i have viewer 2.62, i quite often have difficultys in tp-ing, but as for crashing on logging out, once or twice , yes but not usually. ( this is the 32 bit windows version i am talking about), but i didnt know 2.63 has just been released, this might be the one you are talking about, as you didn't specify a version number.

Its sorta the same in the real world unfortunatly, but in SL you have the choice of staying or leaving..

Hey! No fair..I say you should entirely ban this page, due to the fact that it is discriminating against anthro,s insects, alien species, sea creatures, and furries in general. !!! What happened to animal rights i say..don't we even get a look in anywhere ? we used to, but the starter ones were a little basic..

Im just wondering if there is a JIRA started on this one already..
With windows SL viewer 2.60 and 2.61, if you log in to, or teleport into a sim with your streaming music enabled, there is no problem, music plays normally ( if the sim has it of course), but if you log in to, or teleport to a sim with your streaming music turned off, and then turn it on in the viewer, there is no music heard at all, and it doesn't work unless you have music enabled when you arrive in the sim..
and yes i checked my levels, cleared cache, relogged etc.
Note that all other sounds work alright, its only the streaming sim music..

There is no need to upgrade to veiwer 2 yet, it is optional, only if you want to update..
viewer 1.23 still logs in, and up to a few days ago i even had it..
check out the third party viewers, such as kirstens, impudence, pheonix, and the others..
but unfortunatly you will eventually have to upgrade to viewer 2,:smileyhappy:

Cool, i didnt even know about this, im a little cluless about the secondlife wiki
Of course being the weekend im having a usual play with the pc..
I actually dont have multiple monitors on my pc, but the windows grafix has vga and dvi output
but i only use dvi, (vga isnt used)
EDITED.. Now, showing my lack of video card knowledge, i found the grafix card i had was a "powercolor" ati card..
found the powercolor site..and the drivers they had from mid 2010 actually installed...now the ones from amd (ati.com)didnt work at all
Now that is weird.. so far all is good on 2.6 on windows, but i cant say for 2.7 LOL..
Oh well back to work on monday (grins)

HI all, i just thought i would post this in case someone else has the same issue..
I have 2 machines, one has linux on an old r 300 (9550), one has windows, with a hd 4670.
I recently tried viewer 2.4 and 2.6, and went back to 1.23 for the following reasons,
The issue is with both machines that everything looks fine except, the avatar is just a featureless black looking thing, or if you have something like another avatar suit on (like a furry for example) you can see it but your clothing wont texture properly. Now, i was told, that this is a texture rendering issue in the browser, and i have have done all the stuff such as clearing cache and adjusting settings. I cant update the drivers on either card, because the 9550 on the linux is basically old and not really supported anymore, and the hd4670 on windows, even though i admit the drivers are out of 2009, is the current set of drivers, but there is one other set of newer drivers for it that my pc wont recognize..
Apart from changing my card to a nvidia one, i cant see any quick solution to this, I am not into software development, and as such do not update my equipment every 6 months, and if that is my problem, well then i cant see myself staying in secondlife much longer.. thank you to anyone reading this that might have the same issue.

dont we all do something stoopid at times..
I dont think you can do anything to retract your bid at a sl auction..
maybe getting in touch with support might help, of course depending on the country you live in, this might not be a feasable option moneywise...

search has not worked effectivly (or even at all) since viewer 2 was implemented...
please download a third party viewer if you wish for search function..
perhaps thats why so many people have left.. oh and the credit card changes is also a annoyance.

I might be being a little picky here, but can anyone direct me to a link where it says viewer 2.51 has been released. I know the differerence would only be a few bug fixes, but it was just slipped up there as a new release, and no-one seems to has said anything, as something like this usually makes it to the blog post..

DNS not found after latest viewer update

dns could not resolve the host name.... I think that means that the dns.. (domain name server) could not connect to the other end (which is second life), but i cant tell you why.......
