  2. Here's hoping this Knowledge Base article helps; seems if your graphics card isn't compatible there's no solution posted. Maybe you can change your Display settings. Second Life says it can't run full screen, a specific resolution, or 32-bit color. Unfortunately, this error message usually means your graphics card isn't compatible with Second Life. If you've checked your graphics card and it is compatible, try updating its drivers. If your graphics card is listed as compatible, and you have the latest drivers, try these steps: Check Display settings Right-click any empty space on your desktop and choose Properties. OR, open the Control Panel, then open Display. Click on the Settings tab. The Color Quality box should read Highest (32-bit). If it does not, change it to Highest (32-bit) and click OK. The Resolution should be at least the resolution Second Life is trying to run at. (In most cases, you probably want it higher, like 1024x768 or 1280x1024.) Check Windows Program Compatibility settings Right-click the Second Life Icon and choose Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab. Make sure everything is unchecked.
  3. lol, woot - congrats. A little ps in reply to another question you asked... if you ever have a problem like this, don't delete your account... just create another one, it's allowed. A persons main account is their av (avatar), a persons 'other' account is called an alt - you're allowed more than one. Alt Account FAQ Alternate accounts... multiple identities... We all have them in some way or another. Perhaps in real life you're an entrepreneur in the morning, soccer mom in the afternoon, and vegetarian chef in the evening. In Second Life, you get to externalize these roles in customized, uniquely identifiable personas -- otherwise known as alt accounts. How cool is that? There are great reasons for having more than one account in Second Life, and we like to facilitate these uses. One of the ways we protect these legitimate accounts is by limiting the creation and use of illegitimate alt accounts -- primarily fraudsters and people bent on disruptive behaviors. Below you'll find answers to commonly asked questions. What does it cost to create additional Basic accounts? Your first Basic account is free, and we won't charge you for a few alternate accounts. If we find that you've been creating an army of alts, we may charge a small fee of US$9.95 for the creation of each additional Basic account as a way to recoup some of the cost of maintaining the accounts for you. This is explained further in section 1 of the Second Life Billing Policieshttps://secondlife.com/corporate/billing.php, which are linked to from our Terms of Service. (Note that in the billing policies, "Access Account" means Basic account and a "Subscription Account" means a Premium account.) What if I have a Premium account already? Your first account, paid or not, counts as your free Basic account. The free Basic account is meant as an incentive to new Residents to try Second Life with no associated charges. If you have many accounts already, additional accounts may incur an associated cost for maintenance. How many alts may I have? Currently, you can create as many additional Basic or Premium accounts as you want to pay for, with the following limitations: You can create up to five accounts per household. You can create no more than two accounts in a single 24-hour period. We do require that alt accounts adhere to all of our policies. For example, by agreeing to our Terms of Service (TOS) you agree to provide truthful and accurate information about yourself when you register for accounts -- that includes not only your contact information and real name but also whether this is your first free Basic account or a new alt (see TOS section 2.1). People who do not provide truthful information risk losing their accounts.
  4. You probably read this also, but might as well bounce stuff off the walls and see what sticks - so just in case you didn't know this, from the Knowledge Base inre the error message in specific: Why does Second Life say "Your account is not accessible until (date/time)"? Does the error specifically state that you are already logging in (or out)? If so, this message simply means that Second Life is still attempting to log out your avatar. Close Second Life, wait fifteen minutes, then attempt to log in again. Do not repeatedly attempt to log in! If you keep trying to log in, the process will take longer. Does the error only state Login failed; Your account is not accessible until (date/time)? This error message generally indicates your Second Life account has been administratively blocked. Short-term blocks (less than an hour) may be the result of a kick for inappropriate behavior. Longer blocks are typically the result of abuse. You will be unable to use Second Life until the noted time. If the noted time is more than an hour away, you'll receive an email from the Abuse team regarding the incident(s) resulting in the administrative block. (Be sure to check your spam filters.) Linden Lab is unable to remove administrative blocks for abuse. Questions or comments about abuse should be submitted as support tickets. Although Basic account holders usually can't submit support tickets, there's a special option in the Submit a Ticket area for this type of situation, which could include: You can’t create a Second Life account You are getting an error message that states you cannot log in from your location Your account has been disabled and you need it reactivated Simply select the "Special Questions - Basic account or Guest Login" Ticket type and enter the required information. When you're logged in with Guest access or a Basic account and Submit a Ticket, you should only use the "Special Questions - Basic account or Guest Login" option in the Ticket Type dropdown. All tickets from Basic account holders or the Guest account that use other ticket options will be closed without review.
