How odd.
  2. It's likely some moving/flying/rotating/roaming object that finds itself onto neighboring land and gets booted off.
  3. This caveat usually appears in the profile of a RL man playing a SL woman to make 'her' seem more 'authentic'. To my knowledge, there is no legit verification system in place by LL or anyone else, to answer your question.
  4. I'm wondering how giving your DL info is going to resolve your place of birth issue. What info do they have already that relates to the DL in a way that they can compare it? I don't follow their logic.
  5. If they don't own the parcel and are under someone else's covenant, contact that person to have them deal with it.
  6. Mesh clothes don't work with my avatar. I have more pixels than the average cartoon and my butt always hangs out of the clothes. Some of them do look nice though - on other people. I won't be buying any of it. Mesh furniture just looks bleh to me, sorta flat. Mesh shoes, eh - they're alright.
  7. It's a HUD. And it's true. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Soul-Seize-Hud-Control-Someone-Permanently-No-RLV-Needed-No-Collar-Needed-No-Attachments-Needed/4297337
  8. I think it's plausible there are gangs and other organized crime units like terrorist cells and the likes in SL It seems like it would be a good way to get all their people together in a central location for meetings, deals and whatnot to receive instructions on what to do in RL. They may see it as a safer alternative to using phones, emails, etc. If they were here, I don't think their intentions would be to carry out anything in SL like lame griefer attacks, but to do their RL planning.
  9. Are you wearing an RLV relay that's prohibiting you from doing those things? Sounds like you might be.
  10. Do you remember who it was from? If so, you can pull up their profile, open an IM box with them and click the "History" button. It *should* bring up your chat history with that person in Notepad, if you have your settings where IMs are logged.

Amethyst Jetaime wrote: While it is true that you should never grant debit permissions to an object that you receive randomly or that you don't expect it to be an object that handles any money transactions, if you buy something such as a tip jar, vendor, donation box etc. you should expect this question about permissions and worry if you DON'T receive it. ANY object that people pay money too or that will debit your account will ask for these permissions. Not only is it standard, t is required by the LSL scripting system. This includes tip jars, vendors, donation boxes etc. No object that collects money will work unless you grant the permissions. You are mistaken. Tip jars, donation boxes, Gatcha machines and anything else that is owned by one person, has a "Pay" function and doesn't actually 'sell' or 'give' anything will NOT ask you for debit permissions. Not only will it not ask you for them, they clearly aren't needed. If someone is paying you, why does the machine need permission to debit YOUR account to cover THEIR payment? In terms of vendors, raffles, contest boards and items that actually give or award something in return for the payment OR where income/profit sharing is concerned - yes - debit permissions are the norm.
  12. If it were truly 'No Mod', you wouldn't even have the option of getting a different texture in the edit window space or dropping a script into the contents. Those options would be greyed out and inaccessible entirely.
  13. I think I know which group you're talking about and the non-response is NOT surprising to me...a long time member of said group. (If it's the one I'm thinking of....) In their defense, the owners of the sim/group rarely participate in chat so they don't know the extent of the piss poor people skills that are encountered there. My advice would to be go to them directly and inquire. They have been nothing, but super nice, helpful and friendly when I've contacted them outside of the group.
  14. Why not just cancel your premium subscription all together and invest that money in a SL home/land that you really want?
  15. Alicia Sautereau wrote: Revoke all estate managers rights for a week and see if it stops One by one, a week at a time, unbeknownst to anyone. When it stops, you'll find your answer.

  17. I realize that some store owners leave bot avatars in their stores for whatever reason. I also know that on the SL website (somewhere, I've seen it) there is an option to change an account to 'scripted agent' or 'bot status'. What I want to know is are the bot accounts like any other account that have to be logged in and running on a computer somewhere in the world, as you would be on a 'normal' account - or do these work separately some how and just kind of linger without being logged in, once changed to that 'scripted agent' status?
  18. Uploading anything to MP is a chore anymore. What you could do is have a 'yard sale' of sorts, if you have the land. Just put the outfits in a prim and label with a picture accordingly. Then advertise your sale in the "Events" section.
  19. I wouldn't do it. Things like this generally never end on good terms.
  20. FGS, it's SL, it happens to EVERYONE. Get over it! *rolls eyes* /me looks around, confused It doesn't happen to me. Like ever, at all.
  21. ColoradoCowboy Manen Tell him Senobia sent you! He's fantastic. (Not sure of the rates)
  22. If you're intending to sell them to content creators, they need to have full permissions - copy/mod/transfer. Otherwise, they are pretty much useless on the commercial front. In terms of pricing, you should visit other texture shops in SL to see how compareable ones are priced. Bearing in mind that just because they are being sold at a certain price doesn't mean they are actually selling. That said, you're going to want to make your upload fees back plus some for your time/investment so those are things to consider as well. Good luck!
  23. Why do you think that people want to play as their opposite gender on an online game? On the one hand, I can see the attraction where a RL man might wanna see how well he cleans up as a girl and how a RL woman might wanna know what it's like to have a **bleep**. (Ew) Beyond that - when you get into the sex bit - I can't understand it. Being that the majority of gender benders in SL are RL men to SL women who are usually lesbians, I'll use that as my example - why would a RL man go to allllllllllll the trouble of becoming a SL woman just to have sex with women? *head tilt* How do you think people respond to players who are not the gender they play as? How would you respond? I think people are very receptive to them - especially RL men who play SL men. For some reason, when it comes to 'shemales' in SL (the kind that are outwardly female, but have a **bleep**), because it has breasts overrides the fact that it also has a **bleep**, which makes it totally not gay and safe for their masculine egos. My opinion is - it's your SL, be what you wanna be. That said, I'd never be 'involved' with a SL man that I knew was a RL woman and would be totally revolted if I ever found out I'd been duped. Do you think people who gender bend are forth coming or do they wait to be asked? I think most of them are pretty open about it in their profiles. And the ones who aren't, it's pretty obvious sometimes. For example, their account name will be James Smith and they will have a female avatar with a tag over their head that says "Jamie".
  24. Do you own it or did you sublet/buy from someone else and pay them the tier? If you do, you may not be allowed to divide/rent/resell the land, as per the covenant. Otherwise, you could just divide off a parcel for your friend and work out the terms between yourselves. You can always boot them off, send their stuff back and reclaim the parcel if it doesn't work out.
  25. People are asses. You don't have any option to change that. However, you do have a few options where your land is concerned. 1. If you really must be free-hearted and let people roam your ground level, invest in a house with doors that lock. Unless a name is on its whitelist, the doors will not open. Bear in mind, this will not stop people from going inside your house. They can simply cam in and click to sit on a chair or any other prim. But that solves your door issue as you see it. 2. You can see a list of who has prims on your land in the land settings. You can also return any/all of those items with a click at the time of your choosing. That is if you want to leave rez/object entry on for the public - which is a bad idea in general. 3. If your neighbor rezzes unsightly stuff at any level, unless your sim has some kind of covenant to adhere to, there's nothing that can be 'enforced'. You can, however, derender anything you don't want to see. It doesn't make it go away entirely, but at least you won't have to look at it. 4. You can set the permissions on your land where nobody can see or chat with anyone on that parcel. Once you do this, the creepers won't be able to see you anymore, even if they do cam over. 5. Since your platform in the air seems like a simple one with few prims, why not just move it up or down or over? No, you shouldn't have to, but it's a lot easier than dealing with people who are just unable to be dealt with or reasoned with.
