  1. You can see their last log in date if you belong to the same group - it will show there under the members tab. Other than that I don't know of a way to track someone else's time spent in SL.
  2. Have you tried this? USING THE PREVIEW GRID TO RECOVER LOST INVENTORY If you realize that you have missing inventory, you can try this tip. Follow the steps below as soon as possible: Login to the Preview Grid and find a quiet place where no one will annoy you while you are trying to solve a problem. Steps to login to the Preview Grid: Open Second Life client, but do not log in. At the login window, press Control-Shift-G to bring up the "grid selector" box. Should show 'agni'. Select "Aditi" from the drop-down box. The menu-bar should turn Red, and the background image will change. DO NOT REZ ANYTHING WHILE ON THE PREVIEW GRID. GO INTO BUSY MODE IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT ACCEPT ITEMS, DO NOT DELETE ITEMS, DO NOT PASS OR RENAME ITEMS. Open your inventory, type in a search term and allow your inventory to populate. Got your goods back? Awesome! Quit the viewer, login to the Main Grid (change the grid name in the login window back to Agni) and do the same thing. Once you have retrieved your items on the Main Grid and your inventory has fully populated, logout and cache your inventory. Log back into the Main Grid, recheck inventory. You should find everything has returned to normal. Enjoy your Second Life! This technique has been proven to work more than half the time so it may save your hide. Please bear in mind that you should only expect positive results if you attempt this workaround as soon as possible upon discovery of your missing items. This is NOT a guarantee that you will be able to recover your items but having at least a chance at doing so is much better than no chance at all. I hope this helps some of the Residents that fall victim to this issue.
  3. I think there are alot of options from what I have seen on some fashion blogs that are directed towards men. I would recommend "shopping" via these blogs then gather the slurls and go look in world - always try the demos first until you have the combination of shape/skin that pleases you. Here are some suggestions: http://www.second-man.com/ http://www.slmen.com/ http://ffform.blogspot.com/
  4. Hi Larryk, I just thought I would let you (and perhaps others) that there is something very much like this available in SL - and its free. Take a look.. https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=1136521
  5. laughs... oki yes, you have to really like her ass to be able to bring it off with sincerity or - really care about her enuf not to hurt her feelings if she is feeling good about herself... or suggest another skirt/outfit that truly is flattering without telling her why... i know we are complicated... but NOT that complicated, smiles
  6. Ooooof - Eternus you should know the correct answer/comeback is always ALWAYS "no babe, you look hot" Duh!
  7. For best results play with all those settings (saddlebags, hip width and butt size) around the hips/butt until you are happy with the look (when i finally learned this trick it saved half my inventory of system skirts i thought were unwearable - and there was one gown I deleted that I will never be able to get back ). Spread the word - there are far too many women that haven't heard about the "system skirt shape" trick!

    viever?

Hi Ellaa, Try using the cool viewer, i think the version is called the "legacy" I use that on my old laptop and it works oki - i can't stay on sl for very long even with that viewer. If you are able to log on turn all your graphics settings to the lowest possible settings. You might also want to look into a text based viewer if you just want to be able to talk to friends. Unfortunately with each new viewer LL seems to be making things more and more difficult for those of us with older, non-gaming machines. So the best advice is to save your pennies for a new computer if you really want to enjoy all that SL has to offer. Here's a link to LL's list of 3rd party viewers - you will see the link to the Cool Viewer there. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Alternate_viewers#Third-party_Viewers good luck
  9. ROFL - please try not to make anyone spill their whine wine!! Message was edited by: Jessika Rang for umm spelling
  10. I usually figure $260L per $1 - but it varies quite a bit - use the links provided by Cinnamon to check the raite at any given time. When selling Lindens you can also specify the rate you would like to get. If you make the rate too high they will sit unsold for quite awhile.
  11. I'll admit, I've never seen it... never even noticed it in the library! Very curious to rez one when I get inworld.
  12. The answer above is correct. I also find it works best to click at the base of the tree trunk (not the leaves and branches). BTW not all of the Linden trees and shrubs are ugly and the benefit of them is that they only count as 1 prim on your land.
  13. CHHHHHAAAAACHING!!! on my way to my first stick of gum!
  14. ABC (Already Been Chewed) gum?!?!?! Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I drunk you are thinker than i thought!
  15. Well! Today I was perusing the website here and clicked on the World Map tab at the top - for the first time lol. Anyway I decided to check out Art Box one of the highlighted places there - really fun expecially if you like to take photo's. The idea is that you inserrt yourself into a famous picture (either fine art/pop art/album covers/movie posters) its a blast!
  16. One thing that worked for me in the past is walking into another region or sim and then teleporting to where i want to go. Or if you are crashing try changing the location of your login... here's instructions on how to do it: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Changing_your_login_location
  17. Dracona there is hope for your laptop, you do not necessarily have to buy a new one... try looking at other viewers especially the legacy viewer from cool viewer here is a link: http://sldev.free.fr/ or check thru this wiki for other optional viewers: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Alternate_viewers#Third-party_Viewers I think you should be able to find something that will run well on your laptop as long as it isn't 6 years old like mine lol. good luck! Message was edited by: Jessika Rang - Oh and these viewers are current with the Adult option... they just dial down graphics, again take a look at the "legacy" version of the Cool Viewer
  18. Hi! Look for the "greenhand" logo on your desk top or "secondlife" on your list of programs, double click that then log in on the next screen that opens. Enjoy your Secondlife!
  19. There are also mainland sims that are class 5 - any region created since November of 2006 is on a Class 5 server. This may not be exactly what you are looking for but this wiki has alot of great information about sim performance as a renter I am not sure how much of this information you can access but you can check the sims performance and compare various regions: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Region_Performance_Improvement_Guide and here's another with detailed information about the statistic bar: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Statistics_Bar_Guide Correction - all mainland sims are Class 5 - only an estate manager for a private region has access to the server information. 20. One more thing... clothing can't be "detached" it has to be taken off. So when you look thru inventory at the "worn" items in bold right click them and select "take off" instead of detach. You can also do this from the pie menu when you right click yourself - select "detach all" and/or "take off all clothes".
