  1. Hello Kampu, The original size of the Shopping Cart was suggested at 100 items when the Marketplace was in alpha, back in early 2010. The current 10 items limit was used because In World Messages are capped at 25. If users were allowed to purchase 100 items, everything after 25 would be lost. Once the Magic Boxes are no longer being used to deliver products, and products from the Marketplace are no longer delivered as pop up deliveries, I imagine this limit will be reviewed and possibly adjusted higher.
  2. Greetings! When a shopping cart is created (an item is added to the buyers cart) it creates a "Purchase Order". This Purchase Order is dated based on the date that an item was added to their cart. When you look up the Purchase Order on your Sales History, you have to look it up by the Purchase Order Date (the date an item was added to the Cart). This means that someone can add an item to their cart (Create the Purchase Order) but not process the order for multiple days, or months. The Purchase Order Date isn't always the Trsansaction Date.
  3. Hello Sera, It is more visible. Log into the Marketplace - Click My Marketplace - Merchant Home page
  4. Greetings Sera! The Merchant Home Page on the Marketplace has links for Direct Delivery. The link points to this Blog Post: Which contains links to how to Migrate From MB to DD. Selling in the Marketplace Along with and YouTube Videos. There is also a link to the Release Notes, and a Direct Delivery Launch Questions Page. In addition, there is also a link to the Marketplace & Direct Delivery Update Blog Post.
  5. Hi Darrius! Yep, it is great that you have created the guide to help the users. Not everyone goes to the Knowledge Base first and they come to the Forums. We appreciate the help that you are offering to those Merchants who do come here first.
  6. Greetings! If any product on an order causes the order to stick in the Being Delivered state, the entire order will be held up. Queued Orders have not been processed. The buyer has not been charged, and the products have not been Delivered. If the buyer would like the order processed, they must submit a Support Case and provide the Order Number and ask to have the order processed.
  7. Thank you Darrius for the guide. This is also covered in the Managing Your Marketplace Store Knowledge Base Article.
  8. Roscko Cobalt wrote: speaking of ratings and reviews has anyone else noticed that when we merged from xstreet only ratings followed not the reviews right? well how is reviews from 2007 show up for magic box Greetings Roscko Cobalt! On the old Xstreet SL web site Marketplace it was possible to leave either a Rating (Stars) or a Review (comments) or Both. When the Second Life Marketplace went live, Linden Lab had received many complaints from Merchants regarding buyers leaving 1 star rating but no comments so the Merchants had no way of knowing why the buyer rated the product so low. Therefore, Linden Lab removed the ability to leave a Star Rating without leaving a comment. On the SLM web site these are all called "Reviews". Since some products were on the old Xstreet SL web site with only a Star Ratings, and no comments, when those were migrated to the SLM web site, you see that there is a "review" on a listing, but instead of seeing comments you only see the Star Rating because the buyer didn't leave a comment when they rated the item. All Star Ratings & Review Comments were migrated from the old Xstreet SL web site to the listings on the SLM web site, but since many "reviews" didn't include comments and were only Star Ratings, you now see those product listings as being "reviewed" but no comments are shown, since they never existed.
  9. Chippie Waffle wrote: Thanks everyone for your responses! I sat down and took a little more time to look through the transactions, and wracked my memory to see if I could remember having done anything different with the one particular Magic Box. The strange thing is, that some of the items in the Magic Box seem to be delivering just fine, but other items are not. The ones that do not deliver, HAVE delivered in the past, but now recently are not. The other issue seems to be that these people are NOT being refunded when delivery is failing! So now I have this giant task of tracking them all down and trying to repay them! Oy ve!!!!! What in good lord's name is going on here???? Aren't they supposed to automatically have their money returned to them when the item doesn't deliver? One last question: If I move my Magic Boxes to another sim, do I need to delete the items in my store and re-enter them? I really can't imagine that this is anything other than a sim issue (only because I haven't DONE anything to my boxes other than to put items into them). Thanks again everyone for your input! Greetings Chippie! If the SLM Order says Delivery Partially Failed it means that one or more products on the order could not be delivered. This may or may not actually be your product that failed to be delivered. In order to verify that it was your item you will need to review the Order Summary to see the entry for your product. The Line Item Entry on the Order Summary will show you your products along with information regarding whether or not your item was the one that could not be delivered. Any SLM Order that shows Failed on the SLM web site will result in the buyer being automatically refunded. If the buyer contacts you and states that they did not receive the refund, please advise them to contact Customer Support through the Support Portal and provide us with the SLM Order Number and we will be able to assist them with locating the refund entry on their L$ Transaction Log.

