  1. Why exactly am I going to Reno in April? I don't even LIKE Reno!
  2. Would it make you laugh if I came out with a line of breedable genitals?
  3. Just remember, if your supplies don't include guns and ammo, you're just gathering supplies for someone else.
  4. No, the universe is a particularly bad acid trip God has been on for 15 billion years.
  5. So, basically, if I want to get your pants off, watch a Star Wars flick with you. Thanks for the tip 😛
  6. This bit of dark humour seemed oddly timely, and made me feel better:
  7. No I have far worse qualities than generally voting GOP (although not always, I voted Nader in 2004, and I have yet to vote for anyone named Trump). You just haven't gotten to know me very well yet 😛
  8. Gotta say, I was hugely disappointed in The Big Lebowski. It had funny moments, but, all in all, just...dumb. More gratuitous nudity would have helped.
  9. You left out the part where he is supposedly EGYPTIAN with that accent! Highlander, definitely one of my all time faves. I just got done going through the video and what struck me the most is the irony of him starting off by saying there's sooooo much talent in Hollywood and then basically saying that all these top name movies stars don't really act. So, basically there isn't much actual talent in Hollywood, writers just create Denzel or Bruce Willis characters.
  10. Don't make fun. I only engage in coitus on days the Flying Spaghetti Monster declares propitious.
  11. I should not pick on people for tl/dr - I'm way too verbose myself.
  12. hmmm come to think of it the "butter beans" look like a bean I use in chili (I use 4 different beans, chili is only made in huge quantities in the Ugajin household). Perhaps it is the same bean, but picked at different times - sort of like with grapes for wine. Of course, in my chili, all you can really taste is the pain of your mouth being on fire...
  13. You know, for the longest time this was always my knock on Tom Cruise - race car driver, secret agent, cocktail slinger, flyboy - all just Tom Cruise doing a different profession. Then he did that samurai movie, and I was like, "Hey, Tom Cruise can actually play someone who is not Tom Cruise".
  14. When it comes to legumes, classify me as an atheist.
  15. Never had succotash, and since it contains lima beans, it is classified as toxic waste.
  16. The only thing on your list that is a peeve of mine is the fancy fonts. In addition to being an eye sore, they make searching for the person harder when I need to ban them. Stupidity, willful ignorance, and arrogance are my main pet peeves, especially in combination. Superficial things tend to not bother me. And lima beans. Definitely lima beans.
  17. So, what you are saying in far more words than necessary and which we all already know, is that people approach and view life differently, whether it be first or second life, and it is hard to have a productive relationship with someone with a very different world view. Thank you for the insight.
  18. Well, I'm marrying (RL) my SL partner, whom I met here, and 2 of our SL friends were scheduled to attend the wedding (matron of honor and bridesmaid) before Covid crashed the party. So, yeah, I'd say I do.
  19. I'm working from home for at least 3 more weeks. I got a call from one of our factories at 6:45 AM about someone saying they didn't want to work because Covid. Answered it in bed. Grabbed the laptop to look at a document the call was about. Next thing you know, it's 8:45, I'm in the living room with my first cup of coffee, on the phone with my boss about a different location, and casually mention I'm not even dressed yet it's been so many calls and emails. He says, "that's nothing, I haven't even had my first cup of coffee yet." I told him to call me back after he had coffee and hung up on him. I'm pretty sure working without coffee is against the Geneva Convention.
  20. lol try cashing your paycheck without the admin staff. Accounting: We count it all and tell you we can't afford to spend any of it. Sales: We spend it all and blame marketing when we don't sell anything. Marketing: We could sell more if only we had a bigger budget. Legal: YOU CAN'T DO THAT! IT: I'm sorry, the system won't do that. Customer Service: I'm sorry, I don't do that, let me transfer you. Production: Sorry, I'm on my break. Service: Sorry, we'll need to order a part. Maintenance: Sorry, we can't fix that in-house. HR: We're only here because the rest of the children can't behave. Management: We're at an off-site meeting.
  21. Tonight was a can of Campbells soup (canned soup is a great option for emergency food supplies) with half of one of those small loaves of French bread (slices about 1" thick, buttered, garlic salt, oregano, pepperjack cheese, heated at 350 for about 5-6 minutes, then broiled for about 2) with milk. One of my favorite meals, actually.
  22. Problem 1: Don't believe any data out of China. It's well known that they falsify pretty much anything they say about their country. Problem 2: Don't believe anything from the UN. After all, some of the biggest human rights abusers are on...their Human Rights Commission.
  23. Binge watch every Star Trek Series. At 8-9 hours per day, it'll take about 3 weeks
  24. Fear is normal. Fear in proportion to the risk is healthy. Unreasoned fear is dangerous. Take control of you emotions and your situation, do not let them control you. Unless you are in a high risk group, the chance of dying if you get it is about the same as a moderately dangerous hobby, such as sky diving. You'll be fine. If you are in a high risk group, and catch it, you still have a fairly low chance of death - roughly the same as surviving a moderate car accident while wearing your seat belt and your airbag working. And, you have MANY things you can do to avoid the accident, or the virus. Wash your hands frequently and stop licking things, for instance. I'm more fearful for my mom (77, just got over cancer for the second time a year ago) and grandma (106). All I (or you) can do is to keep away from them until this is over, and help make sure they are taking precautions.
