How could I get the old, visible user profiles back?

After being pestered for a while I downloaded the latest update of viewer 2 - the download went without a hitch. I cannot view user profiles anymore, not even my own. It tells me that I should enable cookies, but my internet browser does accept them. (and the link below that message does not work) How can I get back to the real user profiles? Do I have to download an older version of the viewer? If so, where can I find it? Thank you for your time :)
