Though given that the Linden description of the 60s doesn't mention things people usually associate with 60s design (like minidresses and psychedelic colours), maybe the tagged stuff is what they wanted. Who knows. I've just tagged anything rainbow coloured. Rainbows and Paisley here;)

Mesh: Love, Hate, or Don't Care?
Argus Collingwood replied to Pamela Galli's topic in General Discussion Forum
Do not like venues and stores that have products buried within MESH displays.. I am not ready to use FS 24/7 and there are now places and stores I will not visit until I go FS all the way. [not to mention the clothes where the person wearing them does not use the alphas and I see boobies ] -
LL Removing listings due to their own bug induced error

Re-posting: This is sad. All the Birthday sims with awesome builds, live music and special events not happening? This is more than sad, this is LR/LL cloistering themselves in a Sterile Corporate Tower and further undermining any feeling of shared Community Spirit. LL Removing listings due to their own bug induced error

Beowulf Silverfall wrote: @ TammyTgurl UmagaNot really get the anger myself to be honest. I just point out the one thing that I had noticed was different on tow accounts I have. The one that was hacked used to be my main account. It is of course not anymore. As to why they hacked me, I used to be clubowner an had my paypal as payment on there, maybe that was the reason they hacked me, considering they made off with nearly 700 US $, real money the first time. As to the reason why they don't go for people with millions of lindens, well, since SL tracks randomly transactions over 100 US $, that would be difficult, cause it would be flagged. This is what someo @ all the other people assuming they know whats going on without the facts : I did not click on any phising link, I never even accept objects or notecards from people I do not know. I change my pasword about every month and make sure it's at least 10 digits ,numbers and letters. I've never given my password to anybody either, before some smartasses ask. Also for those that do wonder if it is my system and on what I work, well sorry to dissapoint, I'm using a mac, with the the Lion OS Version 10.7.3, updated and all nice. I have virus protection, firewall on the machine itself and another firewall on the router I use. I have no freeware except the SL viewer, all the software is nicely payed and licenced. I even use the build-in port scanner into mac just to make sure nothing fishy is going on. Cookies get deleted every time i close my internet browser and I don't accept third party cookies neither. My system is not set up to remember passwords either, before anyone claims so. I can nearly guarantee that there is no hack on my system, nor a keylogger, nor a trojan, nor a virus Also, some people shouldn't assume that others don't know what they're doing, or assume they go porn surfing, don't take your own habits for those of others. The only thing I can see that could be the cause of being hacked, are the client bridges, if this upsets people, well so be it, but the facts point that way. Ignore it if you want, but don't come crying later. Might want to check out this article about the recent Mac hacks. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-17700824 ETA http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5242

LL Removing listings due to their own bug induced error

Sassy Romano wrote: Unimpressed that LL are chosing to uphold product flagging where the listing is listed as "wrong image" caused by WEB-4587. LL this is YOUR induced error, it shouldn't come as a surprised but you're both responsible and accountable for this and the onus should be very firmly in your lap to fix it and not to remove the listing and shift the burden of fixing your screw ups onto the merchant! sigh. -
No payment when customers buy multiple items across stores

Two of them and when I click on the listings they both show as not available. In the listing edit it shows as 0 quantity. Yep, I'm confused. Because this is a shopping cart system, things in carts that have not fully checked out are still in the cart and assigned to that order. I know it can be an inventory nightmare but that is the way it works until "abandoned carts" routines are run as part of a maintanence that empties them and prolly re-indexes the data. [just guessing because that is how I once ran an e-commerce stite.] The really annoying part of this "issue" is that the standard distribution of Spree (the base system they built the Marketplace on top of) comes with a standard Stale Carts sweeper enabled. They had to go disable it (or it might be a system config option but...). I still fail to see WHY they would turn it off .. and leave it off. Like others on here, I've had purchases show up with dates several months old. It makes sense in some small way to leave items for a day or two but really ... months? It totally administers the coup de grace to anyone that would like to run limited time specials or promotions of any sort where the price is reduced for a short period of time. Deadlines create motivation to purchase now. It's a very old and well used marketing technique. (Just ask Vince with his "... cuz you know we can't do this all day" spiel.) It's another example of a tool that a merchant might find useful or beneficial being systematically removed or never supplied. As crazy as some of his theories sound sometimes, there are other times when Josh makes a lot of sense. If I could come up with a sensible reason why choices like this are made ... it sure would ease my mind. /me nods at Darrius ... atm lots of folks trying to activate their items to go DD are not even aware that "one of /no copy" items are not supported by DD. All the Breedable folks will need lots of land to open their "farms" [a nod at Josh] until SLM supports their products. ETA: From Spree http://guides.spreecommerce.com/inventory.html stock levels will of course change over time, and there is no locking of requested inventory to orders until the very last stage of checkout. If stock checking is enabled and insufficient stock is available at checkout, the shortfall is reported to the user (there is no compulsory back-ordering). -

Chrissy Ambrose wrote: The Items are copies of my own products, and on buying them they had the creator as the seller not myself. There is no question the objects are mine, each prim has the same names as I used on the origonal. All textures are mine, I created them too. I dont give out copies of my textures , let alone give any item full perms. Same goes for several other creators who have been targetted by this seller, the products are all copies of their creations but now bearing the name of the copybot as the maker, the same name as the seller. We have collaborated to alert other creators to items of their design, and they have bought copies to compare and photograph with the origonals to file DMCA Claims. Shoes or Jewels? [curious here] and the names on the items are the same?

