  1. Hello everyone! I have some ultranice parcels available for rent in my Caddo marina. All of these old-world parcels have water-access out to protected Lost Lakes area, and LL road access via the private roads I've built. I intend for this sim to be rather 'exclusive.' Please respect the ground level appearance. I'd like to keep the ground/water level for things like boats, houses and shops or other structures with a good 'aesthetic.' ie...please keep unfinished builds over 400m in the sky. :) Most parcels are 64mX64m, and there's one 96mX64m. The parcel footprint won't change, but more prims are available-just IM me :) Here's a list...   3. Concur completely with La! How bout just Structures (it's own top level category, not embedded under building components)? Doesn't make sense you have sooo many levels for structures. Shouldn't the fact that you are making all these levels for structures "clue you in" that structures should be a top-level cat in it's own right?

By new I'm kinda talking about the functions like llSetLinkPrimitivePrimsParamsFast, setlinkmedia,setkeyframedmotion, llCastRay, etc. So, you "could" potentially use these functions in single script/in a single prim to replace what used to take multiple scripts in multiple prims, or replace more complicated scripts with simpler ones. There by reducing server load and/or memory use. But for the most part a function doesn't care if it's in mesh or not. I've barely messed with setkeyframedmotion (other than a quicky movement test prim), but I believe the script needs to be in a "PE" object (PRIM_PHYSICS_SHAPE_CONVEX) to work.
  5. Ok...sorry for being a na-sayer but I had to make this "counter" to the thread Tier reduced 40%. How are you celebrating? because the title struck me as so completely out-of-touch with reality and total LL propoganda/spin. The basic idea of that thread was that with "prim equivelence" land impact of your objects will go down by 40%-ergo your land effectively can hold more prims. Now it may be true I can link two cubes (default wood texture, no physics, no scripts, no nothing) into one (2 prim) object with a total land impact of 1. It's also true I 'could' upload a mesh object that would have less land impact than a similiar standard prim/sculptie composite object. However, the end result of all this 'prim equiv.' stuff (for any semi-realistic object) will eventually be your objects will have greater land impact , your land won't be able to support them all so alot of them will get returned. But guess what? LL will still charge you the same! For example I was just curious to see what would happen if I changed "physics shape type" of an old airplane I made into 'convex hull' to use the new 'prim equiv.' land impact rather than the standard 'prim count' land impact. This plane was only 23 prims before, but went to 46 equiv. after! Now, "if" I wanted to rescript that plane and use the new LSL functions, I could bring that number down a bit I'm sure. But taking into account textures, physics, etc. there's still no way it would get back down to 23 PE. Another example-I'm building a spaceship-it's 183 prims using the standard prim counting mehtod. This ship DOES use the new faster/better/more efficient LSL functions and there aren't even many scripts in there yet. So i tried the same test on my spaceship-switching to 'prim equiv.' count. It went to over 2000 land impact! So that same ship will (when LL finally decides to have every object's land impact calculated using prim equivs.-and they will) use over 1000% more prims on my land! So to those who 'think' the land impact of their objects is going to decrease 40% with the new PE system I say-"put your money where your mouth is." Go right now and convert every object on your land to use prim. equiv. land impact, rather than standard prim count. I'd be mean if I didn't warn you that your lost and found folder is going to fill up. .
  6. Well...I usually call things 'like they are' which means mostly complaints about LL, but I also now have to give LL a slight pat on the back. It does appear they are making some prgress at least on the development-side. Mesh is working, new functions, important bug fixes, etc. So.../pat development team! Albeit, mesh should have been done before SL rolled off the assembly line...but at least most people should be able upload their 3D models without jumping through a bunch of 'hoops' to make a sculptie (even thought I'll still work with sculpties until non-mesh viewers are gone). So grats dev team!
  7. Slightly old post, but why not go from json/p back to lsl list by parsing body from llHTTPRequest ? 
  8. 1.23.5 here. V2 would make it much easier to create/scripts things, however as content creator you have to go with the least common demoninator-that's 1.23. I do wish LL would publish the numbers though.
  9. Hi there everyone! Just bumped up my tier again (kinda by accident..lol) so now I have new mainland parcels available to rent (including 2 reeally nice Bay City lots!! 2xprims!!!)   11. When I signed up it DID finally accept my Paypal CC. However you have to enter your mailing address exactly as it appears uner your paypal CC account. So, ok. It took me 5 attempts (since I've moved a few months ago and didn't think this address would be such a big deal).BAD NEWS-since the card number, etc. was correct on first 4 attempts I was stuck with 4 $10 (pending) charges on my paypal account for about 30days (since LL or whoever is running this ad program doesn't know to "cancel" the transaction in the event of the user entering the wrong address)
