Yes! I forgot that part. Thanks for adding another bit to ponder! Good one.
  2. If LL were to add these additional elements of realism to SL, would you still play? *Your house could be robbed and items really taken *You could be robbed and Ls really taken *You could be murdered (Not only on combat sims, but by random acts of violent crime - no starting over, no grace period. Once you're dead, you're gone. The end unless you get a new account.) *You could contract STDs and suffer the same consequences to your avatar as you would in RL *You could become pregnant w/out it being an option *You could die/become maimed/injured in accidents, too - like car crashes, falls, etc.(Same no 'do overs' apply here as above) As for me...I'm not sure. If I did, I'd be daresome to leave my house. What say you?
  3. Not me. I'm modest in both lives and totally a boots and jeans kind of girl. The whole trampy skirt so short I can see your tampon string look makes me gag - not not nearly as much as the ass crack showing pants and the one exposed nipple tops do.
  4. I don't think Phoenix has the turn off chat option. Firestorm does, tho.
  5. Sorry - I gave you information you already had. Didn't see that part of your post. Eh, well. Check at Black Tulip. The owner makes tutorials for a lot of things and she is one of the BB Teachers. Auryn (sp?) is her name.
  6. I can't speak for user-friendliness because I gave up on trying to sculpt after seeing the program, but I'm just easily discourgaged like that. *laughs* Builder's Brewery offers frequent sculpting classes using Blender (free). You can look them up in world and online to see their calendar and class offerings. They have other classes, too - using other programs, but I can't recall the other program names at present.
  7. Is "Auto Accept" on? That might be the culprit - sent when you were offline. Many people have told you how to 'transfer' the picture to your computer and you still keep saying there is no way to do this. YES there is - several, actually - which have been explained. Did you read them?
  8. Bree Giffen wrote: Do you have a permanent place or are you a wanderer? Not anymore. I rez/piddle around the land where my store is and have a platform up above for a junkpile or whatever. Did you get a home as soon as you started or did you wait? I've been here 3yrs and have done the house/hand thing ad nauseum. I got my first one within a week or so of joining SL. Skybox or ground? Own or rent? Mainland or island? Roommates? My choices have always been ground, own, either and no roomates. What is your prim allotment to the parts of your home? Like 50% on the house, 20% on furniture, etc. 937 on a 4096 is what I have now - have had smaller and larger. About half the prims are vacant right now, other 1/2 is store stuff. What do you do in your house? Nothing - which is why I realized having one for me was pointless. Do you recommend homeowning? Owning something - whatever it is, somewhere that's yours to go, yes. Does it make you stay in SL? Yes. If I didn't have my store, I'd have left SL a long time ago out of boredom. There you go! Share as little or as much as you want. If you are curious about some other aspect of homeowning just ask! And.. No this ain't a survey.
  9. First and foremost - I don't think this is true. And if it is, it must be in a club with 2-3 people max and the DJ/host must be essentially silent. Speaking as a DJ - it's damned hard to keep up with the chat, the comings and goings of people, the requests, the personal IMs, speaking on mic plus keeping an eye on the music player and keeping it going and it only gets harder as more people show up. I just don't think anyone could do both jobs at once. Not fully or well, anyway. That said - why do you care? If the DJ is good and you want to tip - why shouldn't you? If the host is good and you want to tip - why shouldn't you? It's none of your business where the 'money is going'. That's like handing someone their paycheck with the stipulation that you get to dictate where they spend it and on what.
  10. There's no RLV hud - it's a relay and it's free. OC have them made in so you don't need a separate one. But if you want one, they are readily available free, too - just search RLV Relay. There are animations built into the collar so you don't need anything separate for that, either - unless you wanna be a pony, puppy or the likes. OC has submissive animations included via the POSE menu.
  11. Bunneh Kitteh Smexy These words make me feel like I need a bath, a flea dip and possible STD testing.

  13. SL is a cliquish place full of self-absorbed people. You'll do good and far better than most, if you can walk into a club and get a host to greet you. So if people who are being paid (via tips and such) to greet won't even bother, it's not bloody likely that others will either. Yep, there are a million and one legit reasons (AFK, phone, work blah) that someone blows off a hello. But 9 times out of 10, it's piss poor people skills. Keep saying hello and walk away with your head held high. More likely than not, they don't respond because their heads were too far up their own arses to notice the gesture. And to the people who reply that they are exercising their right 'not to', I am exercising my right to form the above opinion of you, based on your actions so no need for any backs and forths to that effect.
