  1. Ahh! Thank you! I had no idea what "loli" meant, so I looked it up ... kinda wish I hadn't 😧
  2. "Successfully updated, but banned text in the description field caused an automatic unlisting of the product" This is the notice I'm getting about this description text for a general item: "This listing is for the brass version of this vanity only. If you'd like the nickel version, please see "related items" at the bottom of this page. There are 18 animations for one av. The trick with this vanity is you can access the animations via the menu, OR, you can click on the rezzed decor items and that animation will begin. It's a nice option to add a bit more realism, if you choose. You can also unlink and detach any of the decor items you choose, and still use those wearables with the vanity. If the decor items are linked, the chair must remain the main prim in order for any of the decors' animations to work on click. Not all wearables in the item have matching decor. The vanity and chair are 4Li. Each decor item is 1Li, so the highest amount of Li you'll have with all rezzed would be 11Li. This item is C/M/NT, but the scripts and wearables inside have different permissions. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to send me an IM. Thanks! :)" What in that text is causing the error??? "Trick"? "Click"? "Realism"??? Heeelp!
  3. Sweet! I figured Avastar was probably the kicker there. Now I have more options! Thank you!
  4. That is a very good point. My computer is around 7-8 years old, and I've updated with every new OS. That could definitely be the cause. Ugh. I'm guessing that means a solution isn't likely with this version. I'm so jealous of your screen shot! I want that box! I wasn't aware of the issues making animations in Blender. Do you know if that was when using it with Avastar, too? It seems there's an endless amount of things that program can do, but they're all so different from programs I learned before, (CS, AutoCad, GSU, etc.) There's very little space for intuitively figuring things out. At the advice of an animator friend, I also have DAZ Studio, but getting it up and running got too complicated for me to focus on for long. I guess I'll have to give that one another try, and hope the newer QAvimator is out of beta soon, in case it doesn't work for me. Good thing I don't make animations as my main SL hobby. Thank you for the information, Chic! Very helpful, and appreciated!
  5. QAvimator released a bento beta for PCs not long ago, with the hopes of eventually having one for Macs. I checked moments ago, and I it looks like they do now have one for Macs, (this has changed in the time since I wrote the original post,) but there's also the mention of several bugs I'm not willing to deal with yet, so I'm sticking with the old one until the new has moved further along. That said, the issue I'm having is with the original version. The box and torus were there for a long time, then suddenly gone. I just want them back, and uploading the program again doesn't fix it. Also, if you want more info about it, here's a link to a post from this past March. I read somewhere else the current developer, Fig, has had some issues with his hands, so updating is taking longer than expected. For the time being, I just want the original version to work the way it did the first few years I had it https://bitbucket.org/QAvimator_Team/qavimator-beta/wiki/Fig's Progress Report I am interested in learning to make animations in Blender, but with everything else about Blender having taken so long to learn, I'm a little stressed about the idea. Guess it's time to start looking at Youtube videos and putting my Avastar files to use Thank you for your reply, even if it wasn't the answer I was hoping for!
  6. Hello I have been using QAvimator for a little over a year to make random animations I'm not able to find elsewhere, or that are needed to fit a specific item. Early on, all of the four prop options showed up when clicked, (box, sphere, cone and torus.) After a while, the box prop stopped showing up at all. I have removed the program and reinstalled a few times, but I get the same result every time. I've attached a screenshot of what I see when I click the box icon. It appears to be there, but is transparent - doesn't matter if it's attached to the av or not. I never use the torus, but have discovered it has the same issue. The sphere and cone are both fine, but sometimes I can't make those work for what I need. Has anyone else ever had this problem, and know how to fix it, or at least what's causing it? Grabbing a new version of the program is not doing the trick. I've also noticed there is the option to load props. I'm assuming this is previously saved props created in the program itself, (for maintaining exact position, memory, etc.) The file extension for saving props is ".prp" which is not a file type I could personally create anywhere else to upload into QAvimator. Maybe someone out there has some saved, basic QAvimator cubes I could borrow? Also, if it matters, I'm on a Mac, and I know the updated version of QAvimator is currently for PCs only.
  7. Hello. I had an issue uploading a mesh file yesterday and I wanted to share the fix I discovered. This will not fix every "dae parsing error" issue, but it's a fix I wasn't able to find prior when looking through the SL forums and knowledge base. I'm on a MacBook Pro, and using Blender 2.73. The file I was trying to upload was the "version d" of a file that had previously uploaded fine, ("version d" had it's own LOD and physics files.) The original file folder was getting too cramped, so I created a new folder inside it for this version, and moved all the associated files for it into the new folder. The only differences between "version d" and the previous versions were some verticies had been moved around, and the UV map had been altered to reflect the changes. Once I finished "version d", I tried to upload it, to no avail. The viewer upload screen was telling me "dae parsing error" with the LOD3 version of the file. My secondlife.log listed the issue as "2015-07-31T14:24:58Z INFO: doLoadModel: Error with dae - traditionally indicates a corrupt file." I knew the file likely wasn't corrupt. I went back through the Blender file and checked all the verticies and texture seams. No issues there. I tried uploading an older version again, and that one worked fine. I then looked through all SL help section and tried the suggestions. I learned a few new things, but nothing was helping with my upload. I gave up and decided to redo "version d" from the last working file. After an hour or so of more changes, the new one wasn't uploading either. Finally, I tried moving "version d" to the folder above, where the still-working versions were located. This actually worked! The ONLY issue was the file was buried one level too deep in the folders. Extremely frustrating! I've since been told by another SL user, they've had the same issue with the same fix before, so I wanted to put the info in a place where it might help someone else. I was going to file a bug, but there was no "create new bug" button on the SL page. All I saw was "create new dashboard," and that didn't appear to be the right thing to do. My browser uses an ad blocker and some other script-watching apps, so it's possible the button was there, but not showing up. I used the link off this page: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Issue_tracker to go to this page: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG which was the page recommended, but not showing where to put the information. If anyone can help with that, and send me a link to the actual starting point of typing out new bug info, I'd be happy to move this there.
  8. I've been having the same issues, and my crash usually rolls in right as I'm trying to upload a texture. Everything just freezes and my only option is to "force quit" the program. This started yesterday. I assumed it was an issue with Pheonix, (although those seem rare,) so I tried the newest SL viewer and then Kirstens. Both crashed just as often. I cleared my cache and reinstalled the version of Pheonix I was using. It continued to happen. I have to assume it's an issue with SL/LL's servers. I've been noticing several friends go offline only to come back minutes later, again and again. My computer is less than a year old, has a ton of memory available, and I'm not running any other programs at the same time. I've only been on SL less than two years, but this is also the first time I've ever experienced this many crashes in such a short period of time.
