I was just at the airstrip and there were about 10 people there roleplaying a scene in voice and it was awesome! I didn't snap a pic because I didn't want to be all stalkery. 😁

I'd love a city center. This is such an opportunity to make SL about community again. I've already made new friends while out exploring, and I don't even have a home there yet! I was talking with a friend and we both feel like this is making us excited about SL again. 😍 Once the houses are complete, I hope it continues to evolve.

I thought of a fun idea this morning! I was thinking, hey I'd love to have a pool party! But what would make it really fun would be if we could buy day passes to the parcel and then have rights to rezz things (w/in prim limits of course) and to change the music station. @Patch Linden Is that totally out of the realm of reality? Think of it! We could do block parties, beach parties etc! Just a thought, I am a dreamer, after all. 😊

I've been just wandering around and I came across some sea lions on Yuge. They're cute and make noises too!

A drive-in theater? Some other types of community entertainment areas (forgive the chemo brain, I can't think of any others right now lol)? I'm really enjoying seeing the focus on community again. I've bounced around to several of the pools and beaches and they look great! I can't wait to get my home and start meeting people.

Thanks for your reply! I did read that earlier so I guess if someone can't run advanced lighting they can't see the glass properly then? My concern is if i put a product out using this method, I will get im's from angry customers who can't see it properly. Perphaps making a more detailed texture with some highlights painted in and applying it to a duplicate item to be used if you can't use advanced lighting would suffice for those customers.

Let me preface this by saying I have only taken a beginning course in modelling for Maya which was geared more towards the film industry and we barely touched on textures. My question is: Let's say I have a glass bottle I modelled in Maya. It currently has the lambert shader on it. How do you go about texturing it to look like glass so that it can be imported into SL? I've found a million tutorials on glass for rendering within Maya, but none for our purposes here in SL. Help please! I'll bake you cookies! :matte-motes-kiss:

I thought I would tap into our vast knowledge base here and see if anyone knows how to create an aggregated blog feed. Ideally I would like to create a feed that can target keywords in posts so it just pulls the posts that relate to that keyword. If that is impossible (or too complicated for my simple brain...lol) just a regular feed where i can add sites would be awesome. I have tried researching but all I can find is how to put a feed in the sidebar of a wordpress site or things that require me to know how to code.