  5. Sometimes the solution to people being unable to teleport is as easy as they're wearing something that makes tp'ing difficult... here's the Knowledge Base info hoping it helps. I'm having trouble teleporting This article contains tips for people experiencing problems with teleporting. Maturity SettingsIt is possible the land you are trying to access has a maturity rating other than the rating set in your own Preferences. See the Knowledge Base article Setting your maturity preferences for details on how to change your preferred maturity setting. If you are unable to change the maturity rating in your Preferences to a similar rating set on the land you are trying to access, please read How to become verified as an Adult for information about account verification, and Maturity ratings: an overview for general information. It is necessary to have the latest Viewer 1.23 or higher to access Adult settings. Download the latest Viewer. Tip:If you are not sure of the Region maturity rating for the land you are trying to access, open the World Map by clicking the Map button on your Viewer task bar. Search for the Region. Hold your cursor over the Region on the map to see the maturity rating. Take Off Attachments An attachment you're wearing might be preventing you from teleporting successfully. Right-click your avatar. Select Take Off from the pie menu. Select Detach All. Try to teleport to your destination. Teleport to MainlandSometimes, it can help to try teleporting to your intended spot from a different destination. Click Map. Type in "Pooley". Click Search. Select Pooley from the list. Click Teleport. After you arrive at Pooley, try to teleport to your destination. Fly Up, then TeleportYour current location may be preventing you from teleporting successfully. Fly to an altitude of 200 meters. Try to teleport to your destination. Unusually restrictive firewalls block teleporting If your firewall is blocking outbound TCP port 12043, then teleporting, viewing the World Map, crossing regions, and related activities won't work. See this article for more details. Turn Down Maximum BandwidthBandwidth settings might be responsible for an unsuccessful teleport. Select Edit > Preferences. Click the Network tab. Turn down your Maximum Bandwidth setting. If your Maximum Bandwidth is 1500 kbps, try setting it to 500 kbps. Try to teleport to your destination. Show Start Location on Login ScreenYou could try setting up Second Life such that you'll appear at your destination on your next login. Select Edit > Preferences. Click the General tab. Select the Show Start Location on Login Screen option. Exit Second Life. Before you click Log In, type in the name of your destination region. For example: Pooley Show Start Location on Login Screen needs to be on. Type in the name of your destination region or "Pooley".
  6. Check out this thread, it'll tell you why you sometimes can, and sometimes can't, kind of. (yes, it's a mess). Re: Age Verification Problems
  7. Yes there is a sim online set-up specifically to test age verification; hang on a few sec's... i'll log and send you the lm. EDIT: okay LM to the age verification test area sent. You'll see a mat that says "test your age verification here"... if you can stand on the mat you're verified; if however the mat is surrounded by red ban lines and you're unable to cross = fail. Good luck.
  8. Sounds silly but someone else said they were ghosted like your av on this forum a few days ago... one reply was 'get a friend to send you a linden or IM" cause sometimes that does the trick. No clue if it works but maybe you'll get lucky.
  9. My guess is when you logged out SL didn't log you out properly so it's still acting like you're avatar is still there. You'll have to submit a support ticket so they can fix it - here's the info relating to that error message - best of luck! Why does Second Life say "Your account is not accessible until (date/time)"? Does the error specifically state that you are already logging in (or out)? If so, this message simply means that Second Life is still attempting to log out your avatar. Close Second Life, wait fifteen minutes, then attempt to log in again. Do not repeatedly attempt to log in! If you keep trying to log in, the process will take longer. Short-term blocks (less than an hour) may be the result of a kick for inappropriate behavior. Longer blocks are typically the result of abuse. You will be unable to use Second Life until the noted time. 10. No spitting or throwing your empties over the side, i might be the one living down below. -laffs-
  11. There's two settings that prevent a group from being seen in search; here's how to hide them: Deselect the Show In Group List checkbox to make sure the group doesn't appear in the Groups tab of the Search window. Deselect the Show in Search checkbox to make sure the group doesn't appear in searches performed from the Second Life website. Even if you okay'ed the 'show in search' your group will still be hiding to you or anyone else if you're looking for it using the "Groups" tab depending on that setting... perhaps thats why?
  12. wewt! good for you, congrats... missing stuff would drive me insane.
