First and most important is common courtesy I think for now I will just do what I have been doing on SL, either stick close to home or exploring the many places SL has to offer. I think actually after coming out of a years long relationship here that I want more than a *my place or yours* kind of thing Do you know the definition of perseverance? Steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement. After a single night out and encountering someone who was discourtesous, you're so discouraged that you're ready to give up? I think not. You're looking quite lovely all in red. I would watch the dolphin. They're not supposed to be able to jump that high. I do indeed know that definition Randall, I will go out again, I assure you Thankyou, red is one of my favorite colors, and that dolphin I can handle, I know his tricks
  2. I may not have a Beaver/Otter in my beach pic..but I do have my friendly dolphin :smileytongue: We need to do a beach thread, I am SO sick of snow..had 7 inches here yesterday and I am so ready for warm weather

Be sure to remove it before you go swimming or you'll sink straight to the bottom like a stone. You see Randall, I went for a swim this morning and didn't sink! :smileytongue: (I'm sure the beaver would have rescued me anyway) Love the suit Val, I have one just like it , classy, sexy I call it :smileyvery-happy: Your beach looks wonderful, a very inviting place to go to

Perhaps you should practice saying yes for a day, like in the film Yes Man. Alternatively, instead of waiting for the fish to bite, look for one that appeals to you and invite him to look at the cherry tree you have at your sim. When he sees it, quote Pablo Neruda: I want to do with you what spring does to cherry trees. Hmm, well Randall, I do have standards and if certain ones are not met, I do not even bother. 5. Randall Ahren wrote: Sounds like your boots work. Not everyone they hook is going to be a keeper. It seems you received a rather explicit request. I like to quote Rumi: You have been a prisoner of a little pond, and I am the ocean. Come merge with me. @Erin, looks like a screen shot from a low resolution video game. I suppose they do. But it seems everyone I do *hook* I need to toss back in. And I really liked that link to Rumi and what it says.

