I do have a huge inventory. I'm a creator so from 09, its about 70K. Which I think is big to me. I would be over 100K but four years ago I had a massive inventory loss. Also I'm not sure, but i have 1/4 sim stuffed with mesh objects. I'm so grateful for all of these amazing answers!!!!! I'm going read everything and find out where my problems might be!!

Does anyone know why quiting second life can cause the program to "hang?" and not quit? I'm using Firestorm and this problem is on both of my computers, laptop and desktop. This problem isn't as bad with Linden's viewer. I'll ask the question in Firestorm's Jira if know one knows, but there's a lot of knowledge here, so thought I'd try here first. Go to log out, click the "X" Hanging... Program not closed, but everything is frozen. Waiting, waiting... as long as five minutes. Sometimes I have to go into my system manager to quit the program. Could it be something particular that I could chang in the settings?

I'm a professional designer since 09. Sometimes I sell my extra gotchas. For me... It's to just get rid of them. But before you snark at unprofessional sellers, keep in mind, some are professionals. It's not my responsibility to educate people about everything sold in Second Life.keep in mind some boxed gochas don't give much information for the resellers. Go to the arcade and buy your gotchas during the seasons, and avoid resellers.

Another Linden told me on the Jira that all delisted had empty folders... Not....and gave me a unless link on how to set up folders. I've been on MP since 09. And on the new system since day one. Treating me like a newb rather than take responsibility.

I see your point, but also have seen them state there could be MP issues. Whenever I sell something, the description changes to one of my other outfits. Today it was almost half my inventory. I'm trying to find a pattern but, other than the purchase part, I've no idea. It's so time consuming and no one else seems to deal with these issues I have. Depressing. Would be so much better if someone said, "hey, me too!" I hate, hate, hate being the only one having this particular problem. One reasons is, if I'm the only one, then Linden isn't going to help me. Where does it say anything about marketplace?

Has anyone had their MP delist all their items? Plus unable to get them relisted thorugh the web portal. Hangs up. This is borked. Also, 30% of my items were renamed "Baby Tux Red," which it does this all the time with one or two, but now most of my products have this name.

I sell original designs but use a no copy script I pay for (please don't ask me to explain that), anyways, everytime someone buys something, the description name changes to just one of my items "Red Tux," which I do sell (baby tux). So sometimes I have 15 items called Red Tux. I opened a Jira, but well... Brooke Linden said they'd found the bug, but it's still happening. Lots of crazy things with the new VMM, but overall I like it.

Is there a setting so that I can have one notecard open at a time in edit? If I'm editing in one box, then go to other, I lose the other open box. Thank u.

If he took it into inventory to put in a vendor, where is the copy? SL always duplicates unless he put a new copy script into his object, then it when he duplicate. I'm still confused from the original post it sounded like he was making something and then put a new vendor and they were taken, so there's substep missing that would have made his original build not copy. Well it seems this thread is dead now so I won't read further. But I would have liked to have known how he ended up with no copies if he brought it into inventory. He must have deleted that build. I make original clothing that requires a no copy script that I purchase. So there have been times when I sold the last one and had to repackage my build But I have copies of everything that put it together. Just would like conclusion as to how he had no copies., I think then the lesson learned is keep copies, in that case it's really the builders fault. And every builder has made things that they've lost for a various amount of reasons, not all related to second line but just being stupid and not doing backups. It's really important when they're doing restarts to save your items that he already stated that that wasn't the issue.

Second Life is the Wild West. There is nothing legally binding between avatars that is done in world. If you want to have a legal binding agreement, take it out of Second Life and have it legally signed with an attorney. Second Life customer service I will help you if you have legitimate technical problems. They do not get involved with Avatar disputes. Read the Terms of Service. You stated on the title of this post that you are a business owner. Unless you own land, or are having a marketplace problem. That statement does not mean anything to Linden Labs. There are a million business owners and Second Life. You've been given good advice when this forum, and I don't think anybody else can help you.

Here we go, but worded different. See this one often. Ahem. I don't review unless I can give a five star. I don't know what those other stars mean, and I'm not borking someones items. If i get a less than five, well, I scratch my head. "LOVE this!" 4 stars. Geez, what's a 5 star gonna say? The system is messed up. I'd rather say nothing on a review if not happy, and if someone isn't happy with me, contact me PLEASE. I have no issue refunding. I mean, most items on MP are less than a cup of coffee at star bucks. That people leave snarky reviews for USD equivalant .81 just pisses me off to no end. Or if they're in my box having a fit for a .50 USD item. I'd like to say, really, look down, you might find that change on the ground! Yes, to answer the question, it bothers me because it's a failed system.

Do you mean descrimination in Second Life!!!??? Buy what you like. Your questions are all over the internet. Just search, "Original mesh vs Template Mesh, Second Life."