We've been notified about this issue and we'll take a look at it shortly. Does anyone know what the problem is ? Greetings Mama Norfolk! I have reviewed your account on the SLM web site and there are no products showing in your shopping cart. If you still see items in your Shopping Cart please try clearing your browsers cache and any SLM cookies to see if that corrects the issue. If it does not correct the issue, please submit a Support Case under Marketplace - General Marketplace Issues and include screenshots showing the items in your cart and I will be able to submit that information to the Marketplace Team.
  11. Random Sixpence wrote: Any other merchants having a problem with items suddenly showing up in Unavailable & The Listed column and indeed they are available? OR adding Unlisted items, having them appear in your store, and Listed yet still remain in the Unlisted columns as well? Something is wrong with the Index on the MP or something got really messed up with the last update. Does anyone know if a jira was filed? Greetings Random! Thank you for creating the Jira Ticket so that the Marketplace Team can research the issue further and other Merchants can add their comments if they are having the same issue. If you can, please take screen shots showing the products in your SLM Store and also on the Unavailable/Unlisted tab on your Manage Inventory page. This will help the Marketplace Team to see and understand exactly what you are seeing on the SLM site for your store.

I didn't know this. Why is this not described in the marketplace guidelines or on the wiki pages? Or did I just miss this in the marketplace documentation? Greetings! The Marketplace has always done this, going all the way back to the days of SLExchange.
  13. jada Tigerpaw wrote: Hi everyone, I looked at the threads but couldn't find one that was exactly my problem. For the past few days, my store is showing up empty.. However, when I go into manage my inventory, all the listings are showing as perfectly fine and 'listed'. I've had customers IMing me, letting me know my items aren't for sale on Marketplace unfortunately and I can't seem to fgure out how to fix this. Any ideas? Am i just completely blind and am doing something wrong? Or is SL just teaching me patience.... in a very annoying way? thankyou muchly in advance!! [<3] Greetings! If you have items that are showing as active on your Manage Inventory list that you are unable to see on your Marketplace Store, check the Maturity Ratings. If your Manage Inventory List shows that all of your products are set to the Moderate Maturity Rating but when you view your store you own Maturity Ratings settings are to show only General Maturity Content, then you will never see your own items. You must change your settings to show General & Moderate Content.

  16. Hello BillAngel, This is an issue that a few residents see when they click on the Create a Store link on the SLM web site and try to accept the Marketplace Listing Guidelines. The only way to correct this is to notify Customer Support so we can clear the issue. I have done that for you and you should have no further difficulty accessing the SLM web site.
  17. Darrius Gothly wrote: Dakota? Are you in there somewhere? Can you take over because I do believe there is something borked that goes way beyond the normal means of repair. Try having the region where the Magic Boxes are located restarted. This should restore the communicaition channels and allow the Magic Box to communicate with the web sites.
  18. Hello Josh, Please note the message in the image. "Your Inventory is being syncronized with Second Life. Refresh to see changes" This means that the syncing process was not finished so the information you were seeing was not current on the page. If you require further assistance with this issue, please submit a Support Case and I will be happy to continue to provide help.
