  1. I thought they might have been referencing non-USA accounts who want to add pay info; they're handled differently, as you cannot simply add a card or whatever from your account>billing section. More info: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Local_Payments_FAQ
  2. As stated before, you can always unsubscribe from these notices using the links provided in the email and it should not interfere with other LL emails. However, if you do not trust just unsubscribing, maybe set up a filter in your email for the address these particular emails come from? In my headers it's listed as secondlife@e.secondlife.com. I filter ALL SL email to it's own folder anyway, which isn't a bad idea.

Consider that for every person who posts there are umpteen people who just lurk.... I know some of my sl friends that do not post in the forums commented to me about seeing my name on the dashboard. And now that venue of communication is gone.:smileysad: Yeah, I pretty much just lurk, hardly post and therefore never really log in. Imagine my confusion seeing that post about an Off Topic being added, run over to the main forums page and..... no off topic. For a few minutes I thought it was some terrible joke until I realized that I should try signing in... :smileysurprised: Maaaan, what is with these smileys? Consequently, I never really noticed the forums thing on the dashboard, and actually found teh forum because of some issue or other that I had at one point and figured surely SL has a forum. Everything does these days!
  4. That is really strange. I just looked and mine actually shows the buttons to add cc or PayPal and I stepped someone else through theirs a few days ago using the PP option with no issues, so I *know* it's possible, but why not for you? Truly bizarre. Also, what's with the VAT ID? Maybe something about that is causing it to not give you the option to add the payment info? Edit: OI, they've done crazy things for non-US residents as far as billing info. Not sure if it would explain much for you, you may have already seen it. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Local_Payments_FAQ#What_payment_methods_are_available.3F Now I'm done being a stupid American. -__-- Message was edited by: Kei Zero
  5. Actually, you can. Once you log in on the Second Life website, there should be links in a pane to the left on your account home page. If you go to Billing Information (under the account tab) you should be able to add a credit card or a *verified* PayPal account. Once you set that up, your profile will say "Payment Info on File". Since you've already bought Linden it won't help you much now, but it's out there for any one else who may have problems. Wish I could've helped out earlier, sorry.
