I'm a bit confused here. Are you just looking for a free house or are you looking for a free house with free land? I know of several landlords that offer free housing if you rent land from them but I don't know of anyone offering free house with free land even groups that claim to offer such things typically require some sort of monetary payment. As someone else said land in sl costs money to those who own it as land takes up valuable server space which is really what you're paying for when you purchase land in a virtual world.

I own a few full region sims and well if you see my signature in this post then you can pretty much guess what most of it is for. I use most of the land I own to run a small estate business in SL. I really do it for the pure enjoyment of it and the great opportunity it gives me to interact with people from all different backgrounds and cultures. I'm different then most though because I don't view my renter's as just customers/tenants I view them as friends with almost all of them listed in my friends list and many I speak with daily.

Hi Eliza, If you rent land from a private landlord then you don't need a premium account so you save yourself the monthly premium account membership fees which at the very cheapest is $6.00/month and that's only if you are billed annually at $72.00 a year. Premium membership includes a free linden home but with that you are limited to the homes LL has available to pick from or if you don't want the free linden home you can purchase your own land elsewhere on mainland regions up to the first 512sqm 117prims parcel is free. There's advantages and disadvantages of both options. Some private rentals are actually cheaper on monthly tier then what you would pay to LL via premium membership costs and land use fees. My best advice to you is to do some research and look around for what best fits your needs. Also regarding another poster's comment about renting, to make sure that landlord has lots of properties isn't always a good thing just as is in rl more properties doesn't always equal better renter experience for tenants.

So please do tell us how you came up with your numbers and data as proof to backup your claims that half of SL is for sale.

We hear from a few people each month who have been scammed like this -- often non-native English speakers who are confused by the yellow box question -- and it's always painful. A 1 day turn around time for processing cash out transactions on the Linden Exchange is unheard of so unlikely that they are just 1 day accounts or that they can just vanish without LL being able to do anything. With that said the chances of LL actually doing something about the issue is slim to none unless the scammer has stolen from 1000's of other users whom also decided to report the issue.
