  1. Remove all scripted items from your AV and try again.
  2. It appears your question has been edited from the other responses it looks like a low FPS rate, check your connection it doses not matter how good your machine is if your connection is having problems it will simple not receive the information it needs to perform correctly. I'd look look there first. There are two fps rates one is for the sim the other for your PC which fps rate is low? SIM fps second rates do not exceed 45 fps (edit, normally, though they have been known to spike to higher rates on occasion, rarely).
  3. My best guess would be you have a connectivity problem. Run the connection troubleshooter in windows while log onto SL. Reset your system clock; see help and support in windows OSs. If you have a modem unplug all of its wires, let is remain unplugged for 30 second then plug all those wires back in again. If you still having problems contact your ISP for assistance.
  4. There are some scripts that can do this from a list but a server would be required for very large (list) deliveries from a data base.

    3d model

I suppose hat would be possible but I would suspect it would be very costly software indeed. You might check with advanced real life machine shops for software of this type. This would not be standard CAD software however but would be a form of computer added design. You might also check with Google Earth they might have some application similar to your needs, possibly.
  6. Some sim owners have huge mega prims over there sims to add privacy, some also put up walls on side areas as well. Does this thing appear everywhere? If it does your graphics card might have a problem. Check for the latest update for your graphics card driver. 7. In a gentle but firm voice. Well certainly it is possible to speak to them but no yelling at them. :smileytongue:
  8. Did you see that last button that is hidden (seemingly) a the bottom of the last page when ordering? That one's easy to over look. Usually however, it will not take your money first.
  9. It's working since I wrote the post so I'll need to wait till it acts up again. I never noticed that mouse over either so you get some kudos.
  10. Since the change over from viewer 1 to 2+ the roles within the groups hud can not be changed without first ejecting members then re-inviting them with thier new role name. (1) Before you simply re-clicked a few boxes and I believe hit (2) save and the process was completed it no longer works this way. It appears I am doing the proper process but it does not work. ????????????? So i want to change "sample" to a vip I unclick musician box then click the vip box and then the save button and i get nada? What's up with that?
  11. After logon to the SL grid my account balance is showing up as zero when I have funds available. At one time it was necessary to relog to break this hang free and show the funds. Recently I found a post login work around; by requesting 10000000000000L$s as a lindens buy the system voids the transaction and when it does my money appears but this is still bothersome. Is there another way? Actually this is a very old problem that needs a real fix not just a bandaid. @ peggy cache was cleaned about three days ago and I do use the external browser. Actually I do not believe these would be the cause of the problem, please explain why these are associated problems with the L$ balance? Yes, transferred funds will unhang it some of the time. It's showing an amount but it is incorrect (see below). ".why not give it a try instead of dismissing it out of hand? Like I said, I've never had the problem myself but I have had a friend who did have the problem quite often.....he started doing what I do and for well over a year he hasn't asked me send him $L1 (I haven't asked him outright if he's had the problem but since he hasn't said a thing I take it to mean he hasn't). I'm not going to argue my point...........I just told you what my experience has been and what I do and what I've told one other resident to do and it seems to work. Believe it or don't believe it. Try it or don't try it. Dismiss it and never know if it will work for you. It's that simple" @ peggy Thank you for the input. I just cleaned my cache in browser a few days ago too. I meant no offence, it was just a question. @ char, Thanks char, that refresh trick worked. I would have never found that unless I had some how stumbled on it. You get the kudos and the solution. Good job! :)
  12. Remove all scripted objects and try again. Do you use a AO? Take it off. You can check to see what you have running by going to some land, not a sidewalk or road it must be dirt, grass that sort of thing. Right click it choose about land there at the bottom click the script tab click your scripts this will give you a list. Remove all of them and try again.
  13. In this order, try: Wait, sometimes the servers have problems, only wait a few hours at most. Retype your user name (both of them) and password in the boxes provided on the logon screen. Check the Second Life grid status for logon problems. http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ Try logging on at http://slurl.com/
  14. First off is there a reason for a dedicated partition on the hard drive for SL? (defrag?) Do you have it mounted correctly, configured to work with the rest of the drive. I run the cache on a second drive but would not split SL on to a second partition on a single drive system. Try run SL on the main drive (C:?) again. Low frame rates are usually caused by graphics problems and connectivity problems. Are your drivers up to date on your graphics card and Ethernet adapter?
  15. Yep, that is pretty much what it mean it no longer exists. You can search for places in the map with the URL. If it's not found there then it does not exist. However, sometimes places are off line when you search for them try them several times over a few hours to be sure. You can also try to find it using this online resource: http://slurl.com/
  16. Check your connection http://www.speedtest.net/ In XP pro you should have the Windows connection troubleshooter, run that. Have SL running when you do. Also reset the system clock. See "help and support" for that. If you have a modem unplug it wait 30 second then plug it in again. When i say unplug it i mean all the wires to it. This will update the address and make sure all the wires are fitting snuggly You can also increase the band width allowed in the viewer. This can be found in perferences>setup tab> there at the top in viewer 3. Good luck connectivity can be difficult to improve.
  17. Contact the seller of the script directly. Do you have the most current Java updates and Flash Player updates on your PC//Laptop?
  18. What message are you receiving exactly? Have you entered your password correctly and user name? A SIm is the place you do SL the land it is played on. See the map there are squares all over it, those are the SIMs, places to simulate reality as a virtual reality.
  19. Last I checked you could only purchase 10 items at a time from the Marketplace. This may have caused the problem.
  20. Are you allowing too many objects, avatars or scripts on the SIM? This will create lag and is your responsibility to fix. Mainland sim No more then 13,000-13,750 objects. No more the 1000 actually running scripts at any one time. No more the 35-40 avatars on the SIM at anyone time. This is a general guide, only. Actually, best performance is determined by a rough formula and can fluctuate depending on usage. Changing one variable will change the others thereby effecting performance. Is there a hidden griever object running on your SIM using up your resources?
  21. I think what you are say is that when you use chat to communicate with a group your display name is not showing up. Is this correct? If this is so you have two choices. (1) One you can wait and see if it is a temporary problem with the SL server system or (2) if this is a long term problem you can make out a bug report. (That groups feature has been buggy since the change over from viewer 1 to 2. I still can not change group roles within the HUD, a very annoying problem, btw.) http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/How-to-report-a-bug-or-request-a-feature/ta-p/733545
  22. Right click on the house and unclick the phantom box in the object tab.

