I can't give an estimate, because release dates are a mystery to me. I agree with other posters about the focus being on the 2048 parcels right now. For months, I had been checking out the Octopied houseboat region. It seemed like it was languishing in SSP status for about 8 months (maybe I was just impatient 😉). It was a long time. Finally in a random roll, I realized that a nearby region had opened up. Sure enough, Octopied had changed to "Linden Home". I was able to choose a houseboat in that region. Stalking available houses is one of my favorite occupations.

Yes, Fay, that's where it is! I couldn't imagine someone giving up this place if they were into Meds. I wasn't much of a fan of the theme, but when my alt got this one, I fell in love. Often I think I'll want to put down roots in a spot and then realize I haven't started decorating. That's a sure sign, the house isn't a keeper, as much as I was thrilled to get it. This Med is surprising me. Thank you!

I tend to be a hopper and envy the people who have managed to hang onto their Linden home from 2019. I've gone to Premium Plus a few times to request a home that has languished in Maintenance for months. Somehow my alt landed this beautiful abandon. I had to check to see if she had requested it in a ticket. No, it actually came from a random roll.

I'm fascinated by the origins of the region names. I google the ones that I'm not familiar with. Some of them are obvious puns, but the ones I don't know create a learning experience for me.

@violagreen7567, as a premium plus member you can actually choose a home that you like. It has to be an available home, and you can't own another, while you're choosing. You put in a ticket with Support, and you can only do that 3 times in 30 days. The turn around is fast. It's hard to do with the new themes (Ranch and Mediterranean), however, I've been able to do that even with those. I do watch the land page to see what's available. About a week or so ago, there were new regions added for the Meds and Ranches. They went fast, so I'm sure that more will be added because of the demand.

Yes, it would effectively kill the ability to hand off a parcel for themes that aren't near full capacity, and some really great locations might sit empty for an extended period of time, but so what? There has never been a guarantee that handing off is going to work, and great locations are already sitting idle in the unpopular themes. If people want a specific vacant parcel badly enough, they can always pay for the concierge service. Alleviating the biggest frustration of the house selection process seems worth it to me, and would likely generate a renewed enthusiasm for house hunting.
The few times I’ve had Premium Plus, I haven’t been enthralled by the new themes. I’ve wanted to love them, but ultimately I’ve used the perk of selecting a home and then downgrading my account to Premium. There are a lot of primo spots that have been locked in Maintenance for months. Instead of playing game of homes, I’ve switched to be an “in maintenance” house hunter.

It isn't a refund that I am looking for; it would just be really nice to know why I'm paying extra for a service that "feels" broken to me right now. I guess I will file a ticket.
The only thing I could guess is that there still are quite a few Meds available. They haven’t sold out, like the Ranches did.

I'm always bouncing from house to house and never can stay put for very long. I made two accounts (not my main) Premium Plus for a month. I wasn't keen on where I landed (even by places that had substantial water). Then a couple days ago, I decided to roll again and ended up with a rather lovely spot that's on a void. I'll probably be long gone before they make this one landlocked. This is a view from the backyard.

I want to thank whomever abandoned this lovely Trad in South Haven. I've always wanted to live on this coast. There is actually a town called South Haven that is on Lake Michigan (my home state). This felt like a wonderful Christmas gift.

No, it was the houseboat that created multiple houseboats whenever I tried to switch models.

Edit: I just tried with a testing alt and it works. Touch and hold the controller for 4 or 5 seconds then let go. That resets the scripts (all Linden Homes controllers do this in fact) so if they stall you can get it working normally again.
Abnor, I think you and the other Moles have the magic touch. Every time I try to reset the controller, I get a message that it is resetting, but it doesn't reset. I have to contact support. The last time that happened a few days ago, I had to have someone come out and restart the region.

Update to question:
I think I found the answer (or at least something that makes sense to me):
The lighting on the environment settings changed the color of the ceilings. My ceiling was a weird green, another neighbor's was white, another neighbor's was mauve. After I went back to my stilt, and played around with the environment day settings, the ceilings were white again. I don't know if it's a glitch or a new feature. Things look normal again.
Original Question:
Something has changed with the textures on the Stilt ceilings. It looks like we can choose the ceiling color, but there is no option on the control panel. There's an option on the Houseboats. I've cammed around and saw that my neighbors have different colored ceilings. What's the secret? Thanks!

I’m proof of that little window. I check out the land page to see what is available, and a couple times a ranch was available in the past month. And I got it!
Houseboats are my favorites, but it’s all about location. It took 4 months of refreshing the land page and waiting with bated breath for a region release. Now there are lots of houseboats available. It takes time for the Moles and Lindens to build all the new regions to accommodate the demand.

The Dodo Birds became extinct lasting about 1 year.
I loved the Dodos! There were even breedable shoes at one point. 😊

I’m not breeding KittyCats right now, but you don’t need to store boxes inworld. KittyCats have a wonderful online inventory system. Only birthed cats need to be fed in the online inventory. I would only have live cats that I didn’t want to sell anyway. In RL, I have 2 cats that cost an arm and a leg to feed. The novelty of breeding those adorable KittyCats wore off after awhile for me.

I expand and contract my premium memberships depending on what type of theme I’m interested in at the time. About a month ago I decided I wanted to get a ranch before checking to see if any were available. Since there weren’t any available, I decided to avail myself of the perk of selecting an available houseboat in a primo location. The houseboat had been in Maintenance for 10 days! I will be downgrading that membership, because I still love the location.
I keep checking the land page to see what is currently available. Much to my astonishment, there was a ranch available. I immediately got a Premium Plus membership and assumed that someone else would have snagged the house before I could finish my transaction.
Moral to the story is that you don’t have to constantly be watching the land page like the situation of 4 years ago, where there were no houseboats available for months after the initial release. I still remember landing my first houseboat during a region release.
