  1. Before you ask this is a PAID position. Tara's Creations is a huge design house which has been in SL for years (previously under the name of TNC - Totally Naughty Clothes). To give you an idea on the size the MP has over 6500 items listed. What your qualifications should be: ★ Fashion Savvy ★ Understand Mesh & Classic Clothing (including appliers) ★ Have contacts in the Blogging and Group industry of SL ★ Understand Marketing & PR in SL ★ At least 2 years in SL (that is the absolute minimum) ★ Creative thinking out of the box for PR & Marketing What you ne
  2. A few years ago, along with TNC - Totally Naughty Clothes, I opened and ran a fairly successful Woman's Lounge called Woman-2-Woman. The group still exists and after coming back to SL and opening up Tara's Creations I have also decided to try and reopen the lounge as well. (You are welcome to check the success of Tara's Creations on the MP or InWorld). This is not a hook-up club, nor a dating club. It is meant for serious issues in a wonderful fun environment. This is the basic idea behind Woman-2-Woman This is a paid position, and is not related to selling clothing in Tara's
  3. Over a period of 8 years I have been able to watch LL make decisions, improvements, mistakes and do some fairly stupid things. I cannot make any claim as to why they decided on the up in fees for transactions, though the Sansar debacle may be more to the point. The fact is this new fee structure is simply price-gouging. I don't know any other way to say it. Years ago I owned a huge design house in SL. Then the fees were decent and every month I was able to pull out USD from Lindens at fair fees. But then there were 80K people on the grid at good times and the selling market was good.
  4. Here is my take on enhanced listings, my own 2 cents after years of being a designer in SL. This is a personal evaluation based on my number crunching as Dakota Linden said. I have flirted and still do with Enhanced Listings. Home Page, Category Page --> you name it. This is what I found (again based on years of doing this) 1. Like anything else in SL there may be absolutely no correlation between what you advertise and what is purchased. Keep in mind a potential customer may click on the advertised item, look at the related items and start going from there. There is no way to tra
  5. I just saw this topic and it has been something I have been thinking and wondering about for quite some time. I have no idea if I am a "relevant" or "irrelevant" merchant as some people have called them in this post. I think all merchants trying to sell something on the MP or in-world are relevant in their own way. People buy what they wish to buy in the MP and in SL itself. This may be considered to be off-topic or not, but I do not think this is entirely a problem of MP, in listing of freebies. The fact is, I think any clothing designer will admit to, is there has been for quite some time,
  6. Sedi I will contact you in-world, but the response so far in less than a week to Woman-2-Woman has been amazing.
  7. I certainly respect your right to an opinion on the topic, but I was not aware that this was a post to request open debate as to whether one likes the idea or does not like it. There are hundreds of online Web, Facebook and LinkedIn groups devoted to women's topics only. Why? Because these are considered invaluable to women looking for information, say on Breast Cancer or on Women in the job place. For someone who owns a company called "Mommy, Inc." well I think that speaks for itself, unless I woke up in a universe where Males suddenly started giving birth. And in this case, it is very clea
  8. "Woman-2-Woman" is for all women, no matter of race, creed, religion or sexual preference - heterosexual or lesbians, vanilla or hard BDSM, it does not matter. "Woman-2-Woman" is a group and lounge for women. We also have lectures & talks on women's topics in the "Woman-2-Woman" Lounge. This is a place to chat, discuss and dance in a group environment about anything you like with friends and others - Educational & Social. REAL WOMAN ISSUES. Serious and funny. No drama, no fees - a public service. Woman-2-Woman is not a dance club nor any other sort of bal

  10. Wow if not for this post I would never have known about that GOTCHA! Amazing this is not documented anywhere, or was not when they put up DD. Figures...just figures.
  11. I read the posts here again and I am a bit amazed at the standards you are holding up a search engine built by LL. For those of you who ever did a search on Google or any search engine, even Google will admit 90% of the answers have nothing to do with the term you entered or the information you require. So you will say here, that the Keywords determine it all. Simply NOT true. Folks, any search engine, take Amazon for instance, uses "Categories" & "Search Keywords" plus information in the description their engine flags as "unique" or "special". Books can end up in categories they were nev
  12. As a merchant I will say abusing keywords is a pain when you are looking for something. But people, please bear in mind that you have no idea what keywords the merchant is using, and it could be it is not the merchant's fault but that of the system that throws up unrelated material. Just because we type in a specific search parameter and get items that don't belong does not always mean it is coming from the merchant. It may be coming from the system itself. So you really have to be careful "reporting". The system as well is very puritan. For instance if you write "open top which covers up the
  13. Unlike others here I migrated over 4,500 items. I did this because of the original cutoff dates and since Passover starts on Friday and will not be able to do it for 2 -3 weeks I figured no matter what I need to get it done. It took a lot more time than it should due to the slowness of the web site. But due to a suggestion from Darrius Gothly and some, let us say, workarounds on my part I got it done. Everything is listed as DD and when people buy I do get paid now. The only thing that seems to happen, or happened, as it is not happened in a couple of days, is a customer bought an item, got it
  14. I just had a customer complain she was charged twice for an item from MP. Sure enough I looked up orders and at the exact same minute the customer was charged twice for the exact same item. So I paid her back for one and told myself let LL have the comission rather than deal with it. Then I go look at my transactions and discover there is no payment to me for the item, and went back to look the day before for orders and discover the same thing. In other words LL is being paid and the Merchant is not. Also this is not a Unicode problem. You would think they could at least get that one right!
  15. There is a real simple way around this. Artizan has a product, when you box an item, you put in a script with a config card. When the customer opens the box, it asks 1 time and 1 time only (script self-deletes once the box is rezzed) if the customer wants to join X group. Their is even a hook in for Smartbots so if they do join the group it is your SL group. The script self deletes so it is not spam, and the text of the message to the client is what you put in the config card. Works well. And gives the customer the chance to join. They do not want to join, they click Decline the script deletes
