  1. ...a rather presumptuous statement. I strongly suspect the real, sharp cards will consequently mark that as a place not to hang out! As for the OP. Why don'tcha get inworld and explore yerself? Asking this forum as to the current state of affairs, when a large proportion of them spend more time posting here than they do inword? Hmmm. Trust in thy own judgement or join the lemmings. :catindifferent:
  2. The vailidity of these various machine games in SL is dubious...putting it mildly. They are, of course, gambling games that rely primarily on chance. No ifs. No buts. The so-called 'skill-factor' that allows them on the grid is,frankly, laughable. The question all of us should be asking is this. How is some creators are effectively allowed to proft via gambling - which is what these machines are - and others are not? The whole thing is very murky, in my opinion. Perhaps it is something the Alphaville Herald could look into?
  3. Your videos on that website never ever run for me. Please just post a youtube clip like everyone else does. I'd like to see your vids, but again this one didn't run on that telly whatever website.
  4. I recall the days, with no small amount of whimsy, when the whole of idea of SL was SL...remember that?....thequaint, unique inworld virtual world? Yet, here you are..slapping yourself on the back for posting 1000 posts - count 'em - on a .......forum. A forum about....SL. Can you kinda see my point here? (Probably not, as you are the sort of person who is gaping in admiration at the coach, whilst being oblivious to the beautiful horses and wheels.) Get back inworld! People, and I refer to the sad specimens who have posted in their thousands, clearlry have lost the plot here!!!!
  5. Do you ever review what you have written in a reply and think to yourself..." I really need to stop joining in the 'playground-bully-LL-are wonderful" gang that attacks this particular person, tirelessly, and try and be more mature and not seek the approval of the clique, and instead concentrate on the OP's theme"?
  6. Yes, yes, yes! I thought it wuz just me and my habit of using about 3 or 4 diff viewers depending on what I am doing. However, the infuriating group message with attachments failure has increased alarmingly, so great post! I have missed lots of group gifts as a consequence. What is not so great is LL's lax and askew attitude to broken things and shiny new things. Still, nothing new there.
  7. Gee -have a problem with someone having an opinion different to your own? I have news for you. Your idea of a 'vendetta' is their 'opinion'. It may be hard for you to accept, but they have every right to post that opinion. I know it must be terrifying, but other residents do not behold LL on the lofty pedestal you do. Accept this, and your forum experience will be easier.
  8. ...all residents are equal under LL Tos...but some creators of virtual fruit machines , sorry.... I mean residents, are more equal than others. The whole inworld gambling situation is a farce, imo, and it is a foolish resident who plays these amusingly titled 'games of skill'.
  9. It has taken you all of 8 and a half years to come to the conclusion LL does not hold the customer in high regard?? The signs were there, crystal clear, long before these last 12 months, imo.
  10. I get the above error when trying to read profiles in v3. This is especially annoting because - much to my surprise - v3 is actually fast and good to use.......... but is spoilt by truly abysmal search and not being able to read profiles!! come on Lindens....you almost have a good viewer. Fix it so search works as good as it does in TPV's and profiles can be read without waiting an age for the error message in my header.
  11. Wow. Thanks everyone for such good help. I feel a tad foolish, as it was - indeed - the 'avatar in mouselook' button in V3's prefs, which I am still getting used to, but I panicked and thought I maybes had something set wrong for the camera settings, but all ends well and I am actuallt overall impressed by LL's V3, a HUGE advance over V2.....chat is poor, but the viewer itself is slick and fast for me and now I can see mesh! yay!
  12. Hi, just noticde trying LL's viewer 3 out, that in mouselook my rifle-type weapons show and block what I am shooting at! This doesn't happen in any of the TPV's I use. How do I adjust this? Thanks, Hoshi
  13. I do believe Pixeleen Mistral from the Alphaville Herald refers to you in the latest article there - with astonishing accuracy, in my opinion - as a 'toxic troll', n'est pas? and yes...it seems the Lindens DO love you...some would say suspiciously so. Myself, I could not comment. But any forum viewers (bar the usual apolgists/shills with their rather sad posts numbering in the thousands, and who also seem to think you a bit of a card) may find the interview you did with Pixeleen interesting, and possibly even revealing. They may also care to read a couple of other articles your seemingly unlimited need for attention features prominently therein. Of additional interest are your replies to the comments made at the Herald articles.....again, most interestingly...you do not talk like a child of 10, as you do here, but speak, instead, with the confident authority of a awkward teen. Frankly, how you have not been banned from SL, I - and I dare say a fair few others with half a brain - also find very interesting.
  14. High School of the Dead is one of my choices, and there used to be a HOTD sim in SL; it is still there but is now a post apoc zombie rp sim, but still based on a Japanese city overrun by zombies. My fave so far, though, is Black Rock Shooter. The avatar of BRS is available inworld and on marketplace.
  15. As Marigold says, there are a fair few shops to check out...but.....the Shaft movie with Samuel Jackson was most def not '70's style, but a contemporary version of the original film which I think was Richard Rowntree, though I am sure I may be corrected possibly on this. The Shaft version you mention appears to me more 'The Matrix' look than '70's retro fashion?
