  1. Nope, that does not excuse the accusation she made.
  2. My father most certainly was not abusive, and I'm appalled that you would make such a diagnosis based on so little information. That is way, way out of line, Luna.
  3. It's a phrase my father has always taught me "That's not a problem. Cancer is a problem". It means what I said it means: keep a sense of proportion about perceived problems. You can read it how you wish, of course. I know that I am not demeaning anyone, and I stand by what I said.
  4. And your use of the word "desperately" is exactly what I am talking about when I suggest that perhaps a sense of proportion is needed.
  5. How about you stop dismissing what I say just because I have a home. Kthxbye.
  6. I don't think that encouraging a sense of proportion is "shutting down" anyone. I'm saying that people are not doing themselves any favors getting so overwrought over things that are, in reality, probably not worthy of so much emotion. I think the phrase is "making mountains out of mole hills", which is amusing, considering what we are discussing.
  7. Sure, and when they run into something that causes them unbearable frustration here, why keep hammering away at it? How does that help one deal with RL problems? My point is that it would really be wise for people to keep some sense of perspective and not cause themselves undue stress by something so relatively small in the big scheme of things. (And I make my point without use of ALL CAPS, to boot! )
  8. The process doesn't matter anyway, when you have people who complain endlessly that they don't have a new home, then they get a new home (funny how that happens when the person has sworn that it NEVER will), then they complain because they don't like the location of their new home... it never ends. People like to complain, and they will always find something to complain about, whether or not it really is a problem. Cancer is a problem. Poverty where you can't even afford electricity or a computer or Internet to play SL... that is a problem. Not having a pixel house is not a problem, but people will give themselves ulcers over how unfair life is because they do not have one. And sure, go ahead and dismiss the opinions of the folks who do have a pixel houses. It doesn't make what they say any less true.
  9. I hope that the folks who want the moles to just copy and paste regions will take a careful look at these new regions and see why they will be worth the wait. These individually designed neighborhoods just keep getting more and more beautiful.
  10. I think there's only one that might slip through: *****. Which isn't a cuss word so SHOULD be OK. *hits ENTER to see* ETA: LOL I want to cuss now but THAT will get bleeped too!
  11. Calleta. And I love the train idea. My favorite mainland parcel that I own is near a railroad track.
  12. Unfortunately, everyone complained about waiting for larger releases, so the method was changed to smaller releases, more often. People are still complaining, so apparently it doesn't matter what method is used, there will be complaints. That being the case, why should LL waste time and resources continuing to change it up, when people will be unhappy no matter what they do? I don't see them making a drastic change at this point. They are just going to devote the time to building houses, which is the BEST way to get people into homes.
  13. It's OK, Maddy would be disappointed if she didn't earn a look of disapproval.
  14. I can't resist, I have to try one of my faves: knobhead. ETA: Yay!
  15. I have this one (a lot of people do). Editable so you can decorate it how you like, and free! https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/HVW-Lamis-and-Ivys-Houseboat/15482258
  16. I second this. Lil is extremely patient and helpful.
  17. I like that idea. I'm not a fan of skyboxes myself, but it would be cool to have the option to turn my parcel into something interesting. Maybe instead of a houseboat, some nice underwater scene. I always love the underwater stuff the moles make.
  18. No one is obligated to decorate their home; however, there may be many reasons why a house is not furnished. The most obvious reason is that the resident has put up a skybox and is living in that. Others may just use their homes to unpack boxes or change outfits in. Still others might not have time to decorate at this moment due to other things demanding their time. There is no way to know, but luckily, there is no rule that houses be furnished so there is also no pressure to do so.
  19. Have you donated any of your land allowance to a group? If so, then you won't have enough left to claim a house. Your entire 1024 must be free for use before you can claim a Linden home. If you have not donated and do not own any land, you'll need to contact Support.
  20. I'm not sure I'd look to Bay City as an example, since there is no covenant and therefore no prohibition against commercial activity on any of the parcels there. At any rate, hopefully there will be official clarification before the next big event, so that everyone is on the same page.
  21. And a little ink pad so visitors can leave a paw print.
  22. They actually are skins, but for the head only. It's confusing because they refer to makeup in the ads, but what is meant by (for example) "Hannah Makeup 1" and "Hannah Makeup 2" is it's the Hannah skin available in two different makeup options (which is the skin with makeup already applied to it). Hope I didn't just make it more confusing. lol
