Honestly, and yes it pains me to say this...the best solution is simply digging in. If you're a sim owner, or an admin with estate rights, it's far easier to get rid of griefers than it is for them to create chaos. With a few clicks, I can estateban someone, return ALL their objects, and mute them. They then have to either already have an alt prepared to come back in (in which case....click click click...another problem eliminated), or they have to go through the hassle of creating one from scratch (again...click click click...bye bye.) There are a few measures you can take to alleviate this (but NOT eliminate)...age is one of them. Set the sim to only accept AVATAR ages of say, a week or two, or older. That will eliminate the spontaneous alts. You can also set access to only those with payment verification, or those who have been age verified. Keep in mind, this will restrict your traffic for the duration, but it will make it harder for griefers to appear than it is for you to boot them. It's a lot easier than debating to try to get LL to handle the problem for you. Honestly, they have enough to worry about, considering the tools already in place to deal with it. Just my two cents. :-)

Based upon some rudimentary testing I did with my avatar (stopwatch and a prim ruler), I was running approximately 10m in approximately 2 seconds. So around 5 m/sec for running, a little less than twice walking speed.
