  1. What I do is open the edit terrain window on select land and drag a narrow strip along a size. when you get to the end divide the sqm by 4 to get the length of that side, then repeat for the other side.
  2. Doesn't it count traffic if you are set to away? I need to set myself as away more often then... That's because it's pretty cheap for them to just have their own traffic bots on the sim somewhere.
  3. I don't live there, I rent out land. I would love to see the continents completed, but the way it is now we get sea views with the small tradeoff of needing to cover that gap.
  4. When I travelled it, I walked visiting all the places that added an entry along the wall.
  5. Give the group the 1024m tier first, it will then say you have 1120m available. You can then buy up to 1120m of land using the buy for group option.
  6. Did the group have enough tier? Nothing will happen if the group doesn't have the tier for it.
  7. I liket he wall and I do travel along it sometimes. nowhere near as much as I used to but thats because nowadays I don't travel much.

While that does show the scripts are using all the frame time in the region, check 100 regions at random that have at least 50% of the prims used (I used to say no more than 50% abandoned land but even a lot of owned land doesn't have anything on it). I haven't done this test in quite some time (and I previously checked for 50% abandoned not total prims used) but I did find that in most cases the scripts are using almost all of the frame time. Here are 10 regions I just checked at random (please note the values entered were all manual checks, I have not used anything to average values over a period of time and I just watched for 15-30 seconds and entered an approximation for script time/spare time and scripts run based on the values I saw. Any region I saw with less than 5000 prims I skipped. Extrapolating the data to a full sim's usage clearly shows a trend of bad performance, so increasing prim counts as previously done was not beneficial to region performance and it won't be until scripts can be run faster allowing more scripts to run in the same time. Sure you can say it's the resident's fault for using so many scripts or badly made scripts but at the end of the day, most users don't understand what causes the lag and how to fix it which is caused by both bad information and lack of education. In one of the regions where I own land I watched the spare time go from ~12ms to 0ms and scripts run plumeted to 50% when a casino moved into a 4096m. We as residents don't get the proper tools to be able to track down and remove scripts which are using up the script time.
  9. That seems a little pointless, Most regions I have seen have no spare time unless they are pretty empty. This. Over a year reporting someone and LL did nothing, I really don't think they care about that rule.
  10. If they are touching the border they can sometimes be returned so move them 0.01m into the parcel.

IIRC LL was hiring a mobile developer for SL within the last 6 months, so I would say they might be working on an app. I am also working on an app (so far tested on Android and iOS and it's working but still needs a lot of work before I release it). Unfortunately when I do release it, it likely won't be a native iOS app due to not owning a mac.
  12. It wasn't that obvious actually. I just assumed they were on low staff for the holidays so it was taking much longer to get to people (even though it said under 3 minutes) also it was pretty important so I had to wait.

  14. I've had live chat open for the last 2 hours waiting for a reply. It says "Currently replying in under 3 minutes" yet it has been 2 hours without a single reply. I thought I would quickly get a reply on live chat and then I can get some sleep but instead, I'm sitting here waiting for a reply at 3:30 am.

  16. Why on earth would they pay you for owning more land? Why wouldn't they just reduce the fees if they wanted to reward you for owning more land.
  17. The beta grid is a copy of the main grid at a certain time. Any land that was for sale in the region will be set for sale in the beta grid. If you do buy land there it may be lost at any time due to the region being copied from the main grid again or the region no longer being on the beta grid.

  21. Deed the land to a group and assign staff to a role with the Allow 'Event Hosting' on group land ability.

  23. Yes. LL is pretty strict on what you can and can't do with their logos. You can for example use the "inSL" logo but you cannot use the eye in hand logo. There are restrictions on how things can be used detailed here as people have said above. I don't recall linking to the signup page to ever be an issue. I would be opening that in the user's browser though not loading it within your app itself. Hmm... I was under the impression they were no longer giving our RegAPI access other than for the custom name program
