  1. Anyone Having Login Problems? I haven't been able to log in now for a couple of hours. My load screen just hangs and I log in.... I see nothing on the grid status page. I was fine then things started to get laggy for me: I couldnt edit objects, itemes were rubber banding so I logged out and haven't been able to get back in since.
  2. Ya I figured as much but thought somewhere there must be a countdown hovertext script in SL! And I yes I am willing to pay for for it- IM me in game to discuss it - I also have other script jobs too
  3. Greetings, I am looking for a script that would show a countdown timer (say 60 Seconds) above a prim the moment it was rezzed. For example, the hovertext would state "60 Seconds to Self Destruction" with the 60 counting down to zero... I have search the wiki and Marketplace and have not been able to find anything specific. Your help will be appreciated :) Cheers! Farthibngton
  4. Greetings, I am looking for an antique toy Victorian or China doll, the kind with a classic porciline face. Ideally I need this to be age worn such as cracks in the face, tattered clothing. Prefferable in a sitting pose. Must be mod as I want to resize and add sound effects. Does anyone have one for sale or can provide referrals? Please contact me in game or via this thread. Many thanks! Farthington Whetmore
  5. I just visited this place. In actuallity, it is only half a sim for close to 10k weekly ( the other half sim is reserved)
  6. PERFECT! That was exactly what I was looking for Coby And thank you to all for your suggestions and listings; even to the "Ball Buster" for a minor chuckle.
  7. And your post "Helped" how? So posting irrelevant information on other people's threads gets you the title of "Helper"...
  8. Anyone have a url to an active chinese music staion for SL? The ones I have found are dead air... I am also looking for Carribean (more then just Reagea please), Polynesian (more then just Hawian please), and Russian. Thanks

  10. Not sure why but suddenly my system crashed while in SL and when I tried to log back in the process becomes unresponsive at the "Initializing Texture Cache". So I rebooted my system several times with the same issue. So I shut down my system and walked away for around 30 mins but still the process is unresponsive at the same point. I decided to uninstall and reinstall the viewer and I did so 3 times but again the login freezes at "Initializing Texture Cache". So I installed the Pheonix Viewer and I can log in without any issues. So the problem is with the SL viewer. I began experiencing several other issues about 2 day before this happened and those included intense lag when visiting other sims, and screen freezes and blackouts when either accessing my inventory or IM chats. I have never experienced these latter two problems in the 6 years in SL! So needless to say I a rather puzzled by this. Any thoughts as to why my SL Viewer will no longer work for me? Cheers!
  11. Well it prompts the teleport page but nothing happens when I click on the Teleport Now button which should pop the TP window in game. The same thing occured a few versions ago and was resolved with a quick patch...
  12. Hi, I just installed the latest version of the SL viewer and the marketplace SLurls no longer pop in game when clicking on the Teleport Now button. I have had to manually copy and past into viewer. Won't be using Marketplace until that is fixed.
  13. LOL Dres yes it is a public forum and I too have every right to express myself in a fashion that I feel is appropriate and if you don't like it- tuff! I was gracious toward her first reply, her second reply was a waste of time and clearly indicated a lack of understanding of the situation and I could of expressed that in a much more colorful manor but I chose not too ... Thank you, nuff said- moving on - Happy Saturday!
  14. True enough phil and I acknowledged peggy's post and I had made statements that cleary indicated that the problem is related to SL Viewer download and not a hardware issue. But instead of choosing a different direction she chose to justify her initial post in a second post and go on about values of computer cleaning - LOL - we covered that, why go over it again so my "shouts" were done to simply emphisize the issues because apparently I wasn't making myself clear enough. So when Alicia posted her reply that went beyond a can of compressed air, I expressed my satifaction with it and that how this was the type of answer I would of expected from a Helper once the helper's initial reply was determined not to be an issue...
  15. Thanks for poking your nose in and contributing absolutely nothing to the thread which apparently you also didn't read very well because had you, you would of seen that I said and I quote " I appreciate your recommendations" ... So before you accuse people of being pathetic, actually read the comments, then ask yourself if you have anything "positive" to contribute to the thread or do you just want to make yourself out to be some pompous troll.
  16. Alicia - Thank You. Your is a very insightful reply to my post. The sort of reply I would expect from a forum "HELPER" Cheers!
