  1. I've not read this thread messages for a long time, RL issues that also don't allow me to connect to Second Life very often. It's sad and heartbreaking to see how some people post very negative messages, talking bad or attacking other players instead of talking of the LH and having fun sharing their home/s with others. Having one or ten premium alts doesn't guarantee you absolutely anything, you only need to request your LH at the right time. To all those people who feel frustrated I can only tell you: keep trying and don't lose hope. It's not worth getting angry or envying others for their LH, believe me. I spent weeks getting and releasing homes, it was like an exploration process for knowing the different LH. Finally I focused on my favourite style, the Victorian. I tried for weeks and one day when I wasn't expecting to get anything interesting, got one at Neville, this exactly: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Neville/177/136/32. I've been in the same home more than six months and I think I'll only release it if I can't renew my annual Premium. Be patient, and what you are looking for will come
  2. Hey Atina0, what happened with your Vic at Neville? I can't believe you abandoned that, it was awesome... really did it? 🤔 I was your neighbor, right next door
  3. That's a great location, Atina0, we're neighbours http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Neville/177/140/32 Neville is awesome, I remember that only one of the nine Victorians there had an owner when I got mine. In a few minutes Linden delivered the rest of the homes, it was fun to see people appear suddenly and run around the street looking at what they got. With the exception of the previous owner of your current home, they have the same residents, what we might call a real neighborhood. The views are incredible if you derezz some of the bushes, I set "The Doyle" home, and it's nice. Call my door if you need anything
  4. Wow that's amazing views... Houseboats are not my favourite Linden homes, I tried a few before get my current Victorian, and also found those that are very close and there was a lot of lag orbiting the camera. But yours seems to be in a great location for live and share with your friends, contrats
  5. Nice one, I would like one like that but in Victorian A Victorian on the shoreline would be the only one that would make me leave my current one in: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Neville/178/136/32
  6. At least they could put some decoration, I don't know, maybe some fishes...
  7. there are other boat house locations that are beautiful and have good views, even can navigate. But that seems like they are too close together, privacy is zero
  8. Happy New Year everybody My game of homes is over, I think I had a good prize with my current Linden at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Neville/177/136/32 Could only let this go if I got another Victorian on the beach shoreline, I'm more comfortable on sand than grass. Maybe one day Linden will allow the owners to exchange their homes with ohters, who knows Good luck
  9. … when my anual premium expires, in Dec 2020 hahaha
  10. As I miss throwing the dices and get terribly bored, I've decided to abandon my current Victorian in http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Neville/179/137/32
  11. You'll find information about get Linden homes, but the only sure thing is that you will need a bit of luck for get the home / location you like. If you don't use premium alts, you will have five "dice rolls" every 24 hours. With patience and time you end up getting something nice, don't be discouraged
  12. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Neville/179/137/32 It would be great, sure. But that's how things are, a lottery and sometimes even having great prizes, we're not satisfied at all. I was very lucky with that home, because it got it when I didn't expect. If you get something very good, keep it
  13. If you already like your current home, I think you should keep it because there is no guarantee that you will get a better one in a short time, or maybe yes. The only 100% sure is that you will lose this one, and maybe you could regret it Sometimes I've been tempted to leave my current Victorian at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Neville/179/137/32. Although it's a very special place, I personally like those on the seashore, I know there will be any abandoned from someone who likes grass more than the coast, but who knows how long I'll have to try and wait.
  14. 100% agree with you. it's also grotesque, I don't understand anything. Traditionals and Victorian homes are nice by themselves, with up to four different models to choose from, depending if we like to have more or less living space. That's a crime for the eyes...
  15. I'm glad for you, my own experience with AR's isn't good. When I was premium a long time ago I owned a nice mainland plot with protected ocean views, and a neighbor filled his property of crap right next to my land. I sent several AR'ss, with their corresponding photos ... and never received an answer, so I had to sell the land.
  16. Hopefully not, but if the use of Linden homes addons like those becomes generalized, Linden should create a specific AR for report this. It's clearly offensive and ruins people experience. I tremble just thinking that someone could use those kind of addons next to my home, without doubt I would be forced to leave my lovely home at Neville.
  17. After seeing your published pics, seems that some Lindens homes have the same problems as other normal mainlands plots. It's a shame, an aesthetic aberration, that ruins the visual experience of the closer neighbors. I also think that it could be a violation of the Linden Homes TOS, they use elements that clearly damage the place and views. Unfortunately, AR's for this kind of things take a long time to resolve. P.D. I've voluntarily ignored commenting on that Traditional home addon, because I could use too many offensive adjectives, it's insane.
  18. Oh My God, that sucks, because the land looks nice, but that ugly montain It's quite disturbing, and as you said, that can't be unrezzed / derendered. I think that the owner should send a support ticket, it may be a mistake in land terraforming.
  19. I agree with you that at this time the moles did a great job with the homes, very decent quality, and really beautiful environments and landscaping. And certainly, in any way each plot is unique being a part of the same continent, there is more plots variety, and in what surrounds our houses, because now they really look like homes. And of course yes, one day you'll find your ideal home and decide not to roll the dices anymore. I got mine at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Neville/177/136/32 without expecting it. I recently changed the home model to "The Doyle", highly recommended if you don't need too much space, so you have prims to decorate the exterior. P.D. This thread should change its name to "show your Linden home"
  20. Congrats. Zoya, a nice location, looks like mine in Neville but with a Traditional home instead of a Victorian
  21. Well… if you remove that "h".... it could be smelly yes
  22. OMG, I found a Linden homes sim called "New Farthing"... Does those homes equipment include a gas mask?
  23. I guess that with the high demand for Victorians homes, there could be a significant amount of Traditional abandoned even on the beachfront, and it will be "easy" to get them. Traditionals aren't bad homes, but in my opinion they're too close each other, I like the privacy and the landscape of the Victorians sims, I wouldn't want to offend anyone but I think those sims are much better designed and built. And about the decoration, it's true that there are many Linden homes with owners but completely empty. I'm that type of person who can spend 2 hours decorating mine, and the next day delete everything to decorate again http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Neville/178/135/32
  24. I think everyone here has their own theory, or hypothesis, about the way of how Linden delivers the homes, but the truth is that only they will know exactly the process. In my previous experience to get my current home at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Neville/176/136/32, I draw the conclusion that it is a random and quite chaotic process, there is no special situation, place or time to get good or bad homes. Although I have seen dozens of new homes not yet delivered, you receive them anywhere. I guess that their system will handle a combination of newly created homes with other abandoned, so you can really get any of them, even if you have only one account or ten alts. Although obviously the odds of getting a "Good home" increases playing with more alts. Therefore I don't think there are strategies or tricks, it's simply a matter of luck. I've abandoned between 10 and 15 homes, all nice but inlands with no views, before get mine of Neville.