  13. Hope this helps, it's what LL suggests in the case of inventory loss: Inventory: Complete recovery steps and information about perceived loss This article contains a list of steps you can take in order to retrieve lost inventory. While some of the steps presented may not appear to be relevant to your type of inventory loss, you should read through the entire article and follow all applicable steps. None of the procedures here can damage your inventory, so when in doubt, try them all!COMMON SOLUTIONS Clearing Second Life's cache Second Life® uses hard drive space on your computer to store data, including a list of items in your inventory. If this cache becomes corrupted or your Viewer did not completely fetch your inventory, items in your inventory may erroneously appear to be missing. In many cases, your items are not lost and will reappear after you clear Second Life's cache: Go to Edit > Preferences on the menu bar. Click the Network tab. Click the Clear Cache button. Exit Second Life. Log back into Second Life. Wait in place for 5 minutes; Second Life needs to reload much of your previously cached information. Object Missing From Database Error Message If you get an "Object Missing From Database" error message when you rez an item from your inventory, don't panic! Sometimes Second Life is able to automatically recover your missing object. To see if Second Life was able to recover your missing object, you should wait one hour, clear your cache as described above, logout and then log back into Second Life and look in your Inventory window to see if the item has reappeared. Region issues The Region you are in may experience technical difficulties, especially in high traffic areas. This behavior can prevent you from rezzing items from your inventory. If you are unable to escape to another Region, exit Second Life and log back into a different Region: Go to Edit > Preferences on the menu bar. Click the General tab. Turn on the option Show Start Location on Login Screen. Exit Second Life. Launch Second Life, but don't login yet. Enter Sandbox Newcomb, or another known Region name, into Start Location. Click Log In. Try to find a Region with a low Traffic score and relatively few objects- such Regions generally experience less strain, and are less likely to exhibit symptoms like inventory loss. PERCEIVED INVENTORY LOSS Sometimes it may appear that you have lost part of your inventory because outside forces can prevent Second Life from displaying your inventory properly. Remember, common solutions and search techniques can often solve a case of perceived inventory loss! Connectivity problems An unstable Internet connection can lead to apparent inventory loss in Second Life. High packet loss may cause your inventory to fail to retrieve a complete list of items from Second Life's servers. Wireless and satellite connections are unsupported for this reason, and other types of connectivity may yield similar results. You may also experience a temporary problem with Second Life or your connection to the Internet. If the list of items in your inventory usually loads without incident, temporary inventory loss may go away within 24 hours. In addition, clear your cache as described in Clearing Second Life's cache, log out and then log back in and look in your Inventory window to see if the items have reappeared. Inventory Item Count The Item Count in the Inventory window is not always precise. It represents the number of items that have been successfully downloaded to your Viewer. Thus, when the number changes it does not mean you have actually lost or gained inventory items. If you notice the number has dropped significantly and the Viewer has finished fetching your items then try Clearing Second Life's cache, log out and then log back in and look in your Inventory window to see if the items have reappeared. SEARCH TECHNIQUES Did the objects vanish after being returned? The Coalesce feature may cause confusion by making it appear that objects have vanished instead of being returned to your inventory. When a group of objects gets returned, they are merged into a single coalesced listing, in your inventory's Lost and Found folder. This happens when you or the owner of a parcel exercises their ability to return objects to their owner. For example, imagine you have a living room. Inside the living room there is a television, coffee table, sofa, rug and a remote control. Then, by accident, everything is returned! To locate the returned objects, you search through your inventory, but after searching, the only object you can locate is the remote control. Where did everything else go? The television, coffee table, sofa and rug have been merged with the remote control. Simply drag the remote control from your inventory onto the ground everything else that was returned with the remote control should appear. Trivia: Icons are used to represent different types of items in your inventory. the icons used for objects and coalesced objects are similar, but different. The object has an icon that looks like a cube, and the coalesced object has an icon that looks like a stack of cubes. Use the steps below to locate objects that have been recently coalesced and returned to your inventory: Click the Inventory button. In the Inventory window, go to Sort > By Date. Locate the Lost and Found folder. From top to bottom, work through the list of objects, dragging each coalesced object onto the ground until you locate the missing objects. Alternatively, look for coalesced objects that you know were returned on the same or similar dates as when you lost