I've oinly been using the v3 for a few hours but have no crashed. Upon initial use I was a cloud for a long time, but it resolved itself.. and mesh clothign looks great. HOWEVER. Why is it that when I have my lighting and shadows enabled the transparent SL bald hair base shows through my prim hair?? Also when I take a photo the snapshot window is black. Believe me I wont use anything that messes up muh hairs and what good is lighting and all that crap if I cant take a picture of it...

[Improving our Lines of Communication with the Community]

I am glad to hear LL is taking steps to listen... I doubt they will. The focus groups will be limited to those who have been in SL the longest and have a cap on markets.. Business who are small, trying to start up fighting the search fiasco and trying to keep their heads above water won't have a voice I imagine.

 

However, upon reading the guidlines on proper conduct, I did notice this ...

Personal Information: Sharing someone else’s personal  information—of any kind—is not allowed. Disclosing another Resident’s  real-world identity, contact information, or the text of interpersonal  communications (chat, email, IM) is not allowed.

 

I really wish LL would take a stand on the redzone situation, it started out as maybe a good idea but now people are being falsly acused of being so and so alt and a list is being compiled of users IP, which as far as I know is personal information.... This is being sold and distributed to anyone who wants/can find it.

This is a personal violation of LL TOS as far as I am concerned and although many say they use it for protecting themselves from griefers etc, there are many many more out there who are not using it for this and using it to harrass, stalk or otherwise disrupt a resident second life.

I don't see how LL can allow something to be sold on MP and in world which is a violation of their own TOS....

I just dont get it..

 

But bravo on your effort, as we have all heard pipe dreams before maybe this one will be so....

[Recent Improvements to SL Search]

Why is there now a resident named "Gowns Resident," with account created on 11/19/2010, who shows up first in Search All under a search for "gowns?"

Profile is blank but for the name. Search is performed in a TPV 1.x-based viewer. Is this an LL cludge of some sort, or a new way to use display names or avatars to game the Search system?

(Also now taken/unavailable in account signup: Skin, Skins, dresses, makeup.... do we see a trend here?)

LL...You SERIOUSLY need to look at these sims that are marked G. I have been to SEVERAL that DO have adult content. So, all precautions you have taken to me are NOT protective enough.