    Lag

So your running a server rather then a PC/laptop to use SL? Please be very specific in your response. There are numerous forms of lag. I think what you are describing is due to your connection. The description is rather board and across the grid. In this order. Try the connection again after each step................. Check the grid status for the time involved http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ Make sure your Ethernet adapted driver is up to date. For wired connections for modems only: Disconnect all wires concerning your connection, wait 30 seconds then plug them back in again, including the modem and transformer. Wires should snugly fit into ports. These instructions do not apply to routers. For wireless connections and routers: Reset your system clock. see "help and support" in Windows for directions. With third party viewers open the statistics bar (view > statistics bar) and the network preferences (edit > preferences > network > maximum bandwidth slider) TP to a SIM while the SIM is rezzing set the bandwidth slide bar for the maximum kbps you can achieve in the statistics bar. This location should be near the maximum speed of your ISP service. This does not apply to the SL viewer 2 You can check your connection speed here: http://www.speedtest.net/ [i am not affiliated with this service in anyway other then I use it.] If your looses connectivity contact your ISP and complain. Expect a broken connection when connected to the Internet. SL should run continuously, SL is streaming. Note to advanced users: Use a hard wired 10/100/1000 Ethernet adapter, if possible. A wired connection is more reliable then a wireless one, switch to a wired connection if possible. If possible use a wired not a wireless connection for SL. Use these suggestions at your own risk.
  24. Some practical advise is to click the play button when it freezes, this will fix it some. Do it repeatedly, as necessary. (It's not caching enough information before it needs it.)
  25. I agree with this "Idea: firewall? Norton Internet Security? Reset router/modem by unplugging? Just some ideas." Sounds like a connection issue to me. My first guess would be the firewall then the router or modem.
