  1. OK DragonFan, I have read some of your posts in other strings so can see better how your mind functions. But I will still respond to your last post here. *smiles* 1. There seems to be some confusion for you regarding the difference between fantasy medieval roleplay and realistic medieval roleplay themes. The words "Medieval" and "Renaissance" refer to periods in history. And I can safely promise you that if you time traveled back to the medieval or renaissance periods, you would find no talking dragons nor any anthropomorphic creatures. And it's OK. It really is. Talking dragons are very nice. I am quite fond of them at times. But, Wystenra has a great scenario focusing on realism. 2. We never said we were better than anyone else. Just that our roleplay and roleplayers are splendid. And, as the sim owner said, different roleplays with different story parameters appeal to different people. It allows something for almost everyone in SL. Some people want to sprinkle some fantasy into period roleplay. And some people just want to roleplay historic periods as they really were. And that's OK. It really is. *smiles*
  2. It is a realistic roleplay. (note the description above, lol) So, no, it does not include furries, nekos, fantasy creatures such as vampires or lycans in the RP as there were no such creatures in reality in renaissance Europe. And this particular sim is not involved with Hastings Place or whatever you're talking about. Thus, voiding all of your arguments, Wystenra is still a damned good renaissance RP. And honestly, with all the drama going on in 1504 in Europe -- soon after the death of the Borgia pope -- there was plenty of intrigue, lust, love, danger and joy to work out on a basic human level to which most anyone can relate while dabbling in history. So, yes fantasy sims are great and fine for people who want that. But we are probably one of the few medieval/renaissance sims that focus on realism.
  3. Political intrigue and conflict. Sensuality and humor! Embark on a quest for power or live a simple village life in gorgeous Wystenra, an immersive castle and village roleplay. Our exciting Renaissance setting strives for realism: from corrupt power plays to benign day-to-day living. In our full immersion roleplay, you can be any manner of nobility: local or foreign. You can be a commoner: merchant, tradesman or artisan. You can be a gypsy at our ready-made camp in the woods! You can also earn a knighthood in the Order of the Sapphire Sash. Besides great roleplay with many lovely ladies, we are organizing knights to participate in sparring and jousting tournaments! Recently re-founded, Wystenra reflects the intrigue and devilish fun in "The Tudors" or "Borgia" TV dramas. Its fantastic build includes the king's intricately laid out palace and village level and another duchy level with a castle, village, farm and the gypsy camp. So ... Think "The Tudors." Think "Borgia." Think damned good roleplay. And come see us. Contact Uri Jefferson or Moonshadow Landar. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Wystenra/123/127/3501
  4. Wystenra is organizing its knightly warriors! The Order of the Sapphire Sash in Wystenra needs honorable (or not-so-honorable) men to defend Wystenra's honor! Do so while earning your way into that chivalric brotherhood. Hone your skills in sparring and jousting tournaments for hefty purses! And a key place in our role play. Recently re-founded, Wystenra reflects the intrigue and devilish fun in the Tudors or Borgia Tv shows. We are an immersive castle and village Renaissance sim, also looking for more nobles and village commoners! Come see us and our new Tudor-style palace! 6. Good question. Having belly dancing presented to middle- and upper-class ladies as therapy in a private sanitariuum situation would be much less fantastical than having a winged fairy or someone in a Coldplay T-shirt and mini-skirt stroll through its hallways. That is mainly what I mean by realistic. It is feasible. And yeah we do anticipate that some of our roleplayers will handle that suituation as they think apprpropriate for their characters -- they may be appalled or dismissive of it, reluctantly join in since it is a private health facility or they might happily and curiously participate. They will be presented with that situation and roleplay it out, which is the fun of making up stories as you go. If you think having high society ladies simply being presented with an unsavory topic is not realistic, consider how unbelievable to us a lot of the stuff Victorians did back then. The whole making a woman reach paroxysm because she's feeling off that day is just the tip of the iceberg. Thank you for your question.
  7. The Victorian Corrective Spa seeks a cultural instructor, as well as more doctors, more patients, groundskeepers, handymen and maids. Roleplay a bit of history with some value-added adult play. Our setting is a sanitarium for female hysteria nestled in upstate New York. We are fully immersive, adult and realistic. Like other roleplays are based on fiction or myths, our go-to canon is the actual sometimes odd stuff about late 19th-Century people. We would like an instructor character to provide recreational therapy with regular classes on things like belly dancing to teach our patients on the ways of other women outside of their own stuffy, well-to-do worlds. Come for a visit and help build the community. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Coimbra%20Beach/61/84/3226

  9. Come try one of the most unique adult roleplays in SL: It is 1894 in upstate New York. Ladies are being sent to the Victorian Corrective Spa sanitarium to be treated for “hysteria” (a very common diagnosis given for ladies for being odd in some way). The treatment is quite adult and sometimes has BDSM overtones. But we have great stories, solid roleplay and historical realism that made that period so ... well, strange in some ways. We are fantasy free because people had issues enough anyway. Come see us. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Coimbra%20Beach/61/84/3226
  10. We have one of the most unique adult roleplay ideas in SL: Late 19th century upstate New York. Ladies, usually upper crust, are being sent to Dr. Bellogg’s Victorian Corrective Spa, an out-of-the-way sanitarium where the staff treats “hysteria” (a very common diagnosis given for ladies in some way off kilter). The treatment is quite adult with a strong focus on solid roleplay. We are recruiting patients, doctors, nurses and general staff. We are available to Victorian couples as well. Amd we're probably the only 19th century full-immersion sim on SL not focusing on steampunk, grunge or gothic fantasy. We do our best to be realistic. Who needs to make up anything with all the bizarre-to-us stuff the Victorians were up to already, anyway? Casually sending their wives and daughters off to be induced to orgasm by some doctor. Allowing electricity to flow through their bodies for kicks and experiments. No sooner than they had a battery, they invented the vibrator. Also, the Spa is based in upstate New York -- not the Old West or England, upon which you see most 19th century eyes trained. So come to the Spa and roleplay a realistic piece of the 19th century. Yes it is a very adult place with some BDSM, but we focus strongly on great roleplay and stories as much as any other full immersion sim. 11. WE HAVE MOVED TO http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Coimbra%20Beach/61/84/3226 The diagnosis of "female hysteria" was rampant in the 19th century. And the Victorian Corrective Spa is committed to treating this dreadful condition. Our immersive adult roleplay, set in 1894 at an upstate New York sanitarium, seeks role players who can churn out some great RP -- erotic and otherwise -- while weaving their characters into our story arcs.We need doctors, patients and other appropriate roles for some great RP while having plenty of "fun" in the process. The extent of your participation is up to you. We are available for Victorian couples as well. 13. I know this is a very old string, but I would like to mention the Victorian Corrective Spa to whoever is still interested. We are almost two months old and, though the subject matter is erotic, we have a very strong focus on roleplay and full Victorian era immersion.