But the music is great, so it's alright, for now Well, you could try Lar's or Muddys if Fogbound is devoid of guys. Well it did pick up for a bit, started chatting with a guy in IM's, it progressed to dancing and then well degenerated from there. Where are the men with a bit of class?
  7. Randall Ahren wrote: Nice sim. The blossoms on the cherry tree are a little early. Sakura doesn't usually arrive until April. So how did your boots work out? I think you must have met someone. You glimpsed him from across the room and he looked back, seeing the hunger in your eyes. He walked to the center of the dance floor and said "come dance with me", but you were already there waiting for him. @Marianne, ty. I think a water horse is a dragon. You do like spooky. I'm looing forward to seeing the light you. @Uncommon, nice photo. It reminds me of a line from an old song "she moves through moonlight, only to burn me with the sun." Lol Randall, I wish , but actually had quite a nice time last night, an old friend logged in that I haven't seen in a long time, so we spent hours at my sim chatting and dancing Was a good time. And atm sitting at Fogbound wondering where the hell all the men are? lol. But the music is great, so it's alright, for now
  8. Thanks Marianne I did go and buy that hair as well.
  9. Kylie Jaxxon wrote: Just in time for Spring :smileywink: Lol Kylie, yeah I guess you are right , I always get this urge around spring to change everything :smileyvery-happy:
  10. My latest find... working on changing over my sim to give it a Japanese look.. The outside..
  11. valerie Inshan wrote: Count me in the "no bangs" fans Saraya, this hair looks really sexy on you! Ah, there's nothing like relaxing on my private beach! I've wanted it to look like a north western coast landscape. You won't find any coconut trees here. :smileyhappy: Thanks Val Seems the *no bangs* won, I got that hair in all shades:smileyvery-happy: Love your beach Val, looks so peaceful and inviting
  12. UncommonTruth wrote: /me swoons Thank you Saraya! lol You are so welcome Uncommon :smileyvery-happy:
  13. Randall Ahren wrote: Saraya Starr wrote: And Randall, I think most of the women here would like to see more pics of you here, so be bored more often and post away OK, here you go. However, in return I request a full report of how your night out went. This was last night at Foxxies. It's my favorite place for formal dancing now. I like the fountain and they have a piano and a harp nearby. The animations are also really good from the Intan dance balls. Bogarts might be my second favorite, or possibly NY Ballroom Jazz or Avilion. Well hot damn Randall.. *fans self and swoons* Well, since I just logged in, I have nothing to report as of yet
  14. Randall Ahren wrote: This is my second favorite look for you of the three photos that you posted with that shirt. Short hair might be better for dancing since it doesn't go into your body as much or into your dance partner's body if you're dancing closely. How about your profile? I think it's closed. You might want to open it so someone can read it and get an idea of something to talk to you about. I think you'll attract some attention with that look. @Jesica, you two are looking pretty in pink. Hope you're feeling better. @Thanks Val. Ok, ok, guess I'll get the one without bangs @ Uncommon Thanks, guess the majority rules here..lol
  15. I am having the same problem here. Yes, usually he does respond quickly, but I have sent 3 Notecards about purchases I made on the Marketplace on the 20th, and still nothing back.
  16. Charolotte Caxton wrote: Both! You look great in either. Thanks Charo , Guess I will get both, was leaning that way anyway.
  17. Ok I need an opinion here, I went to Truth Hair and got these 2 demos. Which do you think is better, the one without bangs or the one with? I like both really, just can't decide. lol
  18. Ready for a night out, can't wait until tonight to see if these boots can work some magic :smileyvery-happy:
  19. valerie Inshan wrote: Thank you Saraya and Randall. :smileyhappy: I probably wouldn't have closed my club if I had had the chance to have fellows like you in there. :smileywink: You are very welcome Val And that is sweet to say :smileywink:
  20. valerie Inshan wrote: Talking about blues clubs reminds me of Toby's Juke Joint good old times. This awesome club, really the best at that time, sadly suddenly closed in August 2010. A few weeks later Ajja and I opened our own cozy club, with many of the DJs who used to perform at Toby's. It's been a blast from the beginning and we've been doing great for 4 months. But running a club is a tough job, it got to be too much stress and time spent for me and we decided to close. Still I have very fond memories of the Shangri La Blues Club... This is how it looked like (the second pic was a party for my RL birthday, with Toby himself DJing). And, I agree about the Junkyard. DJs are great and people are friendly but I really can't get to like the decor. It's way too cold for a blues joint. I only go there once in a while when one of my DJ friends is playing. On a completely different topic, here's me loving my new hair and my new beach! :smileyhapp Would have loved to have gone to your club Val, looks like it would have been a fun place to hangout I am always looking for a good blues club to go to. Love your new hair as well, looks great on you Isn't it great to have your own beach? :smileyvery-happy:
  21. I've been to Fogbound Blues and I love it, Junkyard, not so much I've give those places a look at tomorrow if I am online. I don't think we'll become tired of pics, but hey can't force you to now can we? lol Ok, *yawns* time for me to finally drag myself out of SL and get some sleep.
  22. Randall Ahren wrote: I posted two pictures today. The other is in the Light & Shadows thread. Piercings should only be for ears. I think you were a good fairy, even though lip piercings are evil. :smileywink: @Saraya, thank you. What clubs do you have in mind? I think Muddys or Lar's would be your best bet with boots like that. Maybe somebody else has some good suggestions. You are quite welcome Randall I've never been to Lar's or Muddy's..so these boots would work well at those places hmm? But not tonight, it's getting late here. Maybe tomorrow night I'll give it a shot. And Randall, I think most of the women here would like to see more pics of you here, so be bored more often and post away
  23. Randall Ahren wrote: I'm guessing you were good, unless you were evil disguised as good. Do you have a lip piercing? @Saraya, nice boots. You should wear them on a night out somewhere and see if other residents are suitably impressed. IM a guy, and say "hey, like my boots?" @Uncommon, pretty. Good thing you took photos because evidently nobody is getting back in. PS, I'm bored. Here's a photo of me taking a break from shopping to have a cup of tea and do a little reading. It's at a shop called Just Because: Thanks Randall, maybe I'll go do that I have to agree with Charo and Uncommon, that pic is hot
  24. I got a bit bored today, so I went shopping.. I am loving these boots... Boots by Drakke, called Starstruck...
  25. Randall Ahren wrote: Saraya Starr wrote: A fascinating read..How to Understand that curious creature called man... And after the night I had in SL, not sure I really want to..lol Nice jeans. Sexy without crossing over into being slutty. So what was it about your night in SL? You know, some nights in SL are just a complete waste of makeup. Well I met this noob a couple months back, he was my neighbor before I moved to where I am now. To make a long story short, I finally said yes to a date. I get all dressed up and meet him to go dancing, and not 5 minutes into this date he suddenly ports away. I am left standing there wondering wth happened. So I send a IM and after maybe 5 minutes I get a *sorry sweet I have to go, we shall meet again*. I figure, ok fine, timing was just bad and he had to log . But no, he never logged off and at the time of this writing he is still online Yeah, to me that means wife/gf or whoever came in and he didn't want to get caught. Thanks for the jeans comment though, think I will just continue to wish upon that star and hope one of my wishes come true.