your objects. Inventory Filters The Filters panel in your Inventory window contains a list of different inventory types. To learn how to use the Filters panel, follow the steps below: Click the Inventory button. Inside the Inventory window, choose File > Reset Filters. Choose File > Show Filters. Here, we make adjustments so that we only view Objects (and not textures, animations, etc) in the search results: Click the None button to turn off all filtering type options. Go back and turn on the Objects option. To view objects placed into your inventory within the last 7 days: Enter "7" into Days Ago. Press the Enter key. To find your own filtering style, experiment with the options in the Filters panel. If you ever need to reset all options back to their defaults, simply go to File > Reset Filters. OTHER TIPS & TRICKS No Copy Objects No Copy objects will be deleted from your inventory when placed inworld or transferred to another Resident. Objects without the (no copy) tag will remain in your inventory when you place them inworld or give them to another Resident. Recent Items In the Inventory window, the Recent Items tab allows you to see objects that have been received or edited since the last time you logged off. Use the Mini-Map to locate your objects The Mini-Map can be a useful tool to help you locate objects inworld. To activate the Mini-Map, click the Mini-Map button at the bottom of the screen. Can I re-size the Mini-Map? Yes. Click and drag the mouse at the bottom-right corner to the Mini-Map window. Can I zoom in on the Mini-Map? Yes. Right-click the Mini-Map window and choose Zoom Close. The Mini-Map's default is Zoom Medium. You can also use your mouse wheel to control zoom on the Mini-Map. What do the different colors mean? Cyan (light blue) represents your objects. Pink represents objects deeded to a group of which you are a member. Gray represents objects that belong to other Residents. Select Only My Objects The Tools menu has a useful option that allows you to select only objects that are owned by you. This can help locate all your objects in the immediate area; they may be hidden by other Residents' objects. Go to Tools > Select Only My Objects on the menu bar. Go to Tools > Select Tool > Edit on the menu bar. Now that the Edit tool is activated, click-and-drag your mouse to make a selection. Only your objects will be highlighted, possibly revealing the object you were unable to see before. Locate items lost underground Objects may be lost underground as the result of an editing mistake or changes in terrain. The following steps provide instructions to help locate objects that may be stuck underground. First, hide the ground: Activate the Advanced menu at the top of the Second Life window. Then, choose Advanced > Rendering > Types > Surface Patch. Press Esc to deactivate any open windows and close the chat box Hold down the Alt key and press Page Up or Page Down. This allows you to rotate your camera, locating any of your objects that may be buried underground. Invisible objects It may be impossible to see some objects if they are invisible. The Highlight Transparent feature allows you to view invisible objects. Transparent objects will turn translucent red once this feature has been enabled. Go to View > Highlight Transparent on the menu bar. Beacons Often, objects you are looking for may contain a script. Beacons make it easy to locate any objects that contain a script. Go to View > Beacons > Scripted Objects on the menu bar. If the beacons don't appear to be working, make sure the Render Beacons option is enabled. This draws cross-hairs over any beacons, making them easier to locate. Go to View > Beacons > Render Beacons on the menu bar. There is an option that increases the line width used for beacons, making them easier to view. This is especially useful when Second Life is displayed at a high resolution. Go to View > Beacons > Beacon Width on the menu bar. Select "4" or a higher value. Request a replacement Many merchants understand that items may be lost during unique circumstances. If recovery efforts fail, contact the merchant and request a replacement. How many items are in your inventory? Keeping your inventory tidy is always a good idea. If your inventory has more than 10,000 items, it may not load in a timely fashion. To make sure your inventory loads quickly and properly, go through the list of items in your inventory and remove any items you no longer want or need. Moving objects into folders is easier when using a second Inventory window. From Inventory, go to File > New Window. Drag inventory from one window to another. COMMON CAUSES OF INVENTORY LOSS Inventory offers declined while in Busy Mode Any inventory offers to your avatar while in Busy Mode are automatically declined. To locate items that have been declined, search your Trash folder; all declined inventory offers go to your Trash. Is a friend allowed to modify your objects? Friends who have modify rights to your objects can move them around, possibly to a location where someone may return or delete them. Modify rights also allow friends to take copies of objects that are copyable. When a friend with modify rights takes a copy of your object, next owner permissions are applied to the copied object. Land owned by a Resident A Resident who owns a parcel of land can return or delete any objects placed onto their land. Second Life sends notifications when objects are returned, but not for objects that have been deleted. Land deeded to a group A group member with the ability to return objects can return or delete objects placed on