  1. Its often also necessary using the undeform option after getting up from the latest adult furniture, as they also influence the avatar physics and they often do get stuck after.
  2. I would consider the TMS and Bandit boats being the best mainstream boats, despite the fact they are nothing i would call good myself. Since a decade or even more, they recycle the same water splash, engine and wind sound for every kind of boat. In fact, sailing their tiny windsurf board sounds exactly the same like their giant trimaran. Letting your friend taking the helm is a chunky thing to do, too. If the owner doesnt sit first, nothing works, there are no whitelists and there is no kick option to get rid of strangers just sitting on your boat, unless you as the owner get up, and rezz a new boat. I have quite some boats, but stopped dumping my money into this lazy business thats only about releasing a few new models a year and doesnt put any love or at least basic functionality into at all, but asking for 1.5 - 6K LD each. At least this boats will teach you some basics about sailing/boating, if nothing else at all. If you are into fishing, you could give hunter marine a try. If you wanna shred over the ocean with a police boat, try the Marlin motor cat. If you are into hovercrafts, maybe the Halob is what you want.
  3. Technically it has access to blake sea, but its only viable for avid sailors and boaters, i would say. Once i started in the north of bellisseria, where the small airport is located right at the embankment of the big river, following it to go further north, in a quite fast paramotor, going at 50mph. Scratching the Satori coastline was quite smooth, as i was able to cut some corners and not sticking to the waterways at all times, but after all i had to cross around 150 regions and it took me around half an hour to arrive at blake sea. If someone lives further down south in Belli its easily 200+ regions to cross. Could be a little too much for someone wanting to have a quick trip to Sirens and hanging out with friends.
  4. Thank you for explaining, Beq Im a bloody newbie to Blender, but i think to know that i indeed didnt apply any scale on my build in blender. As soon as the elevator was done, i exported it as DAE and rezzed it in SL using local mesh. I dont see it as broken. Just a little incovenient, as i have to shrink and restore the proportions of the object after rezzing.
  5. I dont really see a reason for transactions being that slow, other than them trying to keep the money as long as possible for obvious (greedy) reasons.
  6. Not sure if thats a bug or a mistake i made, but i ran into something strange yesterday by using local mesh. I built an elevator entry (backdrop) in blender that actually consists of the frame and 2 closed doors, joined into one single object in blender. -When uploading it the usual way, its around 3 meters high and 2 meters wide, as expected. -If i use the mesh preview, it will get spit out as 30 meters wide and 1 meter high.
  7. If nothing else at all, you and you partner are obviously very easy to entertain. Youll have a blast in SL.
  8. Not sure if i understood: Registered bots are not affecting the parcels traffic, or they dont count as avatars at all, not affecting the regions max avatar setting? When i had my club on a mainland parcel, i was slightly afraid about the latter. We had constantly around 15-30 people when partying, and if we would have gotten a neighbor with a "big family", we would have had to move the club.
  9. What made you crouch in first place? Did you use an AO yourself? Is it still attached? Or did you get invited by someone to dance/crouch?
  10. Its not about age that much, more like about what people are here for and how they spend their time. Despite the fact im 15 yo, im sure, you know more about scripts than i ever will.
  11. You are right, and i also miss the old times a little. But buying and dressing up an avatar is actually one of the very few things that can be done and learned in a reasonable amount of time. And there is also something like group pressure, im sure. I lived close to blake sea (not mainland) for a while, and whenever one of the new neighbors rezzed a self built house, a few of us (including me) got a little upset about the uglyness of the "brick" placed there, and shortly after the landlord also asked the tennant to get a home from the MP they can approve to match the regions theme.
  12. I built a lot with prims in the first years of my SL starting in 2007, hardly keeping up with sculpties and then completely left behind when mesh came around the corner. I do see that as a personal downgrade for my worth being a SL citizen over years, but i dont wanna blame SL for. Technology evolves and there is always some people being way better than the majority of us, getting the biggest pieces of the cake. If LL would have set up some mesh/bento barriers to keep Jon Doe able to build a house himself, people would complain about SL still looking like 2010 in 2020. SL would be more empty and outdated, instead of being fairly crowded and more boring. I gave up on creating content a lot of years ago, apart from textures for logos, paintjobs, etc. But every once in a while wonders do happen. After the 20th blender tutorial i tried to follow, i finally found one explaining things matching my vibe, doing things on the screen i was able to understand and to reproduce. Long story short. There is no way to turn back time, and no way to get a big chunk of SL users the knowledge they would need to use SL as it was used 15 years ago. Its up to each person and up to how important it is for them to do other things than just using objects bought from other creators.
  13. Im glad this thread made me read some of the Jira "feature requests". Its among other curiosities like: "Whenever i teleport somewhere, im not fully rezzed for others in the same moment. I feel embarrassed and would teleport away if i would know about my appearance. Therefore I would like to see myself the same way others see me." No, i didnt make this up, its there. Some people really think its a good idea. I really feel for the Linden employee who has to read all that genius ideas.
  14. Hello Dexsey, You dont need the tattoo layer at all for now. If im not wrong, the glam affair skins are BOM skins (just rightlick and ADD to apply it to your lara body). But first hit the BOM button in the lara HUD. Then you will see the glam affair BOM skin on your body you are going to apply, and additionally it will make the system avatar disappear. The presets in the lara hud tint the lara mesh body, but they will turn off BOM and your glam affair skin will vanish too, so make sure not to click it. Evo and EvoX dont mix. You need a skin made for the head version you use.
  15. Rigged mesh clothing already clips very often when dancing, for example. I imagine it to be worse with physical clothing.
  16. They talk about decorators, whatever that means for them. Creators are not mentioned at all. Im pretty sure, anyone can apply. Apart from that its hard to imagine that any mesh creator will spend a big amount of hours for building a lot of new objects and decoration just to win that contest.
  17. Pulled from the Jira: Whats next? Sending mesh, texture and skin creators to prison, because visible neck seams and alpha glitches also break immersion?
  18. Having a refund being granted is something im expecting as a customer and its something i also do as the one selling stuff. The threshold about when to ask for a refund might vary individually.
  19. No description, no price, no location/SLURL, just a pic telling absolutely nothing. Congrats, thats the worst land sale offer ive seen so far. You won as many laundries as you can carry.
  20. With that happy attitude youll have a lot of fun, welcome
  21. Thats weird. Another thing you could do is logging in an alt of yours. Didnt happen often, but i also got the same error message like you a few times in the past. I logged in an alt just because i didnt know what to do else, and it worked, and then i logged back in with Resi succesfully. In case you use a laptop, you also could connect to another wifi network, maybe? If you dont have nice neighbors you can ask, head to starbucks for a coffee and wifi. Sorry for the unqualified answers. Its the best i can do as a non tekkie.
  22. You could try logging in using the SL viewer, blackdragon, etc.
  23. No, but at the time where i ran my live music venue on a mainland parcel i was always a bit fearful about something like this to happen. A large group of bots can ruin ones day, but also a new neighbor moving in, rezzing 500 breedables and other prim and script heavy stuff, getting the whole region performance to decline rapidly. There are a few possibilities -you didnt check out the region before you moved in and those bots have been there before for any reason. -you just had bad luck and after your arrival the bots appeared and got stuck for whatever reason -you have an enemy It will be a bit harder, finding a suitable parcel at private estate for the same price where running a club is allowed, but i would go for it. The most landlords wont accepts any bot gatherings, im sure. I hope you dont get too frustrated about.
  24. Yes, in the details of your product you can put a link (SLURL) to your inworld store. Then its gonna look like this:
