  1. Sounds like what happens when I forget I have one of those "Select Only" settings enabled. Select only my objects Select only movable Select only locked Select only copiable ...etc etc.
  2. Funny, I was gonna say the Bronzium Acklay club in the Corellia: Coronet by Night district at Galaxy Rising.
  3. They do still display there, however. At the 600x600 maximum resolution.
  4. The NEW profiles viewer established the aspect ratio as square. Profile pictures are square on https://my.secondlife.com as well. Old firestorm skins that haven't been updated in half a decade or longer probably shouldn't be used as a reason not to adhere to the new standard. 600x600 was the max resolution an image would be displayed on my.secondlife.com.. if you upload an image larger than (or that size) it should be good. SL will likely shrink it to 512x512 for inworld usage.
  5. You're very unlikely to find a 'ready to go skybox, with 'quality furniture' all bundled together for a single purchase. If you're looking to rent land with a pre-furnished skybox/home on it, you may have some luck. But in terms of buying the whole thing ready-made for you, it's not going to happen that way. There *ARE* store that sell furnished skyboxes, but the furniture and the skybox will all be from the same maker as the skybox. You won't, for example, find someone selling an ONSU skybox filled with DRD, Backbone, and Ruckus furniture. You'll find someone like inverse selling an inverse skybox with inverse furniture. You may find some brands out there with a good combination of looks and animations, as many of these makers do buy fullperms animations or even furniture models to include in their builds... but you're not going to ge a bundle of skybox, and furnishings from different creators unless they do a (very rare) collab. If you are looking for a pre-furnished skybox to buy, this search on the marketplace should help: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/products/search?search[category_id]=34&search[keywords]=furnished&search[layout]=gallery&search[maturity_level]=GMA&search[per_page]=96&search[sort]=purchase_count_desc If you're looking to rent a pre-furnished home, This section of the forums might be of help https://community.secondlife.com/forums/forum/370-regions-for-rent/ or check out this section on the marketplace: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/products/search?utf8=✓&search[category_id]=852&search[maturity_level]=GMA&search[keywords]=furnished

  7. Aren't third party viewers REQUIRED by LL to publish their unobfuscated source code for transparency/licensing purposes?
  8. When this question comes up, I always point people to 📌 Builder's Brewery - While they're well known for their content creation classes, and their incredibly permissive group only sandbox (to join their free group, 📷 click this sign), they also offer 3-hour private changing rooms with posing stands, included privacy systems with controls for allowing friends and ejecting unwanted people. While no, it's not your own private home that you can decorate and always return to, it is a place where you can get privacy to work on the avatar, in addition the the excellent sandbox that gives you plenty of space to unpack objects and outfits.
  9. Did a bit more digging. The creator of the cat's body is listed as WangRen Frog whose profile is completely blank, and there's no MP store associated with that creator. That said, they have two picks. One leading to: 📌Kowloon Main Entrance And the other to: 📌Shop 13 @ Kowloon I'd wager that this *WAS * the location of WangRen's store in Kowloon. This space is now occupied by vendors and builds by Sandar Hax The contents inside the cat's body are also created by WangRen Frog. The Body also contains a landmark, which points to 📌https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/kowloon/220/133/30 which lands at a disused open-air market space called Kowloon Market. Owners in the area that are displaying this cat, include: Chun Criss, Nap Mayo, and Nanaki Kohime... contacting them miiiiight help, but based on everything I've seen from WangRen Frog's profile, and the LM inside the cat itself.. this has every indication of an item that just isn't up for sale anymore, and a store/seller that's packed up and moved on. Dropping an IM on WangRen Frog might get you some result.. as the creator, AND obvious seller of the cat, that'd be the person to talk to. Twitter: https://twitter.com/WangrenF --- Just as an aside, this cat has been in SL for a VERY long time.. there are mentions of it from December 2008, and February 2009 that I ran across when googling the creator's name.
  10. Can you be more specific about where you located the cat in Kowloon? The place is a bit insane to 'look for' any one object, even with area search. Maybe you could include a location where you saw the cat, outside of Kowloon?
  11. Assuming the images are using exactly the same shape and pose (and they seem to be), the rigging changes are represented in the differences between the two images. It's still very subtle. I'm not trying to indicate that your personal favourite skintight leotard will continue working, but I'd be willing to bet that 70-80% of everything I own for Maitreya (particularly the 'looser' stuff like things from Blueberry for example) will probably keep working just fine. Anything you had to 'hide the shoulders' on, to get to fit, is probably gonna keep fitting very similarly. It looks like they went to great pains to maintain support for existing items where possible.
  12. Comparing the Lara and Lara X, as shown on https://www.facebook.com/MaitreyaSL/videos/306289735135049/ - The blue outline in this image represents the Maitreya Lara, while the skin/body shown is the Lara X. I've been able to glean the following. Changes: Shoulders are slightly narrower, and further back. They may be smaller 'around' as well. Biceps (upper arms) seem very slightly thinner, especially when viewed from the front. This may be an illusion based on the shoulder movement. Belly seems to be drawn in slightly (front to back) waist is narrower (side to side) Butt and thighs appear to have become a bit plumper. Overall these changes seem subtle. (I had to stare at the video/gif for a while to even notice it was changing.. and only really got a feel for it when I compared two screenshots). The differences are notable however, and I think an improvement, but the overall effect is less a "whole new body" and more a refinement of the existing one. I think that a lot of the concern of old clothes not fitting is largely overblown. SUPER TIGHT fitting clothes, lingerie, stockings, leotards, etc may have trouble, but a lot of sweaters and jackets look like they'll continue to fit just fine. Especially items with some body clearance, or items that needed alpha cuts in the past, largely may continue to look just fine on this new body. All-in-all this seems like a positive reworking, and while it's hardly a big flash change, I think it will be appreciated by people who already own and love the Maitreya Lara, and the changes are subtle enough that the large library of existing clothing content may well work just fine.
  13. So, something you may not realize.. nearly all of Hilly's products are based on fullperms prefab clothing items that she purchased, iterated textures on, added huds, and resells at an affordable price. This is why a lot of clothing you see there, you may see in other shops with different textures. Hilly buys great prefab meshes, and she does a great job with the texturing of those meshes, and her prices are great too.. all of which results in fabulous product offerings. But in the grand scheme of things, she has very little in the way of original mesh in her shop.
  14. Patch, a question came up while we were toying with the body in the short period when we could. Will there be a pre-rigged DAE version of the bodies that developers will be able to download and modify? Perhaps we can solve issues like these by embracing the power of the community of makers, but also this may be a massive opportunity to provide a new 'starting point' for development. I can see a lot of interesting opportunities for shops to make clothes for these bodies, or make compatible limb replacements, whether that be furry accessories, tiptoe feet, prosthetic arms, or whatever. I also wonder if there are plans to make factory versions for differing body types, be that teens, muscle men, or what-have-you.