group-owned land. Typically, Owners and Officers of a group have this ability. Second Life sends notifications when objects are returned, but not for objects that have been deleted. Shared or deeded to group An object that is shared or deeded to group can be manipulated or possibly taken by group members with the Manipulate (move, copy, modify) group-owned objects ability. Typically, Owners and Officers of a group have this ability. Shared or deeded objects may have been taken or moved to another location and later returned or deleted. Objects which are Shared with group and taken by a group member who does not own the object, will have next owner permissions applied. This can possibly restrict your ability to modify or copy them. Best practice: Make sure you have a copy of your own object before setting it to Share with group. Objects which are deeded to group can only be moved or taken by group members with the Manipulate (move, copy, modify) group-owned objects ability. Private Regions Objects located on a Private Region (a Region owned by a Resident) can be returned by the Region owner or an Estate Manager. Second Life sends notifications when objects are returned. Autoreturn Objects not owned by the land owner, or not set to the group to which the land is deeded, will be returned after a set time limit if About Land > Objects > Autoreturn is enabled. Returned objects can be found in your Lost and Found folder and may be coalesced. Decrease in available prims The number of primitives a land parcel supports is calculated by the total square meters of land owned by a resident or group in a Region. If the total square meters of land decreases, the parcel may no longer support the primitives on the land, resulting in the return of any excess objects. Example: Larry owns two parcels of land in a Region. Each parcel of land is 512 square meters. The total square meters of land owned by Larry is 1024 square meters. Normally, 512 square meters of land supports 117 primitives and 1024 square meters of land 234 primitives. Larry can place all 234 primitives on one of his parcels. However, if Larry deeds one of these parcels to a group or sells it to another resident, the remaining parcel will only support 117 primitives. Any extra primitives will be returned according to how long they have been on the parcel, youngest age first. Inventory accidentally placed into an object Items may have been accidentally dragged from your Inventory window and placed into an object. Items like notecards and sounds cannot be rezzed inworld. If you drag them from the Inventory window onto an inworld object, they will be placed into that object. An object can be placed into another inworld object if the CTRL key is pressed while dragging an object from the Inventory window onto the inworld object. To see the contents of an inworld object, and possibly locate any inventory accidentally placed into it, right click the object and choose Edit. Then, in the Edit window, click the Content tab. Items accidentally given to another avatarIt is possible your items may have been given to another Resident. There are three ways this can happen. If you: Drag items from your Inventory window onto an avatar inworld. Drag items from your Inventory window onto someone else's profile window. Drag items from your Inventory window into an open IM window. ACTUAL INVENTORY LOSS Inventory never received A malfunction or Region issue may cause a scripted vendor to fail to deliver purchased items. Unfortunately, there is nothing Second Life Support can do to help recover items that were never received. Contact the Resident that sold the items, and explain that you never received your purchase. If you are unsure who to contact, you may look at your transaction history: Visit http://www.secondlife.com/account/transactions.php Loss of objects as the result of a Region crash Recently rezzed objects that are missing after a Region crash may likely be lost. A Region rolls back to a previously saved state when it recovers from a crash. Sadly, anything lost as the result of a Region crash cannot be recovered. SURVEY Please include the following information when submitting a ticket to Support about your lost inventory: What were you doing when your inventory item(s) were lost? Nothing, items disappeared from my inventory and item count is lower. Items were auto-returned from parcel but I never received them. Item was purchased from a vendor but I never received it. 14. edited: defers to the smarter people...
  15. There are programs DJs I've dealt with that they use to pre-record voice-overs for use in between sets, they play then during their shifts over the club stream same as their tunes and everyone including the DJ (person who's voice it is) can hear it. If you think this will help, let me know and I'll get the name of the program for you. Best of luck new filmaker
  16. If it was a 'group ban' as opposed to a LL secondlife-wide ban perhaps you coud contact the group owner and ask them. I've done by fair share of banning and I've never heard of such a thing, the timer sure beats doing it manually.
  17. omg, i got it right? hahaha, wow. this will be a smile in my face for the next hour that nobody around me will understand... was it the file in the cake that put me over the top?
  18. "I don't get to do the login! only that entered with other change and I am stopped la 1age...I am caught la I don't get to leave please they help me!" I've no clue what that means... please describle what happens, when you try to login. Do you even get a login screen, and if yes what happens then.