  14. Someone owns the land where you have these events. Someone associated with putting them on must have some kind of rapport with the owner because normally, you wouldn't just saunter onto a stranger's land and have an event. So why aren't those two (or more) people able to come to a solution in terms of stopping/ejecting the offenders?
  15. Three years in world and I have never been a premium member. Linden homes are rather unappealing and 512m of land and the allotted prims doesn't cut it if you have ideas and things you want to do.
  16. Sevrer wrote: If someone speaks to my son, uses curse words, or sexual words or sexual harrassment, it seems like this should be reported. So you want anyone who speaks to your darling reported? As for the curse words and sex words, I'll put up Lindens on a bet that your lil darling has heard them all and a few that you haven't - twice, before the school day is over.
  17. Charolotte Caxton wrote: The underlying principles of be kind to your fellow man and don't do things to yourself or others that would not be good for the greater good are wonderful ideals. However, when we start to say that people need to be saved from hell, the first question would be, who is condemning us to hell? The answer is God, because we have sinned against him. Well then, if we are his creations, and he knew we would sin and not accept Christ, then the only bad guy in the whole scenario is God. There can be no good in a God that creates people to hand over to eternal damnation and hellfire. Therefore there can be no God. He gave us free will to make our own choices. He laid it out like this - Okay, this is what you gotta do to get to Heaven. But you don't have to. I'm just saying this is the road to take to get you to the enternal life I have planned for you. You're free to take any road you want to take. I'm not gonna tell you what to do. And with that free will, He forsees which path each person will take - of his own doing, not because he was led astray by some uncaring, malicious God with false pretenses. He told them what to do to get to where they needed to be. The end route and end result are direct results of manmade choices and decisions.
  18. Nope, no one else has the issue most of the time and the clubs aren't really full. Happens even with 10 or so people in. I've DJ'd too on SAM and I know about the lil bit of a delay on the DJ part, but this seems really excessive - it's a full minute some times, eh. Nope, not on wireless either.
  19. Weird issue and it's been pretty constant..... The streams of live DJs in clubs and such skip for me and are also very delayed, meaning by the time one song gets to the end for me, the next one has already been playing a good minute. I turn sound off/on, it seems to catch up for a minute, but goes right back to skipping and delaying. Same issues, different clubs, too. But radio streams work fine. Thoughts?
  20. I think it's a good idea. But if there was a way to block DEMOS or Mesh items - O, happy day - it would be perfect!

PS - Comparing customers that leave a company to people that commit suicide is ridiculous. Just saying. Watching their ship sink from afar without any intervention to save it? That'll keep 'em afloat, for sure! /end sarcasm PS - Your opinion. Thank you for sharing it.
  22. I read this: MiaSnow Myriam wrote: But it makes me wonder then, why would I pay so much tier for land? I hope SL is going to soon add features that make the land more valuable for residentsIf you're not happy with the land fees, don't buy any! If you don't think you're getting your money's worth, don't buy any! LL will continue to sell so long as people continue to buy. See how that works? They're not going to change their MO for you. Or him. Or her. Consumer power is in numbers, not disgruntled singles.
  23. I think it's apparent, from the number of people posting about LL's lackluster customer service skills in various threads (Can't say, never had an issue to contact them for), that LL isn't as tuned in to the wants/needs/demands of their clients as they should be. So this reply, as it pertains to the Lindens giving a rip about a complaint, is laughable at best.
  24. Why do these threads crop up every so often from disgruntled members? Is it to get attention from the Lindens? Do they really think one gripe will make much difference? I mean, it's kind of like threatening suicide. Most people who intend to commit suicide don't give warnings. They just do it. Same with people who truly get fed up with/burned out on/sick of SL. They don't carry on with long farewells. They just go. If you need someone else to point out the good/bad reasons for you to stay somewhere - anywhere - you maybe should have left a long time ago before your ability to enjoy it hinged on other people.
