have that magic touch I guess.

Wow, I had no idea that such a simple question would create this. Anyway, I apologize to everyone for even asking. I did say thank you for the adivse. I do go and enjoy many many sims and chat with many many people. I never put any sims down while at a sim and I never even mentioned any particular sim in this post. Was a gerneral statement. There are even a few I am a regular at. I am sorry if the only answer I ever get from people when I ask why they like a place is "the people" Yes I know its the people.. What I don't know is how to get them there. I have run ads, I have personally invited people but never ever on someone's sim or in someones group. Only in hubs that allow that kind of thing. I run events, and list them in the events calendar. So yes the advise was nice and helpful but I was already doing all of that. Its become obvious to me that I actually suck at this as I've been tryinng for over a year. So I will repeat, thank you all for the advise. Hiya, Not really sure where to put this question so I will put it here. Sorry if its in the wrong place. I am completely at a loss on how to attract people to the place I created. What makes one place more popular than other places. Everytime I ask the answer I get is "The people make this place popular" Well duh.. but how do you get the people. I've tried doing what other places try and that doesn't work. So far the only common thing I can see that attracts people to hang out at a place is how ugly the place is built. It seems that the uglier and sloppier and laggier a place is built, the more people it attracts. I can't seem to build sloppy places though. Anyway, so long and thanks for all the fish.
