Hi. I run a gaming area in SL and have noticed a steady drop in new avatars coming to my Sim. I've talked to some other local sim owners about what they do to attract new avatar visits. Most say that linden giveaways and freebies are some of the best ways to attract new customers. However, I'm giving away $500 a week on a free raffle and have tons of free games where you can win money and I'm still seeing a steady decline in visitors. I'm curious about what attracts you to a new sim? What types of incentives draw you to a new area? Do you look at ads or popularity count? Do you use the search engine in SL? How do you determine what types of sims to visit and what keeps you there once you stop by? If you are a sim owner, what types of tips and tricks do you use to attract new customers and avatars? Any thoughts will be appreciated. I'm still learning how everyone approaches this game even after playing for multiple years!

Hello! My name is Ran Modan. I own a gaming sim along with a Live VIP venue above it. The VIP room is kind of a "vegas-style" showroom that is designed to feature musical talent. We have a house stream that people can use to sing on for karaoke or performances. I'm looking for some hosts who can just hang out for a while and run a karaoke night. Its pretty easy. You just change the stream and mingle with the audience while the singers perform. The pay is pretty nice too! $200L per event you run AND 100% of tips to YOU and the VENUE! Its pretty common to take $500L+ when you run an open mic. Now, if you sing, even better! I have some hosts who are also singers and they take turns with the singers and showcase their talent to the audience. I occasionally get talent scouts and club owners stopping by to check out the action and see if they can find some singers for their club! So, its a great way to network and maybe pick up some new gigs! Here's the best part: You run the events whenever you feel like it. There is no schedule or requirement. Its up to you. I've got a gaming sim and karaoke lounge running in game. I'm looking for hosts to run the karaoke site. I'll pay you $200 per event you hosts (2 hour minimum). Just hang out and manage the stream for the singers and collect the tips! You get ALL TIPS (land, personal, management, etc.). Most make a few hundred on top of the $200, so its not unusual to come out ahead about $1000 per event. If you SING as well, that's a bonus and can really rake in the tips!! Do you like to play games? There are various places around SL where you can play games for free and win $L. My casino has several games like that. There are also places that offer a RAFFLE that will pay you $L just for entering. I have a raffle like that at my place as well. With a little searching you might find quite a bit out there that will make you $$ in no time and its all at your convenience. No worries about being there unless you want to be. :matte-motes-big-grin: I'm also looking for hosts to do OPEN MIC/KARAOKE and you can do it whenever you want as well, but you'd have to commit to staying there for a couple hours once you start.
