With a lot of the talk about this centering around DJ’s, you don’t even need to make any changes for them to make what ever amount they like. Just change the Cover: Free to Cover: 5000L$.

That could be a bit low but it will give you a pretty good idea of how higher prices will be viewed and you don’t need to change Second Life at all.

I think clothing needs to be deleted, completely, all of it, banned from existence.

The way the clothing works for each individual avatar body is rather sad, just delete all clothing until items can be made to fit all avatars, make an item and it fits everyone, then bring clothing back.

But until then ban all clothing in Second Life!

And because that will never happen... ban all clothing Permanently!

My inventory hovers around the 11,000 to 12,000 mark, which isn't huge but my ambition is always to get it below 10,000.

The one big thing that would make my use of inventory easier would be to allow sub-folders in "My Outfits". That used to be possible - I still have a few subfolders as proof, but it's not possible any more.

I have seen this complaint a number of times, easy solution is to make another folder My Outfits Organized, or what ever, so they are next to each other.
When you make an outfit just drag it from My Outfits to My Outfits Organized and make all the folders you like. I’ve been doing this for years and it helps organize my outfits I create.

That people want redelivery  these days is one more reason why I only sell on the marketplace.

I don’t know anything about it, maybe someone in the know can comment. But on one store on Marketplace it said, redelivery available for 30 days only. Is it something you can turn on and off, do you need to pay extra for it?

  5. Okay, not going to leave a review. Not sending a note card, although I have had fantastic success with note cards, some creators will bend over backwards to help if there is a legitimate  problem, I doubt a timed demo would be seen as their problem.

Marketplace or in world store? I shop Marketplace, I wear the Tonic Fine body, only. Shopping in world it takes to much time just to locate what I can wear, if there is any clothing at all for Tonic in the store. With Marketplace I can search “tonic” and get well over 100K hits in apparel, then take my time looking.
For a long time I attempted to follow links on Marketplace to shop in world, after falling out of the sky, rezzing in an empty field, rezzing in someones bedroom, I have all but given up shopping in world, unless I have shopped the store before and know they support Tonic Fine and their clothing fits without clipping. Auto alpha is an automatic no sale! If it needs an alpha, it doesn’t fit, period.

Did not expect my rant to hit a nerve.

  6. Why do creators put a very short time on a demo.

I just tried on a skirt and as soon as I put it on chat said I have 300 seconds for the demo. I took it off right away, 5 seconds maybe, did not even get a good look at the skirt but I needed to put on my dance HUD and change my top.  When I put the skirt back on the time had already gone don to 270 seconds, WHAT?
I put it on and took it off several times as I tried different tops and to short of time watching a dance to see how it fit and if it will clip when I move, but I just gave up and did not buy the skirt.

My question is, what kind of rating do I give it, 1 star because I have no idea if I can use it or not and the mean policy the store has on demos, definitely not 4 or 5 stars, I have no idea how it will fit with things I would like to wear with it or if it will clip with a dance I like. And it looked like the time was going away faster than I was wearing it, that is when I just gave up.

I thought 10 minutes was in poor taste and just mean, but 5 minutes is like the creator is telling me, get out of my store and don’t buy any of my items, well okay, I’m gone! Keep your skirt, and its not like the creator “created” the skirt, it was a full permission copy they added texture to. I’ll go to another store and buy it there or even just buy the full permission skirt and have fun playing with it.

It just seams counterintuitive to make it as difficult as possible for a customer to try a demo.

Second Life is difficult, but something as simple as Add/Wear is not even part of the problem. There are so many things that are difficult to use that if you made it simple you would be left with an on/off button.

I personally depend on Wear and use it daily, successfully, have for years, its one of those things that just works!

Its like so many things, so many, in SL, you just need to learn how to use it.

I'm unclear why this is superior to simply taking home a demo?

Simple example: when I try on a new dress -- which is frequently with clubbing in mind -- I like to run the demo through a few dances to see if or how it "breaks" when subjected to dance moves. There are things I haven't bought simply because they looked good while standing still, but fell apart while dancing.

Just a simple Like isn’t good enough for this one.

If I can’t take home a demo there is no chance of a sale.

I also dance to test fit of clothing, really works well for testing the fit.

I just want to address this. This is not how any crypto works, at all. As i said, decentralization here means that no single or handful of (what you call) "crypto-gangsters" can change the rules of the game. again, because there is no single point of attack. A set of rules is agreed upon by the network of said currency. No single individual can simply change how it works to benefit themselves.

As i'm sure you've gathered by now. I'm way into it all and i could be considered as one of those types that once you get me going on this topic, i won't shut up easily about it. Sorry, but i didn't start this thread, lol. It is however a tad frustrating to read these misconceptions. It's sad, but understandable since it is fairly new. If you wanna learn more about it, honestly, feel free to hit me up. Red pill Blue pill type of deal, you know :)

And if you don’t like the rules then you make your own.

Don’t know who you trust but looking at currency.com there are “according to data from CoinMarketCap, there are currently more than 13,506 in existence. {crypto} New tokens are popping up all the time “

I don’t trust that there are so many of them.

In the last iteration of search the results did not page, you could scroll up and down looking at the results. Now it pages and when you go back a page it goes to the top of the page. So when looking at results that span two pages you don’t even come close to seeing the group you are looking at.

And, when in the old version I could open two different selections, one above those of interest and one below those of interest and then scroll up and down to see all in between. With the paging of the output that can’t be done any more and makes it a lot harder to look at any group of items in the results. It really stinks.

I could have missed it but, does the new company have other investments in the Adult Industry? Or will they come in and “clean it up”?

Will their board be okay with, and we now have this porn sight, because that is how SL is viewed by many. It could be a thorn in their side that they don’t understand yet.

I have been wondering what brought on the change to Search in world, up until recently you got a face full of Adult ads as soon as you opened Search, but that changed (for the better as I see it) a few weeks ago. Has the “clean it up” already started?

Why bother "finding" out who is behind it? Just move on..  They are back up put your pitchforks away.

I don’t like the head, from what I have been able to do with it so far, but…

I will not put my pitchfork away, for someone to be able to just put another company out of business, even for a short time, for no reason at all and have no repercussions is pretty sad. I will not do business with Genus but I will support them being in business. I look at this as a total fail on the part of LL.

  13. This has been talked about and talked about but I still don’t understand. And instead of starting yet another conversation I will just ask a simple question... do I need a system skin to use BoM?

My skin is an applier and I can’t get BoM to work with it and still use system clothing with BoM.

I’m not buying any skin in the foreseeable future, so am I dead in the water as far as BoM is concerned?

I'm impressed that you got your helicopter working.  I never managed to get a single vehicle to work in the old continent. I've never visited that teahouse!

I live in Belli and thought I would get a car to drive around. Every time I crossed a region it takes a nose dive into the ground to the point that only the rear bumper is showing, then slowly pops up and starts going again. If I try to go slow it rolls over and plays dead.

My alt has a home in Meadowbrook and has never had a problem with anything, ever.

I love my house in Belli, its very pretty, but I live in my sky box so I don’t need to deal with the small rooms, I would love to see the Meadowbrook open floor plan in Belli, that would be ideal.