  19. Sorry I got no bail money to spare, best I can do is send you a cake with a file in it and suggest if LL are preventing you from logging-in they're the best ones to talk to about letting you back on... and if you drop the soap don't pick it up, just walk away slowly. In the meantime, file an appeal. My account has been unfairly or incorrectly suspended or permanently closed by Linden Lab -- how can I appeal this decision? Linden Lab takes violations of the Second Life Terms of Service and Community Standards very seriously. Residents are not allowed to participate in the Second Life virtual world if their accounts have been suspended or disabled for violations of our Terms of Service. However, if you can maintain in good faith that the violations were not due to your actions or negligence, or the actions or negligence of others working for you, you may appeal the suspension or closure of your account(s) in writing to the address below. 20. She was in her own sl home, with her partner doing private stuff, on a private properly... surely she should be entitled to that. Some lowlife cams from across some other properly, through the walls, to get their jolly's playing with her Xcite... and it's her reaction thats the topic of discussion? There are some things people should have a certain respect for online or not, and it's unfortunate some don't clue into that... if i'm wrong about that i'm happily wrong. I don't buy into the 'its a game so i can do wtf ever i want and what other people think or want has no meaning'. If you don't know how personal some people take their Xcite and some sl husbands take a total 'hands off' approach as far as their wife's go, or how its actually a sl act of respect you ask a woman first.. now you do. (now if she was in public and didn't have her Xcite muted, that would be different, but she was at home with her guy... )
  21. I've been participating in online stuff for years, mutliplayer games, secondlife,i'm sure i can't even count how many times other people might have access to my IP address... this includes griefers i've banned and the psychos you speak of. Maybe I'm lucky but i've never had a problem. Nobody hacking into my computer, nobody tracking me down and knocking on my door... even if they tried my computer security seems to stand up to any attack. If someone wants to fly across country or w/e to bring trouble to my door - i can't imagine i'm worth going through all that (and thats what 911 is for - if someone wants to go thru all the trouble of getting here, just to be carted away by the RCMP minutes later - colour me twisted but thats more stupidity than it is an actual threat) Perhaps i'm incorrect but I don't really think too many people are concerned about it simply because i don't think people tracking down other people cause they saw an ip address on secondlife happens all that often, if ever. I've been a club manager for years dealing in streams and dj's with groupies - haven't seen it happen yet... actually its the dancers who seem to attact those who can do them the least amount of good. Maybe I'm unique in this, never had a problem with my ip being known and its not really even an issue. Ideally its never been and won't be for you also.
  22. Not sure if this is any consolation but should any RL info be shared, thats a huge transgression - number 4 on the 'big six' list. This is a very interesting thread - I deal with streams lots inworld and i'll have to do some looking into this. The Community Standards sets out six behaviors, the 'Big Six', that will result in suspension or, with repeated violations, expulsion from the Second Life Community. All Second Life Community Standards apply to all areas of Second Life, the Second Life Forums, and the Second Life Website. Intolerance Combating intolerance is a cornerstone of Second Life's Community Standards. Actions that marginalize, belittle, or defame individuals or groups inhibit the satisfying exchange of ideas and diminish the Second Life community as a whole. The use of derogatory or demeaning language or images in reference to another Resident's race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or sexual orientation is never allowed in Second Life. Harassment Given the myriad capabilities of Second Life, harassment can take many forms. Communicating or behaving in a manner which is offensively coarse, intimidating or threatening, constitutes unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors, or is otherwise likely to cause annoyance or alarm is Harassment. Assault Most areas in Second Life are identified as Safe. Assault in Second Life means: shooting, pushing, or shoving another Resident in a Safe Area (see Global Standards below); creating or using scripted objects which singularly or persistently target another Resident in a manner which prevents their enjoyment of Second Life. Disclosure Residents are entitled to a reasonable level of privacy with regard to their Second Life experience. Sharing personal information about a fellow Resident --including gender, religion, age, marital status, race, sexual preference, and real-world location beyond what is provided by the Resident in the First Life page of their Resident profile is a violation of that Resident's privacy. Remotely monitoring conversations, posting conversation logs, or sharing conversation logs without consent are all prohibited in Second Life and on the Second Life Forums.
  23. Well if you can't do something one way, there's always alernatives... just don't take no for an answer lol. If memory serves a premium membership is $9.95US... which I know if come due date if I don't feel like putting it on my credit card - i can pay for it using lindens. All I need do is go to the Linden TradeX page and sell the $9.95 equivalent in lindens, and the credit goes straight to payoff my membership. Even if she had to apply herself, you chipping in for that first month and giving her some sl greeting card saying 'welcome premium resident...' - is still you doing it for them. Right? -grins- One way or another if it's a gift you want to give, i'm sure you'll manage.
