  1. Luckenbach, Texas is returning to SL and we need DJs to make that happen. It's a small, laid back kind of place with only one rule - be grown or be gone. We like to give our DJs total creative freedom to do their sets as they wish, without having someone looking over their shoulders and nitpicking their every single move they make/track they play. The details: You're not going to get rich with these gigs so if you're in it for the money, you'd be in the wrong place. You do get all your tips, tho - and of course the owners tip, too. But you're gonna have a lot of fun without lots of rules so that's a bonus, right? You have to have your own stream and speak on mic. This should go without saying, but eh -you'd be surprised. We don't care how old you are, so long as you know what you're doing and how to do it. You don't have to commit to a certain number of sets, but we'd like it if you did. We only have two owners, the ones that pay the bills. No middle men, no assistants, no contact person to go to. You deal with us directly and we're easy to deal with (and fun). This is a small place and we're okay with that. We will have (owner funded) contests from time to time and you're free to pick the theme. We offer incentive bonuses for DJs who bring in the most VIPs on their sets and for recruiting new group members. Interested? We hope you are. Contact Senobia Xenga or buck710513 Resident in-world to find out more. Or drop by the club and leave us a notecard telling us all about you. (We don't have a formal application. Just tell us what we need to know about you, when you can work - blah blah.) We look forward to speaking with you. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Mina%20Falls/14/223/22

  4. You have two options: 1. Stop making yourself available. 2. Continue making yourself available. **Disclaimer: Option #2 renders your whining priviliges null and void.**
  5. ZoeTick wrote: Maybe you should think about what you are going to type before you start ranting. Why? You don't - neither do any of your equally heinous and ignore-worthy forum alts.

Be that person instead.
  7. Pamela Galli wrote: And if you do trash talk our SL, don't be surprised if you get some pushback on that. What do you mean "our SL"? You don't own one blessed thing about 'your SL' besides the parcel you may be standing on and a few random prims you may have created. In short, the only thing you're running is your mouth. And when you trash talk for the rest of us who have just as much right to be here as you do, don't be surprised if you get some pushback on that.
  8. Highlight everything in your trash, right click, choose "Restore" (or something to that effect).
  9. I did. Subject was: Hello And the email said: It is my pleasure to contact you , My name is Blah Blah, you can get back to me through my email address blahblah@outlook.com ,Please write me back so that we may talk better Of course, the name wasn't Blah Blah, but whatever. Anyone else or am I just special?
  10. Meh, don't care about it so much. More likely than not, the next time you look at their profiles, the information will be either gone or changed to reflect their current relationship (of the week).
  11. So, you wrote that big, long, barely legible wall of text to state three simple things: 1. You showed a pic of your junk after LL said you can't do that. 2. LL gave you a timeout. 3. You're butthurt as a result. Does that about sum it up? Good. Quit whining. It's your fault, not LL's. You didn't get banned for 'innocently shopping for trees'. You didn't get banned for being gay, despite HOW many times you referenced that fact in your whiney tirade. You got banned for showing a pic of your junk. THE END. Paying to be a premium member doesn't give you a free pass to break the rules. In fact, before you even laid your money down, you agreed to adhere to LL's rules, including the part about not showing your junk in your profile. You got the 'customer support' that you asked for - your question was answered by whomever you called. (See numbers 1-3 above for a recap.) That's called doing their job, see? Be careful what you wish for. On a side note, I've been in SL nearly six years and I really don't know where you hang out (besides landscaping stores) that 'most everyone you meet' has pics of their junk in their profiles because...I haven't met THOSE people.

Is your goal to get business or drive it away? The bolded part makes one wonder.
  13. Bringing 'the crowd' is not part of a DJ's job description. Entertaining them is.
  14. I saw this place in the Destination Guide the other day, but when I tried to tp there, I get a message saying I don't have access. Could it be a premium only sim (do they even have those?) or maybe just some kind of glitch?
  15. Do you have payment info on file? I think that's a requirement.
  16. Since last night, I'm down about 20K items. Checked forums and grid status, not seeing anything about it. Is it just me? :matte-motes-crying:

You win some, you lose some. You just gotta figure out how to get creative with your attack Let me just clear up a couple of illusions for you right quick. 1. There are very few ways to get game currency without investing RL money into it - and that's on an at all basis, not the daily one you have in mind. 2. Second Life is user created and user funded so anything you find in world that 'entertains' you and makes your SL 'more enjoyable" is costing someone else. Everything. All of it. Is coming out of someone else's pocket.
  18. Five years for me and honestly, SL lost its luster many moons ago. Lag is unbearable, people are just hateful anymore and every place that actually has people in attendance seems to be geared toward the pixel sexers. For the lag and instability issues, I blame the introduction of mesh. It changed a lot of things - and most of them were not for the better. I used to LOVE going to building classes to learn new things, but now - you can't even participate in 95% of those without having Blender/Gimp/some other program installed and running while in SL - which compounds viewer performance issues. I was never a real fan of most clothing options for women in SL anyway, but now - the majority of designers are catering to the Slink/Lola/Other mesh part users, leaving the rest of us with even far fewer choices than we had before. These are just a few of the reasons my time inworld is limited anymore. *longs wistfully for the old days*
  19. I don't know why you're wasting time posting here when it could be better spend copying all his uncouth commentary and making a notecard to pass on to his partner. It's not slander if it's true, unlike what (you say) he did to you.
  20. I lost an entire furnished house AND store to a server roll - on separate occasions, too. I never did see any of that stuff again.
  21. Quicktime needs updating, too - in some instances. After doing that, restart computer and see if it helps.
