if it were me i wouldn't have them on mute on ur new avatar....if they ever came across u in-world by chance there might be a way for them to see that u have them on mute...and if u "don't know them" they might wonder why they have been muted and figure out its u or think ur someone they have harassed ...idk if this is even possible but we all use an open source viewer so if they are able to make viewers its within the realm of possibilities that they could see anyone who had them muted...some states in the usa have laws against internet stalking u could always talk to a lawer that specializes in internet crimes or talk to someone at ur local police dept. they could tell u more and if there is any action u can take against these guys in RL...best of luck

gl..one of many reasons to never give out RL info...u might want to change ur user account name and info on ur computer... better yet use a different computer if u can...i have played in other games and had ppl come up to me and use my RL name even though i was using one of my game names i like to use...not even close to my RL name...even my RL friends call me Sai most of the time... the only way they could have known is if they had a way to see what my user account name was on my computer so i was told...i have since changed it...i had one guy track me down and he was calling my phone # which was rlly scary...and i never gave out my RL info to anyone in game...i don't know how well SL filters the info other ppl can see about u and ur computer if at all most games don't...it would be a good idea not to have any real life info anywhere on ur hard drive...yes i know that sounds a little crazy...but i know what its like to get a phone call from a total stranger u only met a few times in game too...i hope everything works out for u

np...i thought it was a joke but then i started to think it might be real... i thought of my mom who is in her 60's trying to use her computer for the first time...lol

if ur not joking i bet ur using a mac...go to the very bottom of the screen with the pointer thing shaped like an arrow that moves around with the mouse... move it around and click at the bottom of the screen the "desk top" should pop up then move ur mouse to the desk top and click it not a program just the desk top a menu should pop up and then click turn off hiding..that should fix ur prob ...if this isn't a joke...lol the main screen is normally called the desk top...good luck it will get easier ...i grew up using computers and take it for granted a lot of ppl are just starting...i hope this helped

there is payment verification and that can get u to the adult regions...but there is also a separate age verification link on ur dash board in the "account" pull down...there r some security systems that require u have filled out the age verification not just the payment method before u enter them...i think some ppl get confuse about it since they can get in to the adult regions with only inputting their credit card...i had to do both...i worked in an adult sim and never had a prob going anywhere i wanted... then i came across a barrier that wouldn't let me through...kinda like a ban line but it says something about age verification...to fix that u just need to prove ur age with a driver's license, passport or other personal id...i hope this helps

idt u would be violating the TOS if ur were giving ur own info out...i have seen ppl's info in there profile... name, state, phone number...ur not violating anyone's private info other than urself....do ppl read the TOS or is it like a religious text that no one reads and we blindly let others tell us what in it?...lol
