  1. I checked the limit of inventory a prim could contain as I had thought it was 3,000. And Rowan Amore is quite right - it is 10,000. While on that page, I looked unsuccessfully for the maximum size of inventory a linkset could hold (important for texture organisers for example). Does anyone know where I can find that information please? Thank you
  2. I am glad you got another place, Marianne, and so sorry that RL is not allowing you to have the stable space in SL to show off your talents.
  3. Have you considered having several alts with premium accounts which will give you "free tier" for mainland parcels. If you pay yearly, you do not pay VAT on premium membership. Your alts would join a group to amalgamate the land, and you can make use of the group bonus that way too. You will need to buy the plot of course.
  4. There are several carrying over shoulder animations in this pack... Second Life Marketplace - Battlefield / Emergency Rescue Animations and HUD test 1.3
  5. Sent you a couple of scripts inworld that could be adapted.... I think!
  6. I may have misremembered but I think there is / was a way to run a sequence by script... where random play should be possible... Can't see how it would be with the notecard method. I will try and find it when I next log in.
  7. so much! 0 L$ listings for DEMOs not linked to a full version, even though demo is unchecked, dominate. Very often, the same shops... Try it - Second Life Marketplace I went through several weeks of flagging and I've just given up now. It's overwhelming. What makes it worse is that trying to exclude DEMO using "NOT DEMO" etc. with "newest" set returns clearly inaccurate results (less than 10,000) and is not ordered as to date. Try it - Second Life Marketplace - NOT DEMO
  8. I wonder if this may be useful for you? Is it possible to create a button in the menu to turn on and off a rotation script for a rocking chair? - AVsitter2 Support Q&A This is for a button that operates a swing... but to my mind could also operate a door?
  9. Does the order in which you add body and head skin matter? I wear an ancient classic skin with Velour as the body skin... I have to add the neck fix last for it to work. Just an idea, this may not be the issue at all...
  10. Granted. You find the mammoths' lair is your garden and they adore all your flowers too... I wish for flexible time - stretch the minutes when I want... and shorten unpleasant hours.
  11. Granted. You step out of your door unaware the delivery has been left on your door step. Oops. I wish snow wasn't cold.
  12. This is so Escher! I had no idea this could be possible in SL. Could you do one of his stairs, pretty please? I will buy the alcohol:)
  13. On a different viewer to you most likely (I use Genesis), I have had several instances lately of group chat coming in from groups I had left. My viewer doesn't do toast, so I can't tell you about that.
  14. very helpful i got my male avatar's toenails back BUT he's got remains of pink nail polish... I have tried different polishes and it persists. Does anyone have nail polish remover please?
  15. If all the objects are yours, can you throw your cursor around them and lasso a lot all at once and then set the group? I can on my place... If an item is very small it may not be captured by the lasso unless you're very close. Perhaps go round at a low light setting after that and see what isn't yet highlighted.
  16. Some viewers (maybe all..) have a setting in preferences that makes all objects rezzed by you be set to the right land group. I think the land information window (Objects tab) shows you what is not set to group? You can highlight those items from there. Turn on midnight and you'll see them easily.
  17. PEEVE: I now crave milkshake - creamshake will do too. SL PEEVE: A week of flagging demos not linked to a full product seems to have done very little!! I live in hope... AND... excluding demos (NOT DEMO) on the L$0 search still does not work when I set "newest".
  18. What works for me is to attach a prim (anything at all) - my avatar goes grey and then the texture loads... worth givng that a try maybe...
  19. You can use the test grid (ADITI) to see how much land impact your imported objects have. You can upload for free there. Preview Grid - Second Life Wiki
  21. Very cute picture of you playing the violin!
  22. Perhaps while you're waiting to sort out Firestorm running, you might like to try Genesis Viewer. It's a fork of the Singularity viewer and I find that this release works well for me: Genesis (64 bit) (1.8.957) Oct 8 2023 15:13:58 (Channel: Genesis Release) It is one of the TPVs - here's a website link: Genesis Viewer
  23. That happens quite a lot. My building platform is above the shop. Sometimes I'm already in the shop pfaffing about. I don't go into the shop to meet them or ask if I can help if I see them, but leave them to wander about. Like others have said in this thread, shop assistants / merchants approaching me is something I don't like for myself and think a lot of people may feel similar. If I am around and notice they made a purchase inworld I will send an IM thanking them. Sometimes that's how a conversation starts. Or they may ask me a question. Or I might warn them about the frogs... I'll encourage them to try everything (I try not to just have things in boxes). Such a bonus if they have wacky sense of humour too. Invariably it's a nice experience for me. People tend to be very complimentary (scared to death of me no doubt) - and I thoroughly enjoy that. I mean the compliments! I might give them something that I think they'll like from my shop (or inventory - not everything makes its way in to the shop as I'm lazy with making boxes and listings too). Especially if they like prank things that frequently explode in my hands...