  17. LOL I Don't know why you are still going on about the High temperature thing so apparently you are still misunderstanding my post. So allow me to reiterate in point format: - I DON'T HAVE CRASHING PROBLEMS WITH ANY OTHER ONLINE MMO OR ONLINE WAR GAMES - I ONLY JUST BEGUN HAVING THESE FREQUENT CRASHING PROBLEMS WITH SECOND LIFE IMMEDIATELLY AFTER INSTALLING THE LATEST VERSION OF THE SL VIEWER - IT IS NOT A CPU OVERHEATING ISSUE!! And please enough with the newbie PC maintenance tutorials - sheesh!
  18. Hi Peggy, I appreciate your reply however you missed two things: I have been playing SL since 2006 and these crashing problems didn't exisit until I installed the new version of the SL viewer. I have more than adequate system ventilation, I do regular cleaning, have a high end PC, and I play MMOs and other online games without any problems such as Battlefield 3 which are far more taxing on system resources then Second Life will ever be . Therefore, this is not a case of overheating, this problem is an immediate consequence of the new viewer version installation! The installation has created a conflict somewhere and before I purge my system of all SL files, I wanted to find out if anyone else is experienceing similar problems....but again I appreciate your recommendations but they are not applicable in this case. Cheers!
  19. I have never crashed so often in 6 years of SL than I have since I DL'd the latest version of the SL Viewer. I have been crashing constantly every ten minutes somethimesI go for 20 but it is ridiculously annoying! I don't know why or if anyone else has this problem but I was FINE until I DL this new version a couple of days ago. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks
  20. I like the new viewer and the 3 introductory videos were helpful but unless I am missing something, clicking on a SLURL in the web marketplace (not in game) used to pop open the Places Tab in the viewer with a teleport to the store location if you wanted to see the item in game. However, this no longer appears to be the case with this "new" viewer and I have had to copy/past the store name from Markeplace and paste it into the search field to try and find the desitnation. Needless to say this is anyoying at best... Am I missing something or did the designers miss something?
  21. Now is a good time to explore Haunted Houses and Attractions! Come see mine at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Solbim/122/246/55 or visit my Haunted House portal at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Solbim/60/209/47 for direct Teleports to about 36 other Haunted House destinations
  22. I have been adding new elements to my Haunted Manor so do drop by for a visit - Mwhahaha http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Solbim/122/247/55
  23. I am not posting reviews any more, instead I just provide direct TPs from my Haunted House Portal in game but if people want to review what others have created, why not? Its no different than movie reviews and we all have different tastes but they still write them! Most haunted attractions in game will have a retail element in them or close by so as long as its a Halloween Theme - send me a Landmark and a full perm logo texture and I will add it to my TP boards **Only uploaded images may be used in postings**://secondlife.i.lithium.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif" border="0" alt=":smileyhappy:" title="Smiley Happy" />
  24. LOL I hardly think I or any other sane person would initiate RL legal action for the amount or product in question... I trust that was an attempt of humor on your part. - I invite any Linden to audit my inventory - if I had the item I would have installed it at my Halloween Haunted House set up because that is why I purchased it in the first place. - I didn't accuse the store of not delivering the item, I am saying that once the store took my money, I didn't get the item. I am however, accusing the store and the persons I have delt with, with failing to resolve this simple issue and by not doing so has caused me to formulate an opinion regarding their business practices. I am not using the term fraudulent, I am saying questionable and nefarious business practices. How could I not form such an opinion when I purchased the item in good faith, went through the proper channels to explain what happened, was basically told "too bad" , and even after days of attempting to use logic as to why it would be advantageous to resolve this customer service issue on so many levels, I was flatly told "Don't Write To Me"... And with one final attempt I explained to them that if this situation wasn't resolved that I would warn my 1300 + group membership of this matter.. You think one wouldn't risk damaging their brand's reputation for such a trivial amount!?? Yet their response was banning me - LOL I will refrain from saying what I truely think of these individuals. Now here is an example of great customer service: I purchase many items from SHX a retailer of club items a year ago. Last week I removed one of their items from one of my locations and a few days later I went to look for and it was missing from my inventory. I went through every thing and could not find it. I sent off a note card explaining what happened and the item was sent to me a couple of days later. Another example: During by buying spree for my Haunted House, I purchased a well and when delivered I had accidently click refuse or discard what ever it is, while I was closing off other pop-up boxes. I sent off a notecard explaining what happened and the next day the item was sent to me. This is the type of customer service that instills brand loyalty.
