Hi, I am looking for script which allows to display several chosen videos from youtube. Urls can be written in script. So no local chat reading, no note card reading just simple playing eg 3 videos in the loop. I started to play with available TV scripts but I stuck. Maybe someone who is more experienced can suggest solution.

All you need is a parcel. You can set your own skybox on your own. The parcel in case of photo studio shouldn't be smaller than 1024 m2. You have several options: - you can buy a Premium account and you will be able to buy parcel on mainland. You can rent a parcel from Linden Lab directly in this case. On mainland there is no covenant so you do what you want. You can set the skybox as high as you want. Remember about ratings. If you plan to take snapshots which are adult content you can't set a studion on General area. - without Premium acount you can rent a parcel from other Resident. You have to learn what covenant includes. Probably you have to look for commercial areas. You need to check if you can set skybox and if photo studio is allowed. Remember that evey month you pay tier for the land to Linden Lab or to other Resident. You can build simple skybox on your own. You can also see what skybox are available on Marketplace.

N30 is a good choice. Hovewer first of all check how many prims it has and check if there are needed prims on yor parcel. Remember that you can need more prims if you decide to set a scene (furinture etc). Skybox is a good idea because there should be less lag.

If you are interested in development of immersive virtual world you can keep an eye also on Kinect development. Personally I think that in 10 years time we will not be wondering about move, vision and helmets but about taste in wirtual world.

As far as I know there is no access for parcel owner to mainland estate menu. In 2.x viewer you can see the scripts which are on parcel. You can see top scripts for parcel there. However you will not see all tops scripts for island in that case. Edit You can still see how many scripts are on the sim by pressing Ctrl + Shift + 1. However no top scripts.

Hi, Photogrphers have in Second Life great environment to play with graphic. You have made good choice! Do you know any of graphic programs? If not remember that there is free Gimp (http://gimp.org). Inworld you have several choices: - you can use free studios which are available for all - it is good for beginning, because you can also think longer about your needs before you set your own studio, - you can make natural pics - snapshots without any studio - just to see how Windlight settings works and get use to controls in Second Life - this is an option if you don't know gimp or photoshop or other graphic program very well, - you can start your studio - there is a huge choice of studios and the price range is 500 L$ - 12 000 L$. Actually the most important is white wall and pose stand. However the most sophicistated studios have wide range of options what makes taking snaphots in Second Life more fun.. If you prefer to work offline with graphic program there is no need for huge studio. If you prefer to work inworld and play with available resoursces (particles, textures, light) you may think about big studio. You may see at Marketplace what studios are available. Have a look at Flickr what the best SL photographers do. You can visit their studios and see what are the resources for the best pictures in Second Life. Hi, If I understand well the magic box os on the land you have rented. I am not sure what you are asking about. 1. What group should be the magic box set to? - It should be set to group that allowes to use scripts on the parcel that you have rented (we are not talking about deed). 2. What group should you create? It depends. If land is already set to group and you are not parel owner you don't need to create a new group. If you are the owner of the land and there are going to be more users you can create the group and set the land for the group. You can also think about creating the group for your customers. That should be completly other group than the group for land. Remember that new group should have at least two members otherwise it is delated after 24 hours automatically.

As far as I know you can't use Dashboard for paying money to other Resident. I haven't seen such an option. You can send objects which are transferrable to your alt but only when you are in Second Life. Have you tried Metabolt? METAbolt is a thin text client with rich features to enable users to perform most important functions in SL. It is available here.

Hi, Welcome to Second Life Answers. What message do you get? Maybe the object that you want to rez has over 120 prims? Or maybe you have already used the available prims?

Try to attach them and later you can delate them from Inventory.

It may be so called "ghost prim". Only restart can help. If it is private estate contact with the owner.

Hi Helis, Welcome to Second Life Answers. What viewer do you use? Did you tried to relog and groups still are not back? What message do you get when you try to teleport?

Have you checked your Lost&Found folder? Have you cleard cache first? Were the rabbit set on group and were they transferable?

Hi Ivanda, I am sorry to hear about your issues. There is no central customer organization in virtual worlds as there are some in different countries where you can get help and support. As was already told Linden Lab will not involve in disputes between Residents. However please keep in mind that Linden Lab already have much work with keeping an eye on TOS rules. Fortunatly the money lost is usually not huge. However the emotional lost is sometimes hard to estimate. So... I have noticed imporant thing in Second Life. Because the risk is very high people start to ask about opinion about shops and merchants first. The word of mouth marketing works very well and very ofthen these are only satisfied customers. So people start to buy only when they look at opinions at Marketplace carefuly and ask other customers in groups. Every good shop has its own group where chat is available. I think that in the future the awarness of customer rights will grow and the way how customers are treated is/will be one of success factors for merchants. You have written about agent. I am not sure if it means owner of that website. Sometimes people hire employees who are not ready to deal with customers. Everyone can make a mistake. You should talk directly to the owner of the service. If you are long term customer you can write in a note card how much you have spent, what is your opinion and what issues you have noticed and how the service can be improved. And of course you have right to ask about taking the ban off. It doesn't matter if the opinion is on website or sent via note card, right? Actually you need to know what do you want. Do you want the money back? Do you want just to express your opinion and be heard? Do you want to help with service improvement? Remember that many people in vrtual worlds have not much in common with being merchant in first life. So their knowledge with customer service, especially not satisfied customer service is none. Of course there is second side of the problem. Some think that there always will be new customer who will buy the product because of huge Residents rotation. In this case that is merchant strategy. This is why long term Residents ask first around about the quality of service, spend money very carefuly and also keep on coming back to the same merchants. And these merchants win because service for satisfied customers is less time/energy consuming and they get free marketing via word of mouth.

He may fill in the ticket but he will be asked about account details. Most people type in security password randomly and can't remember it later.

Your concerns are normal and you are not only one. At the moment you can test mesh on Aditi (beta grid). You probably already know about it but I prefer to mention this possibility. Second Life is constantly improving. From my experience people want the best quality and if mesh can provide better quality this is the direction that peoples' interest will grow. There are many signals that creators hold on and work already with meshes. That can mean also that at the beginning there will be high level and in short time many mesh items will be introduced. The new solutions always win attention at the beginning so many creators keep that in mind. There were such cases already in Second Life history: - flexi prims, - sculpts. Looking into the past you can see some implications for mesh in the future. You can decide to deal with mesh in Second Life later when many Residenst will be able to see mesh obejcts or at the beginning. All depends on your long term strategy as creator.

Hi, It is great that you are interested in creation in Second Life! Yes, you can preview your creations for free on beta grid called Aditi. At the moment you can even preview mesh there. The files for mesh are Collada files (.dae). If you want to import mesh you need to find Mesh sandbox on Aditi. You can sell your creations on Marketplace. You can adjust prim to avatar and the position of prims will be the same when other person attach it. However please keep in mind that you will have to deal with scripts also eg scripts for resize or color change. There are ready scripts for creators to buy but you need to check it. When all is ready you just pack it into one prim/box and sell it at Marketplace. The person who buys it unpack the box and have all prims in one folder and can attach them. I highly recommend to see Torley's tutorials about Second Life on youtube. There are also very well organized help groups for builders. I would recommend Builders Brewery. In your case you will be much more developed in 3D design but you will lack of basic information about creation in Second Life. You can catch up with tutorials available on youtube. You should also love SL wiki available here.
