  1. The last time we migrated from SLEX to the current Marketplace, there had been talk of allowing authorized individuals to assist with listings. I am wondering if this new VMM system could allow for such a thing, it would be vastly helpful to many to be able to have help with the mind numbing job ot listing writing!
  2. My appologies, I mispoke. I have Charter and they do not provide routers, only modems.
  3. So far things are rezzing, however I am still having the TP/crash issue. Well, seems one problem is down..ony a half dozen more to solve. :matte-motes-big-grin-wink:
  4. Ok, so here is the problem then. Two weeks ago (after the new router, so not a router problem), everything was rezing fine, teleporting fine, working just peachy. Ran on ultra graphics, no issues, Then on June 1st (might have been 2nd) I had a problem with a coalesced object not wanting to rez and a CSR had me tp to their special sim to try. I could not get it to rez and he asked me to dl and use the SLViewer. I did and still it did not rez. Forward a few days and I start having mad issues, as I have explained. It was a sudden thing, with no changes to Firestorm, my computer or otherwise. 1) I have dont roughly 6 clean installs of both Firestorm and SLViewer with those issues still cropping up. 2) I tried updating my graphics driver, no luck. 3) I tried a rollback on my computer - no dice there either. 4) I have logged into every suggested sim to force my inventory and avatar to load...again, not working. 5) I tried doing a port forwarding and opening up the ports for LL (using the LL guide) and nada. 6) I reformatted my computer, new partitions and all, and again still a problem on the latest viewers. I have used the "Get HTTP textures" since it came out and have never had an issue and the mesh boost, I only have had to use a few times on big meshy sims. My sister also has no problems, and we are off the same router, so that kind of rules that out too. The only thing that has worked, is going back to an older version of Firestorm and SLViewer. No lag, no issues with graphics, no problems. This tells me that there is something deeply and instrinsicly wrong with the last releases coding to the point that it destroys my ability to play at all. Now turning off the Get HTTP Textures is working THUS far, but I am not going to hold my breath. Thank you for the help. Lets keep fingers crossed and such.
  5. What a sorted tale this has ended up being! Ok, so after going through all of the clean installs, trying various viewers and the drastic measure of completely redoing my computer (including formatting drives), I finally (and regrettably too late) figured out what the problem is. The new firestorm and latest SLviewer are both enabled for the server side baking. Unfortunately, like times before, these changes seem to conflict heavily with NVidia graphics cards. There are several mentions of what I am experiencing on both the SL Jira and Firestorm Jira site and from some that posted, they have NVidia cards. After I had spent the vast majority of the day fighting with my computer, partitions, formatting, contacting Microsnot for my activation code (twice) and then to have to have them unlock it. I reinstalling my trusted and always used programs and finally both SLviewer and Firestorm to have BOTH fail, I was lost and about ready to chuck it all out of the window (no pun intended). By fail, I mean that both has major problems rendering mesh, both worn and on land, crashing on TP, crashing for no reason at all, lost friends list, etc..ad nauseum. So as I sat here, in despair, it dawned on me that when I logged my avi on with my sister's computer (which is nearly the same build as mine) I had none of these issues (which ruled out modem/router issues). Mind you, this was at about 10pm and I had been at this since about 9am this morning. So I got my happy rear up, went to her computer and logged in. It was there..at the login screen, that I noticed she had NOT updated her Firestorm...it was an older version of firestorm. I was elated! Quick dash to my computer, clean install of the previous version of Firestorm..and voila! It works like a dream, not a single glitch, teleports are smooth and working, My naughty bits were once again covered and I had hair. I popped all over SL to test the TPing, even hitting some of the heavy traffic places just incase and no problems at all. So, it is finally fixed, however it makes me wonder if LL is really aware of this issue before they fully pop out server side baking. If this truly is a problem for Nvidia cards...you are going to have at least half of the grid in fits over it. I know that when this happened before (Nvida cards not being compatible) that there was quite an exodus of people because the issue was not addressed and there was no work around (at that time anyway). Thank you all for trying to help me and giving me such sage advice, I do appreciate it.