Yes, and yes. If a seller asks to have a review looked at by Linden, it's up to Linden to remove them. First you stated, not asked: "You can easily get LL to help you remove negative, non flaming market place reviews?" Is this a question or a statement? Usually a question mark is a question. You've worded this to sound as if you know some fact. I, personally question that there were more than one star reviews taken off. I find it highly unlikely that Linden would remove them all. Also, giving that you called the merchant a hole, I can only imagine your review. Though you're claiming it wasn't infamatory. I'm thinking it probably wasn't as objective as you're claiming. Why was she a "hole?" What did she say to you? Assuming again, that you contacted her about the problem? Based on your original question here, I'm assuming you weren't very pleasant to her, or wrote an objective review. Unless your a designer, understand the pressure, hard work, devotion to selling items that cost less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks, then then you don't understand the issues they face. Yes, Linden will remove reviews if they consider them hostle, or used to demote a product for another designer. They'll remove bad reviews on demo's as well. Your final statement is unfounded. There are many 1-3 star reviews on Market Place. Sorry, not buying the full story you're giving here.

I tried the other two viewers, and had so many issues with both, gave up. I believe it's all the graphic programs I run with SL. But other mesh bodies are not causing the issue.

So, since I began using LL viewer due to VMM, I'm seeing this BLUR, sharpen, BLUR all day long. I found an old thread on this, but nothing current? Anyone having this problem?

Did you find your items? It's always nice for a FU. If not, you may have actually lost them. If you have no copy items out and they do a sim re start from a previous date, your item will be gone if you'd put it out shortly "before" the r. Happened to me many times. Rolling restarts will lose items. They tell us NOT to put out no copy items for a reason. Using Linden's Offical Viewer and Firestorm. Going back and forth between viewers can cause inventory loss. Don't ask me the tech's on this, but I'd read about a bug that can cause loss. I'd been doing research on inventory loss because I'd lost about 35K of times by switching from Linden Viewer after I emptied my trash, and logged into Firestorm. Those items were never recovered, even though Linden spent an entire day in my account. Can I ask what the items were? Hope it's working out now.

So, you have two posts, and one is a rant all in caps to the CEO of Linden Labs, with requests that really don't benefit anyone but apparently you. I'm assuming that you don't have private land and that's the reason you want a sandbox. Well, for $9.00 a month as a premium account holder, you can access some outstanding sandboxes that are nearly empty. Where are you trying to use vehicles? Knowing where, might make it easier to give advice. Mainland would be laggy, and so would public sandboxes. Have you tried sims just for vehicles? Sur name? Look where that got me. Like many who come to Sl for the first time, I didn't know this was a forever name. I picked it to get "close" to a name I'd used in a book I wrote; fail. I would only recommend the "resident" part be deleted. And you can give yourself a last name. Totally unsure of this question. Gambling? Aren't there apps on your phone for that with better winnings? Linden can't do that legally no matter where they put it... Your # 5 confounds me. Where is your inventory going? Why would anyone want to go back to a non mesh world, where everything seemed graphically muted and surreal? You have to clarify what you mean by that suggestion. We can have anything in our inventory. Who's taking what out of yours? Most everyone loves mesh of some kind. Your rant is the kind of reason CEO's have better things to do with their days than read the forums. I'd ask Mr. Linden to please put the copy parameters on the Linden Viewer now that we're all using it for VMM. I'd like to thank him for at least making a bold attempt to fix the broken MP, and other than a few bugs, it's so much easier for me to manage no copy scripts. I might ask him to remove the words rape, molestation, and slaves from all of Second Life. Naked teen avatars from Market Place suggesting sex with them. It's so offensive and illegal in the USA. If they removed a flag, then could at the very least remove these terms, and close down rape clubs and events surrounding rape and slaves, and child sex, of any kind. When people act amazed that SL is considered a place for sex, I want to shake them, and say, how could they not? We, the members don't see it unless we look for it, but the public seems to know all about it! We can't continually explain that SL isn't about sex. I've been told several times by Facebook friends that they won't come here because of the sex. I'd never talked to them in depth about SL, just invited them to come. It kinda reminds me of when I was actively publishing romance novels, and people would call them bodice rippers, I'd have to spend a good deal of time explaining the "relationship" was the story, not the SEX. My first TV interview the first thing the interviewee asked was, "So tell us about the sex." I was mortified, and unprepared for an answer. I'd ask Mr. Linden to have better live support for those who don't have a premium accounts, especially those on Market Place. So, if you're going to suggest things, try being respectful and include things that would benefit the community. And also try getting some posts under your belly before going off.

I changed the setting for the groups in debug but I'm still getting them. But I turned off the sound. It takes getting used to this viewer. Thanks for the tips!