Sassy Romano wrote: I would expect we all have. One item I bought more recently was just several shades of tone off and very over exposed compared with the delivered product. The response I got was that it depended on my windlight settings. Except that my windlight settings are the default and viewing it at default windlight/midday was where it revealed that the picture was either exceedingly photoshopped or *their* windlight settings were so soft and light that it was a complete distortion. No apology, no offer of any compensation, nothing. There's no way it could have been made to look like the picture. As a merchant, I take my pictures using default windlight and midday. It might not be the most flattering but i'm making product shots, not artwork in that sense and i'm going to work with defaults, not some dreamy setting that nobody else uses. As a customer, the merchant I illustrate here has no more business of mine, that's the only option really, such is the amount of dysfunctional selling that goes on here. I am even more pedestrian and shoot at mid-day without any windlight. I do shoot high rez against a plain background I remove and the paste into a template I have that shows sides and the rear of the item. Most bad reviews I have are for non-delivery and I re-deliver in-world with an im asking if they got the item.[of course the majority of them never respond and do not know even how to change a review] The reviews of others items that I read that bug me most are for great items that have super pictures and the skirts are sculpts and of course will not flow/flex and the customers did not read the description and complain about it. Oh if only merchants got notified of reviews a lot of good merchant/customer relationships might be built.

Actually no they never got the item, never paid, never contacted us about this type of fail. No MB email, no Xaction, nothing.. In all my Cart order history I have only had 3 total Queued orders. but I am going to eat chocolate anyway;) Then our situations are different, Argus. In my case and many other Merchants, the product is delivered and paid for, but no funds come to the Merchant. Take a look at https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4596 It's happening to a lot of people. I am only citing "Queued" in my post and yes I totally understand about "Being Delivered" and the payment boggles. It's a mess and needs to be fixed asap. [voted on that JIRA already:)]

Darrius Gothly wrote: Arwen Serpente wrote: Bump. Keep this thread on top. Update on https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4596 Direct Delivery product purchase orders stuck in the Being Delivered State (Non Unicode products) Please take a look at what's happening on this JIRA - Please set it to "Watch" because the issue is growing and since it deals with the Financial transaction integrity of the MP, it is a serious issue to all of us. Edited to add: This is no longer just a Direct Delivery issue. The reports are also from Magic Box users. ~ Support is directing people to go to the JIRA to request payment for stuck orders (I've had some paid, others are sitting there unpaid). ~ There are now orders stuck "Queued" where Support tells the Merchant to contact the Buyer to file a Support Ticket (even though the Merchant has already filed a Support Ticket). ~ The "Delivery Partially Failed" Message is now (in some cases) being tied to delivery of product + refund for the Buyer (so, essentially the Buyer is getting the item for free). Support is directing the Merchant to contact the Buyer to request direct payment. I have one stuck in Queued, I filed a Support Ticket as instructed .. and got back this response: "I'm sorry that your customer did not receive their item from your establishment. I will be happy to assist you with this issue. Please have the customer submit a support ticket. Once they submit a support ticket, we can honor the request for you." To which I replied: "Your reply makes the assumption that this issue affects only the customer .. and that is not true. A "Queued" order is not delivered to the customer, but it also does not pay the Merchant, thus either one of us (Merchant or Customer) should be able to file a support ticket. In this particular case, because I speak with Brooke Linden routinely and am very familiar with the current problems on the SL Marketplace, I filed the ticket to help them identify orders that are failing with this symptom. Please forward the ticket to Brooke Linden and also Dakota Linden so that they may examine the order to help them fix the error, and then Dakota can push it through to completion. However, in the future, any time either the Merchant or the Customer files a support ticket for an order that is stuck at Queued, remember that the issue affects both and thus should be dealt with in the same fashion no matter who submits the ticket." I then forwarded the email to Brooke and got this response from her: "Thanks, Darrius. I've let the appropriate people know so we can improve this experience." Left hand, right hand ... not talking to each other? LOL When I get those orders I just throw it in a basket and deliver it to them as a gift. Saves trouble;)

Couldbe Yue wrote: If one of my (non ll) technical sources is to be believed, and he's only going on what he can see from the front end and the timing of the break, it's unfixable and only creating a new listing will fix it along with a bulk delete of the affected item range to get rid of those corrupted listings - and even then that may not work without some manual intervention to clean up after. Looks like the problem area has been located however I wonder if doing the DD update introduces new errors in the data range that is affected? Has anyone noticed that their store was fine, updated and then had broken items in it?
