  1. Try using Ferefox, Safari, Chrome or another browser and see if that reselves the issue. While IE doesn't play well with Second Life it should display properly with clearing of the cache or a reload. Also make sure your operating system is patched and the browser is current and up to date.
  2. It appears to be an issue with the ATI/AMD grpahics drivers and you should roll them back to the most stable version. The drivers for ATI have been notoriously buggy with Second Life and mesh. When I used an ATI card I found the 12.x driver series to be reasonably stable.
  3. There are serious known issues with ATI and AMD grahpics drivers and you should downgrade to the most stable version, I have found that the 12.xx drivers seem to work the best for ATI/AMD cards. Nvidia cards do not seem to suffer any serious problems with displaying mesh and in fact I have encountered no issues on Nvidia. Also be aware no matter what card and chipset you use, Second Life usually doen't play nice with any of them, though as I posted above some cards are less problematic than others. I hope that helps you out and makes your inworld expereinces more pleasant. Felicia
  4. Great photo and very well done and thought out!
  5. Let me start by saying Bienvenidos to Second Life Rod. It's actually refreshing to see someone in the leadership role actually come in and explore the world and immerse themselves in what we all work so hard to create here. That being said let me state one fact to remember, You will not be able to please everyone all of the time nor should you try to. Second Life is filled with wonderful and awesomely talented people who have for many years created many wonderful things, myself included. As long as you remember it's the residents who make this world what it is you have won part of the battle, the other part of the battle is to fix the things that need to be fixed and not add new features that bring nothing to the table, having been here for 3 years I still see some of the bugs from "Christmas Past" A very warm welcome Rod and we all look forward to seeing more of your adventures and posts here and I am already impressed by your explorations and the the Lincoln Log look wasn't all that bad nor was the landscape, but at least you are seeing the tools we have at hand and trying them. Enjoy and have loads of fun as we all do here.
  6. Welcome Mr. Humble; I certianly hope you live up to your credentials as every other CEO Linden Labs has tried has been a miserable failure. Oh and yes please do listen to the residents as we are the ones that give Second Life it's life. And lastly at least commincate and let us know what is planned and not just ram it down our throats and say like it or else. Good luck to you and may 2011 and your new leadership role bring new life into our world. Feliciana M. Zabaleta
