Maybe it's interpreted as "LOL" or "lol", which is not allowed. -
ISSUES WITH SECOND LIFE?? [[SOLVED]]
Tara Chester replied to Rippa Hugo's topic in General Discussion Forum
It looks like it's time to reinstall your SL viewer. Make sure you have enough free space on your hard drive. -
Isn't the system shabby at the moment ?
Tara Chester replied to Maelstrom Janus's topic in General Discussion Forum
Yes, it's shabby. Greece and Italy have serious problems and USA financial... Oh, you mean SL? No, the system is just fine. -
I'm guessing here... You need to download, install the viewer and log into SL with your account name (waryer Resident) and password. Here is the link: Official Second Life Viewer

What are LL plans for the future
Tara Chester replied to greek Wingtips's topic in General Discussion Forum
Another "end of the world" thread, avis are dying all over the place, eh? Speaking as a merchant, this October was my best month ever. Enjoy! -
Differnce between a skybox, and a regular house?
Tara Chester replied to AstralBody's topic in General Discussion Forum
There is no difference. Except some skyboxes are exactly that, boxes, closed for outside viewing and meant to be rezzed in the sky for more privacy. -
You're panicking. No such thing is going to happen. Enjoy!

Instead of worrying about all this upfront, it's much better to try to be creative and make your original stuff, and worry about it being similar, a copy, or inspired by somebody else's work later.

I've never had any problems with LindeX, because I use Opera.

Actually, this is a positive thread ...
Tara Chester replied to Dazler's topic in General Discussion Forum
There is so many different, cool and new things, people and places in SL, that I won't even try to list them here. Whether you consider it a game, a world, a network, whatever, I wholeheartedly recommend everyone who comes here to be open, and to invest as much time, money and energy of their RL as they can, for as long as they wish. The only problem you can have is that freedom and openess. It's up to you, nobody can tell you what your interests are, or what criteria you should have about something. Once you overcome that, and accept the "responsibility" of that freedom, you're in. Enjoy! -
What is it with you people, you belive in magical power of words or something? You think if you do your mantra long enough, your wishes will come true? If you don't like it, leave, nobody's stopping you. Then again, you are right. Eventually, we'll all go under... but that is trivial, even for a forum post lol

Why don't LL advertise Second life?
Tara Chester replied to suki Actor's topic in General Discussion Forum
The only "advertisments" I saw for SL were in 2 movies (RU There and Hot Tub Timemachine) and 2 documentaries (something on Oprah channel and HBO I think). What was LL's involvment, and were there any positive or negative effects from all this, that I wouldn't know. Oh, there is one more place. Somewhere on Nvidia's site, they are using SL as a demonstration of how supreme is the new version of a driver for some graphics card, how in-world looks much better. -
So, as far as i can see, the script I'm using to turn on/off any kind of script in the same prim, can't be modified to work for linksets. Does anybody have an idea how the viewer is doing all that (including removing, counting...)?

geez, you just don't wanna let it go... ok, i think we all know about his "famous philosophical" Stanford speech, where he was talking about death as part of life, and perhaps the greatest inventions of life.. old things get replaced with new, opening way to fresh ideas, bla bla... my joke (not very original and funny, i might add) was reffering to that, something in the lines of: Jobs, Life, whomever, has came up with iDead, so Apple can have a brigh future. Speaking or tasteless, there is a sentence in that speach, when he was speaking to LIVE students, how one day they will also die and be repaced with fresh human beings...

yeah, right... get a sense of humor, will you. jobs would've loved it
