  1. Hello Miranda. It is a known issue last 2 weeks which affects several residents. Please see: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SH-2946 and http://jira.phoenixviewer.com/browse/FIRE-4945 You can vote there, watch, add your comments and follow the suggestions there. You can try to disable the Basic Shaders at first under preferences --> graphics. If this doesn't no work download the last drivers for your graphics card. If you haven't a link, let us know. You can also try to download again an older version of V3. You can find them all here. In this case and if it works, don't forget to set your hardware updates no to be installed automatically under Preferences --> Setup. Another solution which seems that works for some residents is to set "RenderMaxTextureIndex" to 0 under Menu Advanced (Ctrl+Alt+D) --> Show Debug Settings in Viewer 3. See if something makes any difference.
  2. 2 more residents reported the same problem in SL Q&A. Thanks for your reply, Kenbro.
  3. Hello Brutus and welcome to SL Forums. You are not the only one, i can't eighter. Same thread below: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Technical/Cannot-view-profiles-application-error/qaq-p/1400493
  4. Hello christine and welcome to SL Forums. If you mean that you spoke with someone and accidentally you closed the im window, in viewer 3 show the list with your friends and go on the last tab "Recent". There you will find him/her except of you relogged. If so, the only way to find the resident is to navigate into C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife \ chirstine_gallacher folder. You will find a .txt files with the residents you have spoken.
  5. Hello to all. Has anyone else problem with my.secondlife.com ? The web page won't open and when i try to open a profile in world i get the error message: Application error. An error occurred in the application and your page could not be served. Please try again in a few moments. If you are the application owner, check your logs for details.
  6. Hello TrainMe. You are not the only one. I have exactly the same problem and error message. My feeling is that it is a temporal glitch. I hope LL to be aware and fix it soon. So, don't worry about.
  7. Hello dylan. Normally you have to wait up to 24 hours. That what Linden Lab officially reports, although usually resident get their purchases after some seconds or minutes. If this time expires and you don't get your stuff, you have 2 options: Contact the merchant. Open your Dashboard --> Shopping --> Marketplace --> My Marketplace --> My account --> Order History --> If you see that your last purchases delivered means that the merchant got payed --> Take a copy of your last purchases (there you see the name of the merchant)--> Open your inventory --> create a New Notecard --> Paste there --> send the notecard to the merchant(s) describing what was happened and asking politely for redelivery. Contact support: If your purchased your stuff at Marketplace and if you don't get a reply by the merchant, you can submit Submit a ticket --> Marketplace category --> Failed Marketplace Delivery. Explain analytically what was happened, include the order number and the name(s) of the item(s) that failed to be delivered and wait for a reply. Good luck.

  10. Hello again. Yes you can. Normally you should be able to remove stuff you don't want any more from your shopping cart. If you can't access your cart or you can't remove your items you have to submit a ticket --> Marketplace --> General Marketplace Issues. Explain the problem there, report if you get an error message, include a pic which shows the items into your cart and wait for a reply.
  11. Hello Bella and welcome to SL Forums. Are you sure that you don't wera an alpha layer? Maybe then a shoe base? Right click on your avatar --> My appearance --> Wearing to see if you wear something and remove it with right click on it --> Take off. If you can't correct the issue, make an avatar test under Menu Develop (Ctrl+Alt+Q) --> Avatar --> Character tests --> Test Male / Female. This way you will remove everything can cause the issue. If it works, you will see your avatar like a noob but after you can change again outfit. Good luck.
  12. Just visited the region, understood what you mean. I have no idea what is wrong. Maybe someone else has a better answer.
  13. Hello soRAWR and welcome to SL Forums. If you have problem and you can't access or delete items from your shopping cart, you have to submit a ticket --> Marketplace --> General Marketplace issues. Report the problem there, the error message you get, include a pic which shows the items in your cart, and wait for a reply.
  14. Hello Vesper. It is a known issue last 2 weeks which affects several residents. 15. Hello Camaban. I would suggest you or Bad@zz or Bohemian Style.
  16. Hello Marjorie and welcome to SL Forums. There are 2 main causes you get this error message. Maybe: 1)It is relative with a temporal problem on the region you are trying to log in. If so, is possible to fix the problem if you log in a different region. Try to log in a protected land like Smith, Exeuxoa or Anzere and see if that helps. If you use the official viewer and you can't select a different region, in your log in screen give the command: Menu Me --> Preferences --> General Tab --> Enable "Show on login" --> OK. After click the down arrow where it says "Start at" and choose <Type region name> --> Smith --> Login. 2)It is relative with invalid characters in your group tag. If so, you will fix the problem if you remove or change it. If you remember which group tag you wear, log in with an alt (alternative / another account), find the owner or a manager of the group, explain who you are and ask them to eject you of the group. If you are the group owner, again log in with an alt and change the group tag. If it is no possible, tell your friends to delete the group. When they all leave, your groups in 48 hours will stop to exist, so you will fix your problem. In any case if you are a premium and you can't find a solution, you can submit a ticket https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ --> Account issue --> Second Life Web Login Issues. Report there the problem analytically and wait for a reply. Good luck.
  17. Hello FieryRedSunrise and welcome to SL Forums. Two cases: Your system can't handle the application. It would be helpful to post here your system's specs for a better and more sperific answer. You can edit your post (options on the right --> edit to add more details. You can see the requirements for SL here. However they look out of date we could say. A firewall or anti-virus blocks the program and doesn't allow it to run. For more details please check out the following link: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Using-Second-Life-with-a-firewall/ta-p/1304539
  18. Hello Wasp. Is the problem general for all the residents? Did you contact someone else who lives there? What about the estate owner? Also do you have a question? If so, we will be glad to help. On the other side, if you are in mood for discussion, it would be better to post it under general discussion category in SL Forums.
  19. Hello to all. I prefer to buy complete outfits but when i find something isolated i like, i purchase and i try to combine it with my other clothes. The clothes i wear and generally my look depends of my mood. Sometimes is very simple some other times not at all. I consider that we have tones of options / variety on Marketplace for all tastes. Noone can complain really.
  20. Hello blueeyedcowgirl. It happens, unfortunately. Now you have 2 options: Contact the merchant. Good luck.
  21. Hello Kenzel and welcome to SL Forums. If you want to send L$ to another resident you have to be online in world. You can't do that from your dashboard. On the other side the resident who recieves the L$ can be offline. He/She will get them when relog.
  22. Hello Calon. Maybe your stuff is into "Lost and Found" folder as coalesced object(s). Here is a pic how they look. For more details please check out the following links : http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/How_to_retrieve_coalesced_items http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Building-tips/ta-p/700041 Good luck.
  23. This thread continued here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Shopping/How-do-II-list-again-items-removed-from-my-listings/qaq-p/1398155
  24. @ valerie: The answer i gave on the previous thread is reported officially in Knowledge Base. Maybe you have to read the relative pages about Marketplace Listing Guidelines again. This post in order to avoid any misinterpretation and misunderstanding. Thanks.
  25. Hello Addison and welcome to SL Forums. As already mentioned none of the graphics cards will offer you the performance you desire in SL. AMD sounds like a better option although sometimes in past residents reported serious problems here with amd 6630M. You can google if you wish for "second life 6630M" to have a look. If you want to purchase a laptop for general use and just to cover some of your real time, go ahead. If you need a laptop exclusively for SL i think is better to choose something else with a better graphics card and also to prefer a PC instead. If you want a laptop a Nvidia GT 500 series (525M for example) sounds like a reliable and same time economical solution).
