Hey there! I joined in 2009, played till 2010, and took a 2 year break. I'm back and I'm in the same situation as you are. I'm 19 and into art, literature and music. Add me in-world if you'd like to chat.

This was part of the reason why I disappeared from SL for a while. Some of my friends seemed to have left and being the introvert that I am, I had a tough time making new ones. When I first joined, the places I hung out in had more than a 100 people in them. And now those same places have around 20.

I introduced SL to a friend of mine. She seemed interested the first few days but then lost interest because her internet and graphics weren't good so she couldn't get the full experience. My other RL friends aren't into gaming or MMORPG's and I know that if I told them about SL they wouldn't be interested so I just don't tell them. Some of my guy friends may be interested, but I'm afraid to tell them because I know all they'll do is go to adult clubs. And I really don't want to imagine my RL friends engaging in pixel sex, haha.

Haha, I know how you feel. Though, I don't initiate conversation. I'm the loner-type that just sits by herself in a corner until someone else finally starts a conversation with me. lol.

*frantically waves arms like a goose* Me toooo! ZOMG! lol. :robottongue: The longest break I've had from SL was almost 9 months (no, I'm not pregnant. :robotsurprised:). So, I've lost my friends and wander SL quite hopelessly. :robotsad: So, I'd be glad to chat with you. :robotvery-happy:

I'm kind of a newbie again. Even though it's been more than a year since I joined, I take many long breaks from SL due to RL issues. Hence, I didn't get the chance to make friends and the ones that I talked to have forgotten me and are no longer in my friends list. :smileyindifferent: So, I'd be happy to talk to anyone.