  6. Ok, so I did as suggested and went a step further. I did a complete reinstall of windows and formated my HD. Unfortunatly..this is not fixing the bulk of the problem. I still can not see mesh, worn or otherwise and a week or so ago this was not a problem at all. I am at my wits end here! Above is how I see things, the highlighted stuff is - a beanbag chair, 2 huds I am building and 2 bathing suits.
  7. Hmm, just had a thought. I wonder if it is my router. If it is, then if I set it up in the virtual servers (router firewall) for access, should solve the problem. However, I can only find the outbound ports and there does not seem to be a setting on my router for that. Any suggestions?
  8. I had to buy a new one, I went from netgear to belkin. Was fine at first, but not so sure now. I will look into that too. I am currently running a virus scan to make sure that is not the culprit. I realllllly don't want to have to redo my computer!
  9. No, I havent. My fear in doing that, is that the last time I did that it messed up my computer and the drivers to the point of having to do a total reinstall and I lost so much work. I don't think that would be the problem though. The only thing I have installed on my computer in the past two weeks is when I had one of the LL CSRs TP me to their land (Unpackistan) to try to get a coelesced object to rez (and we couldn't, he couldnt even when I handed it to him) and he had me install the SL viewer. It was after that when things got all messed up.
  10. Nope, because the other computer uses the same router and is nearly an identical set up to mine.
  11. I tried on the other computer, and the avi seems fine there. However, this is not a consistant thing, one time I will log in and its fine, the next it is going crazy. The modem was actually locked this morning and comcast had to do their magic and fix it. And my computer is not even a year old yet (I build it) and I monitor it all the time. No overheating, nothing to otherwise indicate a problem. Other programs run just fine (Sims 3, WoW, blender, etc). This is only an SL problem. I am doing a full virus scan now, just incase that is the issue, but I doubt that is the problem. This is reaaaly a pain in my ...ya know Thanks though, if you have any other thoughts, would love to hear em.
  12. Now, I know many of you will immediately tell me to contact LL support about this, but let me assure you that I already have and to no avail. I am trying to find out if others are having similar problems or perhaps have fixes that I have yet to find. This all began about a week ago and occurs on both the SL Viewer and Firestorm. Also note, that I have done a complete clean install of them both (and did a registry clean too). Problems Avatar often will not load completely, mesh clothing not seen as well as anything mesh in the immediate area. I have turned graphics down, updated my graphics driver, used the debug settings (MeshMaxConcurrentRequests: 100), turned up LOD to 4, I have also tried texture refresh, rebaking and using good ol'Ruth. Additionally, I have cleared cache a million or so times, dumped over 10k from my inventory, relogged a TON on Lime and Pooley.Mesh disappears right in front of me, randomly. Same as above, but also including adjusting draw distance and fussing with the bandwidth.Tp Failures. I can teleport once without problem, after that any further teleports make me log out. I don't know what can be done about this. It does not matter what sim I am on though, so it is not sim specific and I did reset the sim I manage/live on. Unable to set items on sims, this is not sim specific. This is not consistent, sometimes I can, sometimes I can't. I am not setting items on other prims or mesh, but right on the ground. Also, often if I set mesh down I can not see it. Others can, but I can not. Friends list not loading. This is happening roughly every third time I log in. The response I got from LL was to do most of the above, which I have (I did a clean install twice now). There has been no resolution for this and it is making it impossible for me to get anything done in SL at all. I forgot to mention, but occasionally I simply get booted off, literally just standing there, not touching something, not looking in the inventory, just BOOM...gone. I am running - Windows 8 (for over a year now, I beta tested) CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz (3292.52 MHz) Memory: 16347 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows 8 64-bit (Build 9200) Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 570/PCIe/SSE2 If you have any ideas on what I can do about this, I would very greatly appreciate it. And please, if you are going to troll or be a jerk, save it, I have the temper of pissed off bee with pooh's hand in the pot. Thank you in advance - Zarolin Milev
  13. I have a group of objects in my inventory that I am trying to set down. I had set them out a few days ago without a problem. However, when I try now they simply pop back into my inventory with no warnings in local. There are plenty of prims available on my sim, and I have tried going to a sandbox to test. Any suggestions?
