  1. Hi All, I am looking for some musical instruments that I can display on a stage. Drums, Guitars (acoustic) & Saxophone. It would help if the drums have modify rights (at least the outward facing skin of the bass drum) Obviously I have seen plenty of instruments for sale, but i'm not bothered whether or not you can play them, just need to display them. Thanks in advance Jimbo
  2. Thank you both, got what i wanted now
  3. Hi All, Not sure if anyone can help, but i'm looking for a skin that is (i don't want to say ugly) not quite as good looking as your average pretty boy skins. The sort of face that only a mother could love (if she'd had a couple of large whiskeys) Thanks in advance Jimbo

  5. More Junk. What happened to this ? http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Tools-and-Technology/Back-to-Basics-Technology-Improvements/ba-p/668918 New Chat Service Coming Soon We’re finally going to tackle the group chat problem that has been a Resident complaint for a long time. Group chat can often be confusing, with “chat lag” causing responses to appear late, or sometimes not at all. You should start to see real improvements in this early next year. Over the last few months, we’ve completed a number of development sprints to prototype an XMPP service and have decided to move forward with an ejabberd deployment. We’re targeting to have a test deployment of the new group chat service by the end of this year, and full production deployment in early 2011. Early 2011 ? ... we're nearing halfway through 2011, and STILL no news on this much needed feature. another disappointment from the people who bring you failed teleports & failed logins
  6. I've been SL partnered twice now (single in RL both times) The first time was for love/romance. There was even talk of me moving across the pond to be with her. The second (although i had great feelings for her) was more of a marriage of convenience. I always knew that partnering was doomed to fail, as she is married in RL. Her RL husband also uses SL & was fully aware of the relationship and even approved ..... I guess it helps that he is my RL best friend (but i digress) I've also had a couple of unpartenered relationships ... these seem to burn very brightly, but fade just as quickly I feel now that at the ripe old age of (nearly) 3 .... with a few failed relationships & 2 failed partnerings behind me, i am about ready for the proverbial shelf. Sure i have an abundance of friends ... but for me personally, i think the romantic side of SL is over. I have my other interests to keep me occupied ... be it building (not very good, but it keeps me out of trouble) DJing (well, streaming my own music into SL) or my HUD based, medieval land buying game (no names mentioned, but those who play it know what i'm talking about ... if you WANT to know, give me a shout inworld:smileyhappy: ) Edit To Add: Wow that was theraputic
  7. Hi All, I've been in SL for nearly 3 years & as of yet, havn't managed to find a place where other Brits hang out. I'm not really interested in the club scene (unless there's some good oldies playing) & pixelated porn (imho) is a waste of computer resources. So .... if you know of a place to chill, or indeed if you own a place that is frequented by Brits ... please either let me know here ... or if it's a secret, you could always drop me some cryptic clues to my IM box inworld :smileyvery-happy: Look forward to hearing from you :smileyhappy:

  9. As customers, your satisfaction and input is critical to the success of Second Life. Certainly hasn't appeared that way in the past. There have been many times your customers have said ... please do not do this ... or please do not do that ..... only for the flavour of the month to be pushed through regardless. Our goal is not only to listen and acknowledge your feedback and ideas, but also to work more collaboratively to help build a better Second Life experience for the common good. I guess we'll just have to wait & see. although i can already hear the calls of ... heard it all before
  10. Thank you Tolya. Knew it had to be something ridiculously easy
  11. Hi all, I think i've broken something ..... Does anyone know how to turn on (yes ... on) the thing (technical term) where you get group notices sent to your email address ? I have somehow managed to turn it off, but am now looking to turn it back on (and i forgot how i turned it off in the first place) Any help will be gratefully received
  12. preaching to the choir here. instead of adding new problems (sorry ... "features"), why not work on the existing problems. A recent blog statement revealed that LL are finally going to be sorting out chat lag ... i'm sure if they concentrated on that instead of new toys, they would have it sorted out sooner than their predicted early 2011 forecast. link for clarity http://blogs.secondlife.com/community/technology/blog/2010/10/14/back-to-basics-technology-improvements
  13. Bah, I guess UK residents are out of the loop again

  16. Why are you even bothering to tell us ? It has been made crystal clear in previous blog announcements, that you don't give a rodents rectum what we think.

    T-Shirt Sizes

Hi all, I've recently found an interest in designing T-shirts (for my own use) and 'thought' i was getting pretty darn good at it too. Then i realised, that when i wear any trousers other than my fave pvc jeans .... that the shirts aren't quite as long as they should be. I've followed a couple of the tutorials that are available, but to no avail. Is there anyone out there that knows how to stop me from flashing my midrift when i wear jeans (for example) Thanks in advance
  19. HI all, Is there a way to reactivate an account after LL have disabled it. There is an outstanding bill on the account, which i wish to pay & continue using the account. Thanks in advance JImbo™
  20. indeed she is a lady ..... thankfully. lol
  21. A friend of mine sent me some wood textures a while back ..... the message i got was: Carrie gave you wood
  22. I've found that Winamp does do a good job, but it does leave a small gap between tracks. For completely seemless streaming you would need a piece of software called SAM Broadcaster. However, that's not cheap. If i remember right, it costs somewhere in the region of $300 (thats US, not L$). Although it's it's pre-mixed & saved off as 1 file. Winamp should be able to cope nicely
  23. seems to be sorted now for the time being at least
  24. not just you ...... my login screen hangs for a few minutes, then tells me to check that my caps lock key isn't on /me checks post ..... nope, not 1 single capital letter ...... guess it's not that
