  1. "I don't know who told you that you need a second payment method with PayPal, I don't, never needed one."

Nor did I, it is an either/or thing... paypal is my default method of payment unless I change it to a card, if upon doing so eliminate the card as my payment method... i still have a payment method, that being paypal.

  2. my pleasure  *bows*

The help doesn't stop there though.

Let's say worse case senario... this debit card attempt fails, and for w/e reason you don't want to use your real creditcard info online.  Visa giftcards are unsupported by LL and don't work - last I heard.  However Mastercard VanillaCards (also prepaid giftcards) are not supported but do work as payment method... indeed they are what I use.  They are widely available (ie i get mine from my local 7-11 or any cheque cashing place) and can be purchased in denominations of $25, $50 or $100 and used anywhere any other creditcard is including online.  If that ends up being an option you use just give me a shout for addition info as the need arises.

    Best of luck.

  3. yes debit cards should work... but if you want a speedy reply straight from the source this is the exact thing LL Billing deals with and it's just a phone call:

  4. Supposedly you are informed in writing via email if action is taken against you vis a vis an AR; that said some have posted here saying they can't connect as they've been blocked from accessing the SL servers which has come as a surprise to them.  Whether they just didn't see the email or didn't get one is up for debate, tough to speculate when you don't really know for a fact.

Do you know when someone ARs you - no... if someone does AR a person they wouldn't know until they got the email or were banned upon a successful investigation; upon which time the person banned can appeal.

That said in the ToS it states LL can deny access to anyone, for any reason, or no reason... so in essense LL is under no obligation to inform anyone; something we all agreed to upon creating our accounts.

    Hope this helps explain

  5. "There are no SL mentors anymore.  I just posted a question and had no response, nor help"

No there haven't been mentors in months.  You posted a question, but you didn't mark it as a question... as such it is labelled as a discussion titled "I AM UPSET"

That could be why it got no response; it wasn't marked as a question nor asked anything.

  6. "Gift cards so guessing they don't need a lot of info to buy one..I hope"

    Hello Morrigan

Nope, no info required what-so-ever.  I just grab one off the counter, give it to the clerk, pay for it, the clerk activates it... go to you dashboard and change your payment method to reflect the card and you're good to go.  No questions asked nor any info requested when I'm buying one - they're awesome for anything online, awesome for anything period that takes a credit card.

  7. you don't have much space to include IMs, so filing individually could prove beneficial... include only what is pertanent to whats against the ToS.  Please note LL has chat logs stored on their server to refer to also which they can use for what you cannot include.  As a reference:

The Community Standards sets out six behaviors, the 'Big Six', that will result in suspension or, with repeated violations, expulsion from the Second Life Community.

All Second Life Community Standards apply to all areas of Second Life, the Second Life Forums, and the Second Life Website.

    1. Intolerance

Combating intolerance is a cornerstone of Second Life's Community Standards. Actions that marginalize, belittle, or defame individuals or groups inhibit the satisfying exchange of ideas and diminish the Second Life community as a whole. The use of derogatory or demeaning language or images in reference to another Resident's race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or sexual orientation is never allowed in Second Life.

    2. Harassment

Given the myriad capabilities of Second Life, harassment can take many forms. Communicating or behaving in a manner which is offensively coarse, intimidating or threatening, constitutes unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors, or is otherwise likely to cause annoyance or alarm is Harassment.

    3. Assault

Most areas in Second Life are identified as Safe. Assault in Second Life means: shooting, pushing, or shoving another Resident in a Safe Area (see Global Standards below); creating or using scripted objects which singularly or persistently target another Resident in a manner which prevents their enjoyment of Second Life.

    4. Disclosure

Residents are entitled to a reasonable level of privacy with regard to their Second Life experience. Sharing personal information about a fellow Resident --including gender, religion, age, marital status, race, sexual preference, and real-world location beyond what is provided by the Resident in the First Life page of their Resident profile is a violation of that Resident's privacy. Remotely monitoring conversations, posting conversation logs, or sharing conversation logs without consent are all prohibited in Second Life and on the Second Life Forums.

    5. Adult Regions, Groups, and Listings

Second Life is an adult community, but "Adult" content, activity and communication are not permitted on the Second Life "mainland." Such material is permitted on private regions, or on the Adult Continent, Zindra. In either case, any Adult content, activity, or communication, that falls under our Adult Maturity Definition must be on regions designated as "Adult," and will be filtered from non-verified accounts. Other regions may be designated as either "Mature" or "PG." For more information on how to designate land, events, groups, and classified listings, please carefully read the "Maturity Definitions."

    6. Disturbing the Peace

Every Resident has a right to live their Second Life. Disrupting scheduled events, repeated transmission of undesired advertising content, the use of repetitive sounds, following or self-spawning items, or other objects that intentionally slow server performance or inhibit another Resident's ability to enjoy Second Life are examples of Disturbing the Peace.

  8. you can upload the screenshots by selecting 'file' then 'upload'...

you can only file ARs against individuals, not groups... if they all participated, report them for all actions that went on, include chat if there is any...

tell whomever you pay tiers to what happened, get them banned from the whole sim...

get security for your home so people can't be in your home without your permission.

  9. "i'd actually love to use my 3vcash card but not sure if its supported or not. sending a ticket asking thisdidnt get me anywhere."

No need to submit a ticket, this is one of the things you can phone LL about and ask

  10. Your computer might have what is called a 'dynamic ip address'... it changes.  Sometimes a person who has done no wrong gets the 'you are blocked' error message because your ip address changed by fluke to an ip address that has been banned previously.

Turn your modem off, unplug the wires from the back - leave it like that for 1 minute - plug the wires back in, turn the modem back on, wait for all the lights to stop blinking... once they are settled into a steady glow restart your computer.  This ideally recycles the computer's ip address - and try logging in again.

If that doesn't work, follow the advice given above.  Best of luck!

  11. i'm not as think as you drunk i am.

personally i'd rather use paypal but yeah, having money taken out of my bank account then spending two weeks in limbo until i finally have access to my own money again just isn't workable... i often wonder in this computer-age of instant information what my money is doing during that waiting period.

  12. *waves from BC*

I'd like to use Paypal but being Canadian thus 'international' the waiting time for funds to be transferred from my bank into Paypal is rather quite exteme.

Don't use Visa giftcards, they are unsupported by LL and don't work.

However Mastercard VanillaCards (also pre-paid giftcards) while not supported also do work and are what I use as my payment method, I enter the info and within 1-10mins they are approved, ready for use inworld.  They are widely available (from 7-11, Moneymart, etc) and come in $25, $50, $100 amounts.  If you're looking to use such a thing, that's what i'd recommend.

  13. Try this, and best of luck

Click on the Advanced Menu at the top of the screen. If it is not next to the Help menu, press ctrl+alt+D to make it show

Select Debug settings.....a small window will open. select "RenderUnloadedAvatar" from the drop down box and then set it to "True"
