  1. I've always had a quick response to ARing the object on mainland (and don't own anywhere near a full sim). As well as no-rez/auto return, make sure you turn off object entry, to stop them getting in in the first place. Usually these things start off in a sandbox or somewhere then travel across the grid wherever they can get entry.
  2. Bump for logo exposure ;p Must be a slow drama day round here....
  3. Been happening for ages Marcus Hancroft wrote: Or you can give them the full amount and just consider the commission amount the "cost of doing business" and eat it yourself. FYI, if you submit a ticket, CTL will refund the 2nd commission. (We really need a stickied FAQ for this and the handful of other regular questions here)
  4. The lab should be pretty used to this stuff - the well-known self-replicating-cube griefer script has Philip Linden as original creator...
  5. Check your spam folder - the sender address has changed (there was some notice about it recently)
  6. Best bet is to get a custom one made - ask in one of the many "scripters for hire" groups. It's not a big job. Also move this to the scripters forum if you can.
  7. It's up to the original creator of such animations to launch a DMCA if they believe their work has been stolen. If successful, LL will remove said items from the asset database, including copies in all items that have been sold. It's not always perfect but that's the system as it stands. Without proof it's just gossip. SL is full of scummy business practices and jealous, competitive merchants - just be aware of that, do your own thing with integrity and carry on.
  8. Darrius Gothly wrote: Were you able to compare it to an existing ANS database to see if there were any "gaps"? Didn't bother, D - I just run my ANS for backup data collection.
  9. Marcus Hancroft wrote: Darrius, I just tried downloading the CSV file for this month and all I got was a large page of text all crammed together on my screen and no download proceeded. You might check and see if YOU can download yours and if not...there's more going on here than just ANS failing. I just downloaded both my SL and SLM csv without problems (altho the SLM one was slow to connect - ~30 sec)
  10. Lasher Oh wrote: ...no sales were showing up in my inbox BUT my spam count was bigger than it normally is. Ah thanks for that - i just found all mine there - and since they're automatically filtered past the inbox i would have lost them entirely otherwise. A notification email would have been nice - login msgs are pointless on MP when you're either logged in constantly , or don't need to log in for a while. But then "notification feature would be nice" is a bit of a broken record....
  11. You're confusing some things that pertain to withdrawals to paypal. Sell orders don't stop for weekends, and take no set time; they're just processed in order (price then time) which is the result of market activity.
  12. I wouldn't be giving your account info to anyone you only knew from SL (it's actually against some TOS fine print I think anyway). You can deal with any tech support via email and redeliver from the MP website without logging into SL (and that would be easy enough to teach someone in RL to do, too). Or else ppl can just wait or buy it again if they're desperate and get a refund later. You can make a note in your profile about being away and also set up an auto-response to IMs from email. And really, bringing a new person into the world wins over someone's virtual life pixel shopping.
  13. Oceane Grumiaux wrote: Yes from L to US. I do this every month. I sell it always in the same way: dollars limit sell at 247. I did it on the 18th, it' s now the 25th, minuts 2 days from the weekend it has been exactly 5 days, never took so long, so I was just worrying. I see you have it too then. There's nothing to actually "have", it just depends on the number of orders ahead of you by time/price. If you want it faster, cancel the order and relist for 248.
  14. Are you referring to the exchange from $L to $US? If so, did you do market sell or limit? And if the latter, check what price you selected (your open orders are in transaction history). My orders at 247 are currently taking 6 days to fill. $US to paypal takes about 5 days. I've noticed no changes.
  15. If LL were surgeons, they'd cure an ingrown toenail by performing bilateral leg amputations and give you a nice thick pair of gloves to make it easier to walk on your hands.
  16. VonGklugelstein Alter wrote: It is well documented that transactions that show as failed and unpaid on the merchants end resulted in a charge to the customer who does not receive a refund unless they file a ticket. My guess is that the item does get delivered because the complaints about these transactions are rare. Only if a customer does not receive the item for some reason will they contact the merchant. Sure, I know it happens - just going by your original statement that customer managed to avoid providing proof of purchase...
  17. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-8099?
  18. Meh - customer's lying/confused about declining since the order didn't get past the payment stage to be delivered and is clearly a scumbag making threats now anyway, so I wouldn't be believing anything they're saying about instructions from LL either. Bottom line, they haven't been charged so they can buy it again or go away. Just keep an eye out for harrassing reviews on the products they have and do a ticket to get them removed when/if they appear.
  19. Brand of vendor is unlikely to make any difference to that scenario. What you need to do is rez the vendor, set it to the desired group, then (before it is returned) link to another prim that's set to land group (with this extra prim as root prim). Prims in link sets keep their individual group ID for any scripts they contain.
  20. Kampu Oyen wrote: >You're trying to diagnose a general trend from isolated data. Absolutely correct. My sales are WAY up. But you don't see me trying to pretend that means everyone else must be doing something wrong. I'm not saying anyone's doing anything wrong. Just saying, as you are, that not everyone's sales fit that pattern therefore it can't be assumed to be an overall trend.
  21. 7. Three months before the system goes live, assign one junior developer to handle the data migration. 8. Skip the testing phase because the project is way behind schedule. 9. Change the system to support critical new requirements discovered during final development. 10. Buy a commercial, off-the-shelf package and customize it … a lot. They forgot 11. If you're fortunate enough to have end-user input on system requirements, ignore it.
  22. Flea Yatsenko wrote: Yes, sales are bad. They have been bad since April 30th. It has nothing to do with DD itself and it has to do with the fact that the entire marketplace and grid are in really, really bad places right now. I know, I switched to DD as soon as it came out and I saw my sales double the month I did. The next month was a little behind the previous, and last month was a record breaker again, even with sales being very severely affected the last week of my fiscal month (part of the first month was when I figured out how to fix the broken Magic Boxes and I saw sales with Magic Boxes double). Since the 30th, my daily income has been about 50-75% lower than normal. You're trying to diagnose a general trend from isolated data. Not everyone's sales follow that pattern. Look at factors related to your own visiblity/functionality/marketing.

Even if it did...at least I'd know the first time something was rezzed. But then, if we know something was purchased and we didn't receive the payment (I have no clue if this has happened to me or not) - it sounds like LL isn't going to do anything about that. Just thinking out loud here to figure out what would be helpful for my business. Ideally you'd be selling items boxed and just have it in the box - i find in practice you occasionally get someone rezzing the original box a 2nd time, but not often. I just filter all the notices to a particular folder and just search for names as needed anyway
  24. Premium members just got a survey for feedback re "Wilderness Areas". I filled mine with MP complaints. Maybe others might like to too. Arse-about yes, but hey it's a communication channel - don't seem to have many of those atm. http://secondlife.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_023LkuhkI9Dk2hu
