  3. Ok I saved it at 300 dpi and it helped. I also sharpened it. Thank you. I should know this after ten years! But I only worked with sculpt baby clothes and not mesh, and back in the day was an applier clothing maker. Again, thank you! Great groups here in SL.

  5. I'm guilty of using 1024 size textures for clothing because I can't get the print fabrics to look clear or pop. But, now I must save at 510 because the size is so small and it's mesh (mesh baby clothes); my question is, what is the magic setting to make the clothing pop at 510 on mesh in Photoshop? I use details like stitching, elements, but they fuzz out at 510. I've tried playing with every possible setting to reduce and save in Targa, PNG, Jpeg, with no good results. I have a tone of clothing made but there's no way I'm uploading these clothes if they don't look sharp. I've been searching all over Google but nothing really explains this issue, rather it declares the image will not degrade if saved as a TARGA. Wrong, they do! Help... I've been designing for 10 years and I've yet to figure this out! First one is 501, the second is 2014. I hope this sampling works! Thanks for any direction. I know there's tons written but I can't find it!
  6. Thank you for this thread. I too am experiencing that little clock spinney no response experience, and then the dreaded crash... for about 2 months. It seems to be worse when Windows is pushing out updates and if I don't turn off my computer, which I'm very bad about doing on any regular basis. If I reboot my system it will run better however it will take forever for Firestorm to boot. One of the reasons I don't turn off my computer is it takes 10 minutes for Firestorm to come up. I assumed that there were some other issues, as I had heard there been some hacking attempts, but again I don't know if that's true or it's just gossip. It does take me forever to Rez and I've been spending a lot more time in the Linden sandbox just so I can see where I'm going. I've been patiently waiting for an improvement and hadn't thought to look at my own computer as a problem, but after reading all of this I might take some time to run some testing. I'm hard-wired with cable. TX for suggestions.
  7. I own nearly every fat pack Blue puts out.. I remember the notice about free accounts. It seemed like a trial run perhaps they'll offer other designers the same chance if they're talented and successful. Nothing wrong with promoting the best of SL
  8. I am a merchant and what I find to be very difficult is price changing. For example, I would like to have a weekend sale, but to do that I have to go into each item and change the price. Just anything to control pricing on multiple items would be great. I would also like to have help available just for merchants. If we are contributing to the economy we should have specialised help. Time and time again I have not been helped in a satisfactory way. Some of the problems: Unreasonable unlisting. Unreasonable reviews. Products being unlisted without explanation. There isn't a help drop down menu for merchants. And the selections to help Merchants is zero. Any Improvement to help those who fuel the economy in Second Life would be seriously appreciated. My final suggestion would be to fix the search in Marketplace. This is a serious fail.

  10. I'm thankful for these responses. I still can't get in, even though yesterday I managed after several hours. But once I logged out, I was unable again. Honestly since 09 I've never had this kind of problem.
  11. All day I've had one issue after another. I suddenly couldn't log in. I eventually even reinstalled Firestorm. To no avail. I turned my computer off, back on, and I got in. BUT as soon as I logged out, the same behavior. Now I can't get in AT all. I rebooted. I tried resetting my router. I tried SL viewer. THEN I was unable to log onto their actual website! Why would I not be able to log into the website or the server??? There's nothing reported on their status page. I tried getting help (prem member). I finally after trying for hours got to their website. Nope, no one there to help in chat. No one answered my in live chat and NO one send me an email when I tried writing a ticket. I closed the ticket when I got in the one time, now I regret it because I can't get back. It took me 30 mins to get to this forum. Am I suddenly BANNED?? Is this what it looks like?? HELP. I have a store and I can't help customers.
  12. After years of not being a premium member, I joined last month because I was sick and tired of taking days to get into new events. Going to events, besides making baby clothes, is all I do in Second Life. So, for that, it was worth it!

  15. Thank you all for such fast response. I have some customers asking for help and I can't get in to address the issues. Nor, fill my vendors that are empty. I'm so bored. We had our Thanksgiving yesterday, so nothing to do at all, but log into SL, and of course...can't!! LOL

  17. I'm unable to log into Second Life today. It's just hanging. Anyone else? I can't find anyone having issues.
  18. My description states I offer refunds. There is no reason to be left a crappy review. Especially because the script necessary for my product are not mine, but bought from another person. So I tell them to contact me for refund or replacement if script goes bad or if they try to open the box which you can't do with baby clothes. Think applier clothes for babies. But still I get occasional 1 star reviews, "It didn't work..." no note to me, no opportunity to help. And Linden, who used to take down bogus reviews, says it's my problem. I will contact buyer and offer refund to remove review. But if that fails... And it often does... Refuse to answer me... Well, it is frustrating after days creating something for another to pay pennies on the dollar to kill its sale.
  19. thank you to those who gave constructive answers on how premium works. It usually takes me four days. Those flying across the grid without issues, blessings and good will. to those trying to figure out why I want to get into a new event, to you I say, stay on topic. wouldn't it be keen if just once there wasn't a judgement on these forums when someone just has a question? I rarely post here anymore.
  20. I read that premium residents get into events first. How many avatars, or resources, are put aside for premium? If any. If the amount allowed "isn't" used, does it become available to the rest of the grid? I'm going on my eight years (seems like decades), in Second Life as a full-time resident, logging most days for more than four hours. Recently, I've begun to wonder why I can't get into events in a timely manner. It's never taken me so long, even if I use a hud that automatically TP's. Is allocation of resources a possible problem? I wasn't aware of premium Elite status to events--which is cool unless it isn't fully used, until the other day. I had premium for years and wasn't offered early entry (that I'm aware). Now, I just want to know why it's a 3-5 day press to get into events (for me).
  21. I've made a good living here. I've not put a cent in here since 2011. But I worked my ass off... That's the no fun part. You want to know whose making money and how, check out top designers, or find a niche. Be ready to give up your social like.
  22. Send me a note in world and I'll send you landmarks for clubs that are open 24 7. I have three great rock and roll clubs, several ballrooms and a jazz club that are always busy.
