I know --very odd. My friend had a similar problem and couldn't log in with specific avis using the same computer and same viewer. He fixed it by changing to the v2/v3 viewer. I also can't run those. All my PC friends say I need to ditch the mac. Thanks for your help Venus! Maybe I will be computer shopping next week! Seems like a crazy way to fix the problem though.

yes And weirdly, I can still log in with one avi. Not my main and not the other alt. Looks like it might be time for a SL hiatus

Hi Venus No you aren't belaboring it, I appreciate the help. I am not always up on all the tech vernacular. Yes, when I say I uninstalled, i meant I went in and deleted all cache folders and anything I could find with the viewer's name on it. Still, there must be something I'm doing wrong. I find it odd that I can't run any of the viewers at this point. Thanks so much for your help..I appreciate it!

Hi Venus! Thanks for the suggestions! I actually sort of did what you said--I uninstalled each viewer before reinstalling the next one i tried. I already had this problem with the newer Firestorm and Second Life viewers and thought I just couldn't run the viewers based on the V2/V3 code--(maybe my graphics card couldn't handle it ?). But for this to happen now all of sudden with a version of Phx that had been working is so strange..and finding that one avi can log in...I guess I 'll keep trying to log in at Smith...I'm sort of at a loss.. and Ruby controls my land and has an awesome inventory I would like to access again! hehe

Greetings! I am having a problem with crashing all of a sudden. I have been using the mesh version Phoenix viewer w/ no problems but now I crash on login and I also get the message that body parts cannot be found in database. All versions of Phx crash me now as well as the Second Life viewers. I log on and before my inventory loads (despite logging in at Smith) I crash. I lose all internet connection and have to reboot my modem. STRANGELY I discovered that t I can log in with Firestorm but only with my alts..My main avi still crashes. Does anyone know why it would matter which avi I'm logging in with? I'm on a MAC .... Also wondering what else I might try to get PHX working again...for all my avs. Thanks ! UPDATE--Now it only says my clothes are downloading before I crash, not that body parts are missing from the database. And now only one alt can log in...my main and my 3rd alt crash...

Greetings ! I am trying to abandon a linden home and I am getting an error saying: Your version of the phoenix viewer does not know how to display the alert message it just received. The alert titled ReleaseLandThrottled was not found in notifications.xml I abandoned some other non -linden land yesterday with no problems and another linden home earlier today. I am not very tech minded so I don't even know where to begin with this. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!

No, I didn't try the skin... I am not searching for any new skins now, just a new shape )

Good Idea Claireschen! While I am not still wearing my original noob skin I have worn my original shape since I rezzed about 1 1/2 years ago. I have tweaked it to my liking but thought I would find a new look. Not sure I would know how to make my own other than tweaking the original I'm wearing.

Greetings again! I just posted a question asking for shape suggestions that don't have the big pouty lip look and received some nice suggetsions from Valerie (thanks!). I don't mean to duplicate my questions. In fact I have just realized that my question is really a bit different--are there any Demo Shapes that come modify? All of the Demo Shapes I have found so far have been no mod and I really don't see the point in buying a shape if I don't like the way the DEMO looks and having to hope that, once purchased, it will modify to my liking. If anyone has any suggestions for modifiable shapes I would love to know. Or--how does anyone else manage this? Do you just buy the shape and hope you'll like it? Thanks! Ruby

First Demo I got at Unique is no modify...wow how does anyone know how a shape will really look like if the demo can't be modified?

Thanks Valerie, I will check out those brands! When I had on a demo shape I couldn't change the lips..unless I was looking at something wrong. Thank you for the suggestions I will try them out!

Greetings! I have been perusing some shapes recently but all of the shapes I'm finding have huge pouty lips and small eyes that make me look like I'm in the throes of anaphylaxis. Get the epinephrine! And because the demos are no mod I have no idea if I will be able to modify out that look. Does anyone have any recommendations on a shape that will not make me look like I need to be rushed to the emergency room? Thanks! Ruby

Actually every alt you have, if you pay to go premium, gets the same benifits. My main and my alt are both premium and get the same bonuses, stipends, and ability to buy land.

Greetings! I am wondering if there is an easy, sweeping way to relink a build. I have a structure that I have unlinked in order to retexture part of it. In order to relink it I have to highlight every piece, which is 86 pieces...invariably I keep missing some. Is there any easier way to relink a structure? Thanks!
