Hi all, I've been trying to research this and have been having a hard time finding anything as a plausible response. We rent our land for our estate from someone else. We occasionally got visitors with the majority of them flitting off on their own. Some don't so we wanted to look at getting security. We didn't want to set the land to group only as not everyone has the space available for another group just to stop by and ban lines are ugly. So, we opted for a security orb. We currently have it set to 10 seconds, but looking to see what is both socially acceptable without being considered greifing and reportable. I know some people say they were looking for 30 seconds and others support auto-eject but some have said that auto-eject can be see as greifing. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yep, I saw the blog and it mentioned about exhibitors but not about performers. Which is why I asked 😃 But I can understand why they may not announce it ahead of time to give some people a benefit over others.

So, last year I missed the sign ups for performers for the SL16B since I had just returned in March of last year after a 10+ year hiatus and didn't know it was a thing. My partner managed to get in as a DJ for 1 event but unfortunately, I couldn't attend her show. With SL17B coming up, I'm hoping to throw my own hat in for this as a DJ. I see that live performers have their sign-up now and exhibitors were just announced....do we know when it's going to be announced for sign-ups for other performers? Thanks!

As others have stated above, the doubling of chat is something to do with lag. If resetting modem/router does not resolve the issue, a suggestion is to have them reach out to their ISP to have someone come out and look at their connection. I've seen this several times and it was always connection related.

I've been looking for for a specific set of dances but I haven't had any luck as of yet. To give you an idea on what I'm looking for. Does anyone have a store that they could share that could fill this hole in my dancing soul? Thanks!

I have a linden home now, but it's one of the old ones that i don't want to abandon just yet as I heard the new homes are sold out. Is there a mailing list available to sign up on so we can get an FYI on when these are ready again? I'd really like one of those boat houses. Thanks!

You'd need some kind of streaming service to broadcast to, and then have it provide some method of broadcasting in SL. Some DJs use SAM and something as simple as Shoutcast