  19. Hello Josh, Please see the Second Life Knowledge Base article regarding Managing your Marketplace Store, located here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Managing-your-Marketplace-store/ta-p/700191 Please note the section regarding how Removing a Listing.
  20. Greetings! Xstreet SL did not credit for terminated enhancements. If you paid for a higher priced enhancement and then downgraded the system didn't charge you for the new enhancement type if you had enough credit left from the original enhancement to cover the new price. If you upgraded, it charged you the difference. If you downgraded, then upgraded again, you got charged the full amount of the new upgrade, even if you were still supposed to have credit and had to submit a Support Case so that the issue could be researched and straightened out and your account credited back. SLM has multiple individual types of enhancements. If you want to change a Homepage Enhancement to a category landing page you have to cancel the Homepage Enhancement and add the category landing page. It wasn't possible to have different types of enhancements on the products on Xstreet SL because of the way they were set up. Merchants have far greater control now of their Enhanced listings and where they are displayed than was remotely possible on the Xstreet SL web site. Regards, Dakota Linden -- Linden Lab SL Marketplace Customer Support https://marketplace.secondlife.com/ http://www.secondlife.com
  21. Hello Josh, There wouldn't be a difference. The same thing would happen. The system would send a delivery message and not receive a reply and time out the order and cancel the sale. This is why it is recommended that merchants have a back up Magic Box with a duplicate copy of the items on a different region.
  22. Hello Josh, After testing and researching more, here is what we have found. The item that was purchased in the order isn't in being reported as being in your Magic Boxes in world. If you review your Magic Box Status page all of the items that are showing in the Unassociated Inventory Column are the items that the system is reporting as being in your Magic Box. The ferny wall 05.08.11 stone rock sculpted full permissions prim isn't on the list. It appears that after you removed items from your Magic Box you did not Sync the Marketplace to your Magic Boxes. We did this for you. A lot of items are now showing as Unavailable, including the ferny wall 05.08.11 stone rock sculpted full permissions prim product. Since it appears that you did not Synch the Marketplace to your Magic Boxes the system didn't unlist the products that no longer had an item in your Magic Box. This means that buyers could still attempt to purchase the product. When the system couldn't get the item delivered, since it couldn't be found in your Magic Boxes, the orders failed. I have just ordered another one of your products and the order processed and the item was delivered within seconds. Any time you make changes to your Magic Boxes, including moving or deleting the boxes themselves or adding and removing items from the Magic Box it is imperative that the Marketplace be sync'd to the Magic Boxes using the button go on the Manage Inventory page this way the web site will be working with the most current and updated information.
  23. Hey Josh, This is great information. Thank you. The SLM Order shows delivered, but when you view the line item entry for your product, it shows failed. This same information is shown when we view the order information from the Admin side. The SLM Order Status in those cases should show Delivery Partially Failed instead of Delivered. I have pushed that to the one of the Dev Team members and they are going to do some testing on that to find out what's up with the difference in the reported status. One question that has come up is when did you change the price on the listing? Also, if necessary we could meet up in world today as well so that we can try a couple of other things to see if we can get a decent resolution to this mess for you.
  24. Greetings VonGklugelstein Alter! The Second Life Marketplace doesn't reverse transactions. This is why the Marketplace Linden account exists. When a buyer adds an item to their shopping cart it creates a purchase order. Purchase Orders are dated for the date that the first item is added to their shopping cart. When the order is processed the system polls the buyers account to verify the funds then transfer the funds from the buyers account to Marketplace Linden. The system then passes a delivery message to the merchants Magic Box. If the system cannot contact the Magic Box or the Magic Box does not reply to the delivery message then the order times out and the funds are sent back to the buyer. If the Magic Box replies that it sent the item then the funds are transferred to the Merchant minus the commission fee. If you have a question about an SLM transaction please submit a support case with as much information as possible along with the copy of the transaction itself and I will be happy to assist you with determining what the charge was for.
