  1. Thank you for your suggestion about flagging, forgot about that. I am pretty careful about buying from the original creators, this one completely threw me off mainly because of the high price - i usually see the rip-offs much cheaper. Anyway, thanks and hopefully someone will also be warned
  2. Just wondering, is anyone from LL monitoring the scamming on the mp or is it user policed? I bought something that was not as advertised, and left a bad review to warn others, but, apparently reviews are turned off (it doesn't show). I started digging around, and I see many, MANY copies of skins, etc not made by the original creator being sold at either very high prices or very low prices. It's a shame this is allowed to continue, and I'm out L $1500.
  3. Group chat IM's are still up to a full minute delay -- 5 months later
  4. Ok i will ask again since marking my question "Answered" makes it so i cannot reply in the original post: Anyone know what this is? No i dont have it group owned, no i dont need to wear a group tag, and it's my own free 512m parcel on mainland. It's getting annoying to have to re-log and find it in my Lost and Found Folder. And yes my hardwired internet is running well, minimal latency (55fps), everything is else is fine. Thanks for any suggestions. No, there are no encroaching objects from neighbors -- i am at 500m on a platform with abandoned land around me. thanks for any help :)

  6. Getting an error message "Can't rez object at { 146.015, 109.882, 498.375 } because the owner of this land does not allow it. Use the land tool to see land ownership" on my owned mainland. I temporarily (so far!) lose the object until i relog and it's in my Lost and Found Folder. Anyone know whats going on or how to fix it? - thx
  7. Maybe someone who actually works at LL would like to answer your question. lawls
  8. In the 9 days of September, this is the 5th Unscheduled Maintenance >.< Maybe they should consider regular routine weekly maintenance like other mmo companies do. Or how about add an EU server? (There's only 3 US ones btw - Magnum, Le Tigre and Blue Steel (VA, TX and AZ) Or maybe update the hardware on the servers for this SSA ?
  9. it's been done, awhile ago along with a lot of other people -- the mods are closing them as "duplicates" so the original is buried somewhere. Way to go LL.
  10. then just give us back the Z-offset ability ( I use Firestorm TPV) This hover bug has been reported numerous times since LL decided to implement it and it is still unresolved. What were the beta test results? I'm getting tired of having just my head stick out of the ground whenever i need to change my height. Thank you.

  12. thanks for replies not happening this time, but it just made me a little nervous
  13. Logging in the Secondlife website just now with security certificate errors = A website's certificate provides identification of the web server. If the certificate has an error, it might indicate that your connection has been intercepted or that the web server is misrepresenting its identity. No other websites are giving me this warning. Please fix SL, thank you.
  14. I googled the OP's question and found this from here http://kryptonradio.com/2012/09/24/linden-lab-leaving-second-life-behind-with-pattern/ about LL: "In recent weeks, third party observers have noted that Second Life, after peaking in 2010, has been slowly losing its edge. Users of the popular open-ended shared-experience 3D social and creative environment have lamented what seemed like bizarre customer service decisions, including: Abusive pricing for virtual real estate, and a dizzying bait-and-switch 66% increase on Homestead sim pricing Dramatic drop-off in in-game platform administrator activity and accessibility Dramatic drop-off in response to abuse reports filed by citizens Failure to maintain their previously aggressive zero-tolerance stance on griefing and the presence of cybergangs in-world Discontinuance of the discount offered to educational institutions A recent decision to remove the ability of the official Second Life client to connect to other grids, such as OSGrid, InWorldz, Avination or SpotOn3d Arbitrary changes to the third party viewer policy that make it extremely difficult to create and maintain interoperable viewers"
  15. Qie Niangoa: my apologies - as i stated a few posts down from my original, knowing now that the SL10b is resident produced and not by LL, it puts my feelings into a different, better perspective of the event. A friend of mine gave me an LM to Country Club where the arcade gacha sim is and i had a great time and i plan on visiting more. I still think that after 10 years of us, the residents, keeping LL in business, they could've had a hand in it a little more.
  16. financial and.......... the sexual reputation that is tagged with SL. As a gamer (wow, swtor, lol, tera, gw2 just to name a few), most other non-SL gamers that i know think this is an erotic rpg. Big RL companies won't be associated with that. I miss them, they had fun sims.
  17. Now that I know that SL10b is ran by the creators of SL, my expectations are more in-line to in-world creativity. I still think that after 10 years of hosting the grid, LL would let us not only see past and present, but maybe future as well.
  18. Well this explains everything: "The lab doesn't seek out participants for these events. The artists, merchants, creators, etc... seek out the lab." thanks for your intelligent response
  19. yea you can stop trolling. have an opinion on the subject instead, it makes you sound smarter
  20. Yes! thank you so much! Sorrow by Raw House and i have it
  21. Am i missing something? I'm walking around SL10b looking at showcases of residents art, and I don't see one thing that's NEW, or even amazing. I'm sorry but you'd think they would gather some of the best graphic designers in the industry (not just on SL) and have them create mesmerizing, inspiring work. I see the same old prims, sculpts, even mesh. sad. Also, the promo for this was disgraceful as well. Don't flame me please, it's just my opinion.
  22. So when you are on your account page and then click "Go to my Second life now" to reach your in game profile, you have your name on the upper right side? I don't. I have to hit the back button to get back to my account page from there.
