  1. New lighthouse going in SSPE2244
  2. Keeping away from the hard working Moles but they are terraforming as I watch from the small hill on Square Dance. Watching them create new areas is awe-inspiring.
  3. New land has appeared while I was away from the keyboard I'm standing in SSPE2243 for anyone who wants to have a look as more Mole magic happens. There is a lot of grassland waiting for development.
  4. Amazing to see these lovely new regions getting delevoped so quickly.
  5. Yay. Getting ready to greet the Hanshin party boat to sail over
  6. Very true, but the water nearest Hanshin and up north appears to accomodate a water connection. Maybe
  7. Interesting question and my impression was that yes auctions are happening much quicker. I accidentially found a live example in Yongchon in north east Jeogeot. Still yellow on the world map but already in the auction queue.
  8. Until Patch says not today I'm fuelled up and waiting to sail across to the new landmass. This is obviously making two optimistic assumptions, today's the day and there will be water bridge from Hanshin 😀
  9. They did say that but that leaves me mystified as to why locate the new area so close to existing land, it's not like they don't have a lot of the grid to play with. My hope is that they have changed the plan to having one or two connesctions with existing land so we could see the new land over the void water and maybe sail/fly in at a couple of locations. I get that they need to retain the fantsay immersion so maybe it's just so close on the map to let us know it's there 🤨
  10. Hanshin is the place to see the new homes to from the void, I'm sure of it 'sometime' And it certainly looks like there is something a little different to both Barneys Feif and SSPE2539
  11. Very true. The small but steady numbers in Hanshin remind me of the time we waited at the edge of Bellisseria and then walked over to the newly opened land.
  12. Looks like one of the lovely moles has joined the viewing party in Hanshin... Though all we can see for the moment is the void ocean.
  13. The Moles are busy this morning! Watching the green dots is quite a fun passtime
  14. The question is whether we will be able to see into the new fantasy regions just a short distance away at these points or whether they will connect up. Hopefully the latter, even if just in these two locations.
  15. Obviously we do not know the plan but we do know that LL have created new connecting water regions during the southward expansion of Bellisseria. They did so then to improve the connectivity of the newly created land and also, I'd guess, to improve SL more generally. The pictures below are from past forum posts, apologies I only captured the maps so hope the original posters don't mind me re-posting them without credit. The reason for doing so is to illustrate the point that while the northern Jeogeot additions in yellow were necessary to connect to Bellisseria the additions further south were not, they allowed access to Jeogeot Gulf. This was a wonderful thing for LL to do and, fingers crossed, I hope they do it again in south east Satori! To show my point visually drawing on the current world map the green lines were added regions allowing Bellisseria to connect, the turquoise was added to allow onward southern connectivity for travellers. It was an amazing thing to do then and I have a feeling they will do it again as the benefit of Blake access and the many other connections from adding the 18 regions is even greater.
  16. Having a look round at recent developments I am amazed to see what looks like an underground tunnel from Windsurfers Solitude to Brady Stream. Moles were busy at the north end so I didn't hang around and leave them to work their magic in peace.
  17. Sailing along Bingo Strait in recent days I have watched as the land formerly part of a mainland land rentals business has been handled by LL. Firstly massive thanks from me and I am sure many other sailors and explorers for Linden Lab maintaining the the former 'Brenda's Channel' which was a open waterway between Linden water regions, marked yellow below: Initially owned by Guy Linden it is now renamed Quagmire Channel and owned by Govenor Linden maintining it as a useful cut through for everyone. I have been impressed by the efficiency of the auction process while being astonished by the prices achieved. Pastiche (56736 M²), which is to the right of the top two purple squares, being occupied by existing lands (one saying 'I'll never sell') went for L$1.3m. Horrorbag (32768 M²) which is where the bottom left half purple region sold for L$1.5m, Woodfall (60416m2) sold for L$889k, this is which is where the red for rent and yellow for sale. Disappointment for LL is Skeezits (65536m2) which went for a 'bargain' L$201k, this is the land to the left of the yellow box region. As you'd expect the for sale plots are at land baron mark-ups but for me this shows there is a a lot of money to be made still in premium land and obviously the sale proceeds are additional revenue to LL.
  18. That is an epic journey and thanks so much for sharing the details and the map. I love travelling around the grid in one of my boats and exploring, seems like time to get a hovercraft to go even further!
  19. I dream about having exclusive access to extra sailing regions in those locations where that would aid navigation or allow travel that currently just stops. For example Bellisseria to Sansara, Bellisseria to South of Satori. A network of VIP sailing regions as a reward for paying LL for an additional membership tier. Not very likely, but I can dream...
  20. I love my boats and exploring the waterways in SL. The Bandit 280R and 380R are fabulous but for Bellisseria I'd give a special mention of the lovely Marlin catamaran by Rubber Bunny.
  21. This has the benefit of certainty, and I have found the Linden land team very responsive and helpful when they get to your ticket. Another alternate, though a gamble, is to ask Linden Lab to set the land for auction. If you are the only bidder you will get it for 0.5L$/m but clearly it could attract other interest and so you may regret not paying 1L$/m.
  22. I've revisited the south east coast of Satori to check what would be needed to connect the new Bellisseria river to the eastern continents. Via narrow protected channels you can get to Stromberg where ban lines prevent progress southward: The next region south Carver is almost all ban lines then Orlov is not accessible. Next up southward is Khan where there is land right to the void in one location. In the next region one of SL's mysteries a region Blofeld with a protected water in the Linden maintenence group along the eastern edge so that is sailable. Same protected strip in Klebb so that is passable in a small craft. Blockades resume in Morzeny with one 1024 with ban lines. Two ban line plots in Grunther and Toussaint. Nick Mack has one. Abzorbaloff has ban lines along the whole region edge. Fendahl has one. Greel is open but built to the void edge. Turning west in Van Statten the path is clear but in Baltazar has two ban lines. Willowtail and Greybar have one each. Thinking I was safe at the end of my journey I was teleported home by a Mystical Rentals 10 second orb in Imelza. So I make that a minimum of 15 new water regions required for safe passge. Thinking about it some more the two regions with an existing protected edge would be no use if new regions were placed to the north and south you potentially couldn't get 'round the corner' so it's actually 17 required. Which is only 1 less than when I last counted lol. Hopefully one day they will arrive one day so that intercontinental flight and sailing will be possible from Western to Eastern continents.
  23. Just out in my boat along the new river from the rez zone near Satori toward the houseboats to see if anything had changed since my last expedition and sure enough a new island has appeared in Bergheim. I'm sure this wasn't here the other day, many commented how wide the river is so maybe the moles are adding some features for us to navigate.
  24. I thought I counted 18 water regions would be required so very feasible if LL want that lovely new wide river to lead onward into mainland. The other question is when/if onward connections are provided into Sansara rather than hitting the southern tip. I realize these topics have been debated recently but we can surely dream of possibilities after the massive new areas to explore released in recent days
  25. Walked over to the next region to the west, Muesli and I'm among chalets, looks like where I was in the last post is a placeholder.yet to be developed. The Moles have even placed a rez zone for us to explore, how cool! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Buffalo%20Springs/160/99/22
